Fort Horsted ghost hunt 28th March 2015
Chatham, Kent

Fort Horsted holds a special interest for us as a team as this was one of the first indoor locations that we investigated plus it was also the venue that we joined the US Ghost Adventures crew and filmed with them in 2012.

As usual I picked a room that was furthest away from the base room for all my sessions. All the group sessions in this room we were joined by a spirit called Andrew, he was a Second World War spirit who was tasked to load the shells onto the cartridge and shell lifts.

The first session there was also a female spirit who I have seen before in this room, her name was Annie and she was a nurse, however all the movement was caused by Andrew. He was able to lift and move the majority of people’s arms, twist them but when anyone asked him to move their arms he obliged. He was also able to rock, sway and move people, pulling them down by their arms to the floor, although for once no-one ended up on the floor. (I usually ask for this, but didn’t on this occasion). He also manipulated some people backwards, pushing them beyond the centre of gravity, a bit like moves from “The Matrix” film!

The second group to this room also had their hands lifted but the activity was less than the first group because half the group failed to get involved, we always say in the opening talk if you want stuff to happen you have to get involved, if you stand in silence then nothing will happen and that is exactly what happened with half of the group. Although one guest felt something brush past him, he likened it to a person tugging on his jeans, similar to how a child might.

The third group to this room, probably had some of the most interesting movement out of all the groups. Nearly everyone had their hands lifted and moved, sometimes on command, sometimes not! People were pushed backwards and swayed, rocked and pushed. Several times my hands were pulled to the floor and then “wiped” on the shirt of another guest, much to our amusement. Other times they were lifted as high as the guest could stretch.

After visiting the whistling tunnel where not much happened with any group we went into a room upstairs which is the reverse of the Hanging room, this is a room where the cartridges and shells would have been lifted into and then carried to the guns on the top of the fort. I have visited this room in the past but never for any length of time, but it is weird in here, so I took each group here on our way back to the base room.

We were standing around the room and listening to the wind outside, a spirit called Cecil joined us and he seemed to have a deformed left leg, it looked like a birth defect rather than an injury, he was also a Second World War soldier and he made everyone feel light headed and unsteady on their feet as many people were swaying and rocking. Jason (GHE camera) had to move away from the stairs as it felt he was being pushed towards them.

The second group to this room, myself and another guest felt like our feet were stuck to the floor a bit like the feeling if they were set in concrete. Cecil was in this room although I’m not sure he was responsible for this feeling. Once again some people were swaying although this time no-one felt any sensations of dizziness apart from Jason (GHE camera), who seemed to “Zone out” and when I shook him (as it looked like he was asleep standing up) he seemed disorientated and confused and said that he felt he wasn’t in the room. Later in the evening this happened to another guest who visited this room. I asked several times for Cecil or any other spirit to make a noise, several times we heard knocks in response to what I asked, sometimes the knocks were heard before I finished talking. We will try to confirm these incident from the video that we recorded.

The third group in this room had some odd experiences, one lady couldn’t climb the steps so Jason (GHE camera) stayed with her at the bottom of the staircase. We could hear them talking at times. Once again people generally felt strange in the room and when I asked for noises to be made in the room we didn’t hear anything, then we all heard the sound of someone with heels on walk away, at first we thought it could be the lady with Jason, until someone pointed out that she wasn’t wearing heels or shoes that could make that noise, then we heard chatter. When we left the room and met up with them both, neither of them were wearing shoes that could have made the noise we heard. Unfortunately we will have nothing to back up this claim as Jason had the camera (which was off) and was downstairs at the time and the both of them heard nothing. The chatter also wasn’t them as they had already left to head back to the base room.

After we had held three controlled sessions we left the guests to go off on their own under guidance from us to do their own style ghost hunt or to investigate rooms on their own. During this time we allow the guests to borrow our ghost hunting equipment. We checked up on various groups of people throughout the night, although this was made more difficult because of the time change from GMT to BST!

Many guests went into the room we used for various session and some felt the same sensations that other did. Especially the “Zoning out” sensation and the feet stuck to the floor sensations in the mirror to the hanging room.

All in all this was an excellent ghost hunt with some great guests who thoroughly enjoyed their paranormal experiences at Fort Horsted. We’ll look forward to seeing them again at other venues.

Fort Amherst – 21-03-2015 (Kerry)

Monday, March 30th, 2015

Fort Amherst ghost hunt 21st March 2015
Chatham. Kent

Location: The Cave
Equipment: Ouija and table tilting.

Session 1 – Group C (VIPs)

We began the session by splitting the group so that some were on the Ouija and the others around the table. As soon as we placed our hands on the table it began to rock gently and the movement gradually got stronger. When requested to do so, spirit tilted the table up onto one leg and did a complete rotation. I came off the table at this point and asked spirit to try and walk the table down the two steps beside us, which it did to the guests amazement. We continued encouraging spirit to walk the table and it continued walking towards the barrels and tried to manoeuvre between two of them. It was a bit of a struggle as there wasn’t much room between them, but spirit seemed very persistent and eventually managed to squeeze the table through! The table then started picking up speed and continued walking down into the tunnel. Kym and I started calling out asking spirit to bring the table back, but the table just kept going! After a while the table did stop walking and started rocking from side to side quite violently as if in protest. It seemed it didn’t want to go back to where we started, and just wanted to keep going! We continued asking spirit to bring the table back and after a while it started walking back up the tunnel, re-tracing its steps, and took the table right back to where we started. The guests were amazed by what they had just experienced.
Sue was with the other guests on the Ouija table and they connected with a male spirit of 71 years, although they were unable to get a name. Sue sensed this man had breathing problems. He was never married, had no children, and he used to do maintenance work at the fort. After giving this information it became clear that he did not wish to communicate further.
The guests then swapped round so the others who were doing the table tilting could try the Ouija, and a male spirit by the name of Alan came through. He was 34 years old and died in 1904 via a gunshot to the head, his right temple. He said he was a civilian and not a soldier, was shot by his friend and was sad that his life had ended so early.
Before our session ended we thought we would try asking spirit if they were able to move one of the large barrels in the same way it had moved the table. So we gathered around one of them and placed our hands on the top and to our amazement the barrel started rocking from side to side, gradually getting faster and making lots of noise. Our time was up after a short time so we thanked spirit for their cooperation and finished the session.

Session 2 – Group A

Unfortunately on this session we didn’t get much activity. The group was split once again, and we had no movement from the glass at all on the Ouija, so a couple of the guests moved over to try the table tilting. There was a slight rocking on the table initially but even with all our encouragement it was difficult to get much more movement than that. Although the table did eventually tilt up on two legs and held this position for a while. The table then moved back to its starting position and there was no more movement. The guests who hadn’t tried the Ouija decided to have a go, and again there was no movement on the glass for quite some time. It was only about 10 minutes before the end of the session that the glass started moving, but we were unable to get any information as spirit only seemed interested in randomly moving the glass around the table.

Session 3 – Group B

Once again at the start of this session there was no movement on the Ouija so the guests decided to try the table tilting. The table took a while to move, but it eventually started to rock gently. The guests were very quiet so I kept urging them to join me in encouraging spirit to move the table. When everyone started to join in, the table started moving faster and spirit seemed to respond better to the noise we made. Whenever everyone went quiet the table would slow down and stop moving. We eventually managed to get spirit to spin the table on one leg and walk the table down the steps.

Fort Amherst ghost hunt – 21st March 2015

Thursday, March 26th, 2015

Fort Amherst ghost hunt 21st March 2015
Chatham, Kent

This was our second visit to this fort and we were hoping for the event to be just as active and interesting as the first event we held back in December 2014. We were not disappointed and the activity here only make us enthusiastic to return.

This time around the tech group were in the radio rooms at the bottom of the tunnel as this is the quietest area and the second group halfway up the tunnel and my group in the upper gun floor.

All of my sessions the same spirit was present, a young lad aged about 29 from recent times 1981 was the year given, who was a local lad who worked on building sites. Whether he worked at Fort Amherst is not known as he didn’t want to give his name. He was approximately 6’ in height, of an average build wearing a white T shirt and jeans and DM boots. For whatever reason the boots seemed to be more important but unfortunately why was not established.

The first group contained our regular ghost hunters, some of which are sceptics the male spirit was able to manipulate some people easily and lifted their arms and pushed and swayed them, whilst a couple of the sceptics felt their arms tingle, this was the first time that either had felt this sensation and they found it interesting as they could not explain or find a reason for the sensation. Several times Anita (guest on my right) was pushed backwards.

The second group also felt their arms being manipulated but it became apparent that the spirit wanted to do more and started to push people, sway them and gently rock them. A guest next to me could feel his knees twitching to the point that spirit wanted to make him touch the floor. On the other side of the circle another guest had the same sensation. After a lot of encouragement from the rest of the group both Curt and Darren were kneeling on the floor, however it was Darren that felt to full effect of the spirit and he ended up face down on the floor!

However the spirit tried to push Curt, me and Sarah (who was on my right) to the floor, it nearly worked although we were able to stay on our feet. Other guests in the group were not affected unfortunately.

The third group, were all our VIP guests for the night and because their group was the smallest they had more unique activity happen to them. The male spirit started by pushing and rocking everyone as well as moving the arms of a few. The best part though happened about 15 minutes into the séance. I was encouraging the spirit to do something to Jamie (as he booked the event for his friends). It took a while but eventually the spirit touched Jamie twice, once whilst other activity was going on, and again when Jamie was trying to explain what happened the first time around! Watch what happened at https://youtu.be/uNN4FsA9X6M

There was also a female spirit present during the session although she didn’t interfere, she just watched and tittered when something funny happened. She was from the Victorian period because of what she was wearing, although she too did not give me her name.

This was an excellent ghost hunt and we as a team hope to return to the venue later in the year.

Landguard Fort ghost hunt – 14th March 2015

Wednesday, March 18th, 2015

Landguard Fort ghost hunt 14th March 2015
Felixstowe, Suffolk

It was with sadness that we attended as this event was due to be the last ghost hunt here at the Fort. We have had some amazing things happen to us over the years and this final ghost hunt did not disappoint.

As usual I took one of the old magazine rooms near the entrance to the Fort. Here we met a spirit called Philip who was aged in his early 60’s and dressed as a plumber or boiler repair man. He was able to manipulate people’s arms and push, pull and sway people. This usually happened on command, but sometimes he moved a person by surprise, much to the delight of the guests. All three groups felt this activity.

However the first group also saw strange shadows and lights towards the end of the room, plus some strange noises, the second group another male spirit made most of the women feel sick, one had to be removed from the group as she felt that unwell. The third group had less activity in this room but after the spirit had moved all of the people, he seemed to lose interest.

After holding a séance for about 30 minutes all groups then walked through the tunnels, normally I would stop at the Caponier but because of the cold wind which made this area so much colder than being outside, I walked on to another magazine room which wasn’t windy to see if anything could be experienced by the guests and then walked on to the mine room.

In the magazine rooms (there are several) different groups felt different things, in one room there was a young army spirit, whose job was to wash/change the felt over-clothes (these were used in the days when the magazines rooms contained gun powder, as any spark could blow up the room), we also met a shy female spirit who didn’t wish to interact with the groups, but she seemed to roam the corridors.

In the Mine room, (a room used to assemble sea mines) we met a portly male spirit who didn’t wish to interact with us, although when I pointed out where he stood to various guests, they could all feel a warm sensation.

Often the most interesting activity happens when no-one is expecting it and whilst the table tilting sessions were surprising the best activity happened in the free time session at the end of the night. A group of guests were in the rooms above the break room, (these were once officer’s quarters) using a Ouija board on the floor. The Ouija board was made from wood and couldn’t bend.

The guests were talking to a spirit using the board, but what was strange is that when the planchette was mid-motion and sometimes stationary the actual Ouija board was spinning underneath the planchette, sometimes fast, sometimes slowly. Obviously no-one could be moving the Ouija board as all hands were on the planchette. A few guests filmed this, hopefully we’ll get a copy of the footage because we didn’t do any filming. Strangely the room that this happened to the guests is also the same room that we had doors slam in people’s faces last year.

This was an excellent ghost hunt, we hope that this is not the last, we hope to return some day

Fort Borstal ghost hunt – 10th January 2015

Friday, February 20th, 2015

Fort Borstal ghost hunt 10th January 2015
Rochester, Kent

This was the first public event of 2015 and Fort Borstal is a favourite location for many of the Ghost Hunt Events team we were all hoping for a good start to 2015. We were not disappointed.

We were joined by a mixture of familiar spirits and new / unknown spirits but the general theme seemed to be a physical one.

The first group consisted of lots of arm movement and people being pushed and pulled by spirit. Some of the guests heard odd noises and seeing shadows in the entrance to the room we were in. Several people were pushed to the floor, which is not unusual in this room.

The second group received lots more arm movement and pushing by spirit. This time though it was a little different as everyone was being pushed or pulled in a different direction, most people ended up against a wall. Two people who ended up on the floor (usually spirit stop affecting people once they are on the floor) were pushed continuously until they were lying down, which was a little strange.

Noises were also heard during this session which had no explanation.

The third group received some arm movement and pushing but a lot less than the previous two groups. However the people either side of me were pulled down towards the floor but there were little movements elsewhere in the group. This was caused by the group not encouraging the spirit or in some cases not even speaking at all.

The free session which we always hold after we have held our controlled sessions, I joined a group in the same room that I held the séances.

Once again lots of arm movement and pushing and pulling sensations. We were joined by a spirit that I had seen in earlier sessions. He was called Porker (a nickname) about 5’9″ in height, very portly, bald head, but a full beard. He was a prisoner who was conscripted to build the fort. During the séance there were lots of surprising movements, people who were standing firmly one minute, the next pulled to the floor and twisted with other who were already on the floor. Towards the end of that session everyone was pushed or pulled backward until they were against a wall. This is possible in this room because it is not a square room. One person had to be removed/rescued from the séance as she was affected by the spirit and was shaking uncontrollably. Once removed from the séance circle she recovered from these effects.

This was a brilliant start to 2015 with lots of paranormal encounters experienced by the guests. It was also the first night that we had VIP guests. For more info on this see http://www.ghosthuntevents.co.uk/vip.php

There will be a separate report from the VIP guests.

Fort Amherst – 13th December 2014 (Kerry)

Thursday, January 8th, 2015

Fort Amherst 13th December 2014
Chatham, Kent

Equipment: Dowsing Rods, Pendulums and Ouija board
Area: Radio Room

1st Session

At the start of the session we used the rods and pendulums and each guest had a turn at using them. We all had lots of movement on these, and guests were getting responses to questions. Kym and one of the guests picked up on a short man called Bob, around 5’6”, with a moustache and short dark hair. Another guest kept feeling cold spots on her, although the room we were in was very warm.
During the Ouija session a spirit came through but we were unable to get any facts from them as the glass kept moving to No for every question we asked! Spirit made it clear they didn’t like us being there. Kym and Nick (guest) heard one of the metal beds in the room rattling. We then started calling out and listening for noises, to which there were two taps on the wall behind me, followed by a tap on the door and the metal urn. Nick wandered to the other end of the room by the door and heard a noise from behind it. At exactly the same time Kym saw a black shadow on the door.

2nd Session

We again started this session with the rods and pendulums and everyone experienced lots of movement and responses. Guests also mentioned feeling cold spots.
A French male spirit came through on the Ouija, who used to work at the Fort. There were several attempts to get his name but this couldn’t be determined, although we established his age as being 44. He seemed to like Gaynor (guest) to ask the questions and would respond better to her than anyone else. Gaynor said she kept being touched on her left shoulder and she sensed that he was near her as she felt cold on that side. We heard a whistle in the room so we asked spirit to copy our whistles to which they responded each time. One of the guests saw a flash at the end of the room by the door and when we asked the spirit via the Ouija if he was by the door, he responded with a Yes. The ghost pro also responded to confirm this. On leaving the room at the end of the session we all heard three successive groans behind us.

3rd Session

Lots of activity once again on the rods and pendulums. During the Ouija session a female spirit called Victoria came through. She was 28, died in 1925 and used to work at the Fort. She was happy to communicate with us and responded well to our questions. We heard two loud taps on one of the metal beds at the other end of the room, and we called out asking spirit to do it again, but they didn’t. I sensed there was someone standing by the door at the end of the room and when I asked if there was a spirit by the door, the glass moved to Yes.

4th Session

Once again people felt cold spots in the room during the rods and pendulums session, despite the room being the warmest in the Fort. A couple of the guests using the rods asked spirit to point them in the direction of where they were standing, and the rods moved round simultaneously to point in the same direction.
Through the Ouija in this session we connected with a male spirit called Nigel who was 27 years old. He said his wife was called Nancy, aged 28 and they had a 4 year old son called Stuart. There was lots of information coming through and we established that they all died from TB in 1907. He said both himself and his wife worked at the Fort, he was a soldier and she was a nurse.

Landguard Fort – 29th November 2014 (Kym)

Thursday, January 8th, 2015

Landguard Fort 29th November 2014
Felixstowe, Suffolk

Area: Mine Room – used to create sea mines
Equipment: Dowsing Rods, Pendulums, Table Tipping

Group C – We started by using the rods and pendulums to communicate with the spirit with us, initially there was a female spirit, aged over 20 years, and had worked here.  Her husband had also worked at the Fort and was with us too.  We tried the table tipping and had some creaks and slight movement.  We were feeling cold touches on our hands.  We also explored the surrounding rooms too.

Group D – Again started with the rods & pendulums, we had a male spirit with us, aged over 100 years!  Not sure if that was true.  He said there were between 15 – 20 spirits with us.  He had worked here in the army in the 1900’s.  He was married with no children.  We then tried the table tipping and this time the table started moving immediately.  It would lift and spin in many different ways.  We were also hearing noises in the room near us, and out in the corridor, we were seeing shadows in the doorway, and continued to hear what sounded like people talking in the room we were in.

Group A – We used the rods & pendulums again to communicate with spirit, and it was the same male spirit that was moving the table previously.  We were hearing noises outside, very loud similar to heavy footsteps.  Tried table tipping and lots of movement as before.

Group B – Using the rods & pendulums as before, and again we had the same male spirit with us.  He said he was in his twenties, and was a British Soldier here at the fort in the 1900’s.  He said his name was Robert.  Again Robert stepped forward to move the table with us, twisting, spinning as before, slow at first, then increasing the speed when asked, and changing direction when asked.  We asked the spirit to ‘walk’ the table to the door, and it did by spinning in different directions.
During the free session i joined several groups of guests, but what did amaze me, and all others that saw, some team and guests had started in an upstairs room table tipping, however the table ‘walked’ out of the room, all round the upstairs areas of the fort, and then finishing by coming down a full flight of stairs.  Pretty incredible!

I absolutely love coming to Landguard Fort, there are always new places to explore, and something different happens every time.

Fort Horsted – 11th October 2014 (Kerry)

Thursday, January 8th, 2015

Fort Horsted 11th October 2014 –  The Hanging Room
Chatham, Kent

1st Session

We had a group of eight guests so we split the group in half, four on each Ouija table. On my table it took a while for the glass to move but when it did, a female spirit came through who spelled out her name was Lowan. She then proceeded to spell out the word Mam and when asked if she was a mum, the glass moved to yes. We managed to find out that she was searching for her two-year-old daughter also in spirit but couldn’t find her. She kept moving the glass from the word No to each letter of the alphabet in turn in a fast and aggressive manner, but we couldn’t establish why she was doing this. She kept doing this repeatedly and was unresponsive to our questions. When asked if she was angry, she responded with Yes. We got the impression she didn’t like men as the only man at the table was Jake and she seemed aggressive when he asked any questions. We asked her if she wanted him to leave, to which she responded yes, so he came off the table. Then someone asked if she was happy now and she responded yes, and from that point on she was more cooperative and responsive to questions.
2nd Session

Once again we had eight guests so they were split into two groups, four on the Ouija and four on the table with the writing planchette. My group started on the Ouija and straight away before I had even asked if anyone was there, the glass started moving. We had a very strong female energy who spelled out her name was Nancy. She wouldn’t tell us her age but said that her husband worked at the Fort and she had five children. When asked a question she would start to spell the words and when someone in the group tried to guess what she was spelling before she had finished and got it wrong, she would forcefully push the glass to No, then proceed to spell out the word again from the beginning. We then asked her if she was able to draw a shape if we thought of one in our heads, and she responded yes. So a couple of the guests had a turn at doing this and Nancy drew the correct shape each time.
We then swapped over to the writing planchette and it started moving very fast as soon as we placed our fingers on it. The spirit started drawing the triangle shape which we had previously asked to be drawn on the Ouija. We then established that this was again the spirit of Nancy. She kept continuously moving the planchette very fast in a triangular shape. Then it would stop and she proceeded to lift the planchette up on its side. We then asked if she could lift it up on the other side to which she responded.
Kym’s group on the Ouija had a spirit by the name of Amber Quin, aged 27, who worked at the Fort and claimed to know Paul. She said she was born in 1945 and died in 1973. When asked if she had a message for Paul, she spelled out Hello.
3rd Session

Again we had eight guests and split into two groups. There was no activity at all during this session on the Ouija or writing planchette. However we did get some knocks and bangs in the room as well as coming from down the stairs. We started calling out asking spirit to copy our knocks to which we got responses on a number of occasions. Carl, who was filming, captured a dark shadow moving across from the room to the doorway.

Landguard Fort ghost hunt – 4th October 2014

Tuesday, November 11th, 2014

Landguard Fort ghost hunt 4th October 2014
Felixstowe, Suffolk

Landguard Fort remains one of the Ghost Hunt Events teams’ favourite venues, especially as a fort because it is one of the bigger forts that we investigate with so many rooms that we haven’t fully investigated and we have held events here for three years.

I usually try to hold my sessions in different rooms, for two reasons, one so that I can remember what happened and to who and secondly so that I investigate and see more of the fort.

The first session was held in a Magazine room in the rear of the fort (the front is the seaward side, the entrance is to the rear).

We were joined by Sergeant Robin an Army Sergeant from World War Two era wearing typical Khaki clothing and aged about 25. Throughout the séance that I held here we all heard mumbling (which wasn’t from any of our other groups, as they were too far away) footsteps, doors slamming and banging and the odd voice calling out.

There was some gentle arm movement amongst the guests, but the predominate physical action was that most people felt pushing sensations on the back of their knees.

There was a female spirit present, her name was Jane with a nickname of Janey and she was in her mid-30s.

The second group I chose a different magazine room (magazine rooms are those used to store cartridges and shells used for guns that would be mounted on the upper levels of the fort to fire at ships and planes) but near to the first.

Once again during the séance there was some gentle arm movement but more knocks and door banging. This time we investigated the door bangs but could not find any door that was banging in the wind as all doors were firmly closed and in some cases locked.

The third session was held in another area, away from the possible door bangs. This séance was different as the spirit energy just wanted to touch people with our arms. Although most of this this turned into people being swayed and pushed as they were not expecting to be moved. Many people felt heavy sensations on their shoulders with some people being pulled backwards much to their surprise.

This was an excellent ghost hunt and lots of paranormal activity witnessed and experienced by the guests and we are looking forward to our return visit in November 2014.

Landguard Fort – 4th October 2014 (Kym)

Tuesday, November 11th, 2014

Landguard Fort ghost hunt 4th October 2014
Felixstowe, Suffolk

Area: Guard House with adjoining cell to rear
Equipment: Writing Planchette, KII’s, Ghost Pro’s, Dowsing Rods, Pendulums

Group B – I had been looking forward to coming back to Landguard Fort since our last visit in April. One of my favourite places and I started by showing the guests how to use the rods and pendulums.  Once everyone had established their yes & no’s, we asked spirit who they were.  We had a male soldier, British and over 50.  We asked spirit to point the rods to where he was standing, and three of the four rods all pointed in the same direction.  We did use the Ghost Pro too which was answering questions.  We then moved to the cell and tried the writing planchette, but no movement, however some of us were swaying whilst kneeling on the floor and leaning on the table.  We did hear noises and footsteps near us, and were feeling cold breezes.  With just 10 minutes left we moved to the shower area and spent a little time in there.

Group C – With my next group we started with the rods & pendulums and had a lot of movement.  Most guests had a male spirit, but one person had a female.  The male was again a British Soldier, and had died here in battle.  One guest’s pendulum was rotating continuously in very large circles, and would change direction when asked.  We asked spirit to do this to the rods, and all started rotating, slowly, but kept going all the way round.  Again we asked spirit to point the rods to where he was standing, and they pointed to the same place as previous group.  We moved to the cell but had no movement on the writing planchette, so we took the Ouija table to the bathroom.  Although the glass didn’t move, the table was gently rocking whilst everyone’s fingers were on the glass.  Some guests were being swayed too.  With 10 minutes left we all moved to another room and whilst doing so two guests saw a shadow of someone move across opposite.  They both went to check but no-one there.  We did all go into another room for just a short while, but with no movement on the Ouija stopped for break.

Group A – With the last controlled session we started with the rods & pendulums, and had lots of movement.  We then tried the writing planchette in the cell, and almost immediately it started moving.  We asked spirit to give their initials, and although not too clear we think it was either an S or P for their first name, and a Z for their second.  Then we asked spirit to copy the shape a guest had a drawn on paper (she was not on the planchette and didn’t show anyone).  A triangle was drawn by the planchette, a star was what we had asked for – quite close.  We asked spirit to copy again, this time a Z, but the planchette drew a circle with a square around it.  One guest who had a digital recorder hanging around his neck felt it being pulled.  We then spent the last few minutes back in the main room quietly, asking spirit to affect us, make a noise, etc.  One guest felt he was pushed a couple of times.
In the free session I joined a group of guests in the map room on the ouija table, although there was only small movements with the glass, we were hearing and feeling lots of thuds underneath the table.  Gill (guest) was also feeling taps on her back.  We then did try some table tipping, and got lots of rocking followed by the table tipping up and spinning around.
