Fort Borstal ghost hunt 4th May 2013
Rochester, Kent

Group One:

First session was in the Caponier

As we entered the caponier the guest in the group commented on how spooky the area was with the remains of the smoke from earlier in the day. We started of with handing out K2 and Ghost Pro’s and CH explained how each bit of kit worked and what the guests need to look out for.

After the kit briefing, Jo started the session with a seance circle to build the energy. Almost straight away guest start to feel movement in the hands and arms. As the seance continued the movement became more pronounced and a number of guest arms started to move up and backwards. Carl was moving around the circle taking MEL Meter readers and he noticed that there was some high spikes and temp spikes around a couple of the male guests (Spikes of 8.7 and 10.8 mgs and at one point the temp dropped my a couple of degrees.) As the seance continued the arm movement carried on getting stronger and at one stage the same male guest was pushed to the floor. Jo asked the guest if he needed assistance and he refused.  He was asked  if he wanted to be be put in the center  of the  circle which he eventually agreed to, Carl assisted with this. helped this guest up and noticed that when he touched the guesst back, his back was very hot and the guest also commented on this. Shortly after this Carl started to fell sick and had to leave  the area and before he could get out of the caponier he was sick on the steps.

Group Two:

We again headed to the caponier and after the kit was handed out and briefed on how it worked. We started the session with a seance circle to build the energy. As in the first session the guests started to have hand and arm movement after Jo asked for spirit to step forward and this movement became more pronounced and one of the male guest commented on how strange he was feeling. Carl took some MEL Meter readers behind the guest and was amazed at the high spikes he got (48.7mgs and over 30c temp, this temp was strange as the room baseline readings was 9c).  Jo and the rest of the group where pushed to the  ground in front of one male guest, as if in worship! At mid way thought this session Jo had said how she was feeling the energy changing and feeling more foreboding. We ended the session with SB7 session with out anything to report.

Group Three:

We again headed to the steps to the Caponier and started the session in the same manor as the previous groups, with a seance circle and again we started to get hand and arm movement straight away and again one of the male guest was pushed to the floor and one of the female guests comment how the atmosphere had taken on a more apprehensive feeling in the room. During the seance Jo felt like she was “punched in the solar plexus”, and was very uncomfortable for a period of time. One  of the guests commented that there was a male energy around us that didn’t like Jo. Jo knows this, as she had on previous events experienced the same energy and it was good to see a guest picking up on this and it confirms her previous experiences in the room. At this stage we dropped hands as the guest wanted to try an table tipping session. The whole of the group sit in circle every Friday night so they are spirituality aware. Shortly after starting the session the table started to move quickly around the room and the guest struggled to keep up with it. This table tipping session was one of the most interesting and active session we have ever witnessed and as the session ended, Jo and Carl and a number of guest witness the table moving on it own.

Fort Borstal ghost hunt 4th May 2013
Rochester, Kent

My area was the Old Officers Mess for the night, and of we went with my first group.  We started with Ghost Pro’s and two different spirit energies stepped forward to communicate with us.  The guests wanted to try the Ouija table which gave us some slight movement on the glass, and trying table tipping had some slight movement/vibrations.  However many different noises were heard: taps on wall and metal, the sound of chains rattling (although on checking after the owner had been outside moving the gate), however one noise sounded like one of the chairs in the corridor moving across the floor.

Returning with my second group, as we all stood in the corridor we all heard a female sigh.  Checking with each other none of us had made this sound.  And whilst we were standing in one of the rooms, Marc (team) & friend joined us and said he could smell perfume as he walked down the corridor, but as he entered the room where we all were, he couldn’t smell it no more.  The guests wanted to try the Ouija table straight away, and as they all put their fingers on the glass it started moving immediately.  We established the spirit that was with us was Sergeant Tony, age 48, passed in 1868.  We asked if there were other spirits with him, he said yes – 8.  Then the table started rocking gently, so we took this as Tony’s request to do some table tipping.  On removing the glass, the table started rocking more, giving the guests some amazing proof of what the spirits are capable of doing.  After plenty of table movement, it suddenly stopped and we all felt Tony had left us, however the table started moving again, and the guests thought a female spirit had joined us.  By asking the spirit to tip the table one way for “yes” and another way for “no”, we found out the spirit was female, and not happy.  Her name was Daisy, and was abused by men.  She needed our help passing over.  We then did a séance circle and helped her pass to the light.  The guests then wanted to try table tipping again, and the table started moving again.  Again with the table tipping yes and no, we found out we had a male spirit, called Simon in his 20’s.  One of the guests who is sensitive sensed he was very fit, athletic and muscular, tall, protective towards women, and a nice man.  He was able to move the table in many different ways, often spinning on one leg, and at one time sending Chris (guest) to the floor.

I returned with my third group and after a short wander around with kit, the guests wanted to do the Ouija table.  The glass started moving and we established the spirit with us was French, age 36 from 1945.  He had a sweetheart and two children, who he still visits in France now.  When we asked his name he gave us a mixture of letters and numbers, which when asked he confirmed was his rank number.  Whilst I was standing watching the guests on the table, I looked to my left and jumped when I saw the spirit.  Approximately 6’ tall, wearing a dark grey uniform.  When we asked spirit if I had just seen him, and the details he answered yes.  We then removed the glass and asked spirit to move the table.  The table kept rocking gently, and when we asked spirit to lift the table up on one side, the metal legs would creak and then the table would lift.  This happened a few times, and always when we asked.

At this point the controlled sessions were almost finished and the guests had the opportunity to choose where to go.  They chose to try the Ouija board to see if any spirits were still there.  The glass started moving and started spelling “KILL” continuously.  At this point we knew we need to stop, so after putting a stronger protection around us all, we asked the spirit to move the glass to the middle of the table and stop, of which he did and we removed our fingers from the glass.  We returned to base with the intention of asking Steve (medium) to come back with us, however his guide had just informed him of the spirit that was with us.  His name was Micky, was a bad energy, had a huge sword and wanted to recreate something; we weren’t brave enough to ask what that was.  Steve’s guide went off to send the spirit on his way….

A great night !!!

Fort Borstal – 1st March 2013
Rochester, Kent

My area for the night was the Officers Mess, and for my first group after an initial wander around with kit we started a séance circle.  Although no movement we may have caught an orb on camera and did hear a whistle.  We tried table tipping as the guests were a little apprehensive with using a Ouija board but had no movement.  We tried the Ouija board but only had slight movement, however we did hear one heavy footstep in the corridor.  The Mel meter had a spike of 4.5 and the temperature dropped by 2 degree Celsius.

After the second group had wandered around the area with kit, we did a séance circle.  Some of the guests felt they were being pushed down on their shoulders.  We heard one tap on wood, I asked if that was spirit could they do two taps, we then heard two taps on metal.  Then we heard footsteps approaching but were all relieved to see the owner Mick walking into the room.  We then split into two smaller groups and I took five girls into the room next door as they had picked up on a female spirit earlier there, and the remaining guests stayed trying the Ouija table.  We started a séance circle and the guests felt the female spirit was called Joanna and had been abused in this room by her male superior.  However, two of the guests heard a very loud breath between them, being unnerved by this they felt they didn’t want to stay any longer so we stopped.  We did get the following words on the Spirit Box; Hello – Paul (guest name) – No (in answer to a question) – Thank you.

To my third group I said to them “it had been a bit quiet down here all evening, and I hoped they would liven things up” – well we certainly got that!!  We started with table tipping, although we had movement it never progressed any further than gentle rocking.  We then did a séance circle in the corridor.  Guests arms started to move up, down and across, with eventually everyone having movement.  All our arms would go up together at the same time, then all our fists met in the middle, all touching each other.  Some guests were pulled down to the floor, I felt a hand on my lower back pushing me forward, then myself and some of the guests were pushed up against the wall unable to move.  Jo (guest) was pushed against the wall for some time, we asked spirit to let her go which he did.  Whilst staying in a circle we got pulled into a room then back out again.  However when one of the guests hands got pulled to the floor and couldn’t move them up, the person next to her trying to pull her hand off the ground too, the circle unfortunately got broken, and that guest started feeling very sick.  We promptly left the area and after some much needed spirit healing, the guest was able to feel much better.  I guess a reminder to us all, never break the circle.

However, a great night and one to remember.

Fort Borstal ghost hunt – 29-3-2013

Fort Borstal ghost hunt 29th March 2013
Rochester, Kent

Every time we return to Fort Borstal the event gets more interesting, more stuff happens to more people, this time around was no different, although this time the activity that happened wasn’t pleasant.

I usually hold my sessions in the counterscarp galleries because just getting there is a physical challenge in itself, 232 steps to be precise, but to me it is a really interesting area where paranormal occurrences are normal.

The first session there was a male spirit present called Capt Daniel Bedford, he is a spirit who I have often seen in the counterscarp galleries. He is a tall slim built First World War soldier who carries a crop and undoubtedly would have used this as part of his command style. The resulting séance started with people feeling a tingling sensation in their hands and arms, which progressed to their arms actually moving (which is what I asked for amongst other phenomena). After the majority of people felt their arms move, Daniel became braver with his actions and many people saw their own hands being rubbed across the chins of other guests and themselves. These actions also increased along with the phenomena of being pushed and pulled backwards which to some guests was unnerving as they had no idea when this would affect them. Many times various different people’s arms would fly across to hit Ross (guest) in the face, but fortunately every time he was able to duck and dive out of the way as I could feel or know when a lunge was coming. Cold spots were also felt by the guests, which in this particular fort is unusual because all the exterior holes are sealed and the weather outside has no impact on the conditions felt inside.

There was also another male spirit energy present, his name was David and he was a convict, he approached us with caution and did not interact although he did speak to me briefly. He was a Cockney and of a stocky build.

The second session that I undertook in the counterscarp galleries more or less started how the first finished. The same spirit energies were present and the séance started with arm movements almost immediately interspersed with pushing and pulling sensations, twisting and turning people into odd positions and dragging them downwards on to the floor. Once again many people felt cold spots and breezes which are unusual. Many people arms were moved in such a way that it looked like they were trying to be strangled by other people’s arms. Other guests were moved and pushed towards the wall. Several attempts were made to lunge at people, although once again I could feel it coming 1 or 2 seconds before the action took place and could warn whichever guest the action was intended for. However there was a moment when my attention was gravitated towards another young male spirit who should not have been there and needed help. He was a young (17 years old) male who passed away during a relatively recent (1997) motorcycle crash on a road not far from the Fort and whilst I was engaged with him and trying to help him a lunge of people’s arms hit one of my team members in the face (Kym) and then the second lunge which was more like a punch hit a guest in the shoulder.

During the séance Matt (guest) saw light orbs and another guest felt very aggressive, as I have met this guest on several of our ghost hunts I knew that this was not in his nature and I called an immediate end to the séance. The guest that felt aggressive asked me to come over to him as he “wasn’t feeling right” and I gave him some emergency healing to take away the aggression. As everyone was recovering from the active séance we could all hear a strange mumbling noise which included the sound of whistles and whispering. The whispering sound seem to come from further along the tunnel in the direction of the other counterscarp gallery.

When I asked whether the guests would like to walk down to those galleries some guests didn’t want to venture down there on their own! So we all went down to that area, although nothing was seen or heard once we arrived.

After these sessions the guests were allowed to wander freely, some but not many wanted to go back to the counterscarps and I joined a group in the Officer’s Mess area. Various spirits were encountered in this area, the majority looked to be female Nurses or Second World War clerks. Carl (GHE team member) who was sitting in a chair noticed that the chair was swaying and moving which he found odd although his instruments detected high levels of EMF and huge temperature fluctuations which coincided with the chair moving.

This was a very enjoyable ghost hunt where the majority of guests had a very unusual night and many paranormal occurrences. This was one of our more memorable ghost hunts at this location and everybody thoroughly enjoyed the experience, even those who were pushed to the floor or lunged at.

Several EVP’s (Electronic voice phenomena a.k.a. ghost voice) experiments were undertaken by the team but we have not had any confirmation from our experts of actual ghost voices.

Fort Borstal ghost hunt – 1-3-2013

Fort Borstal ghost hunt 1st March 2013
Rochester, Kent

Once again the team were just as excited as the guests to return to Fort Borstal for the first of our visits to this magnificent fort in March, it was also the first of four Forts for the month of March.

This was our third visit this year and one thing that we have started to notice is that activity here happens to people in small groups of four or five people, any more than that and the activity is lessened.

As usual my area for the night was the counterscarp galleries since the majority of the team don’t like the staircase (200+ steps)

The first group we started in the left hand side of the galleries and almost immediately there were high levels of KII activity as well as some electronic communication. Various spirits were present including a couple of sergeants from The Second World War, a lady and a child.

Some guests felt touches on their legs and there was a strange breeze in the tunnels which was very unusual because there are no holes or gaps to the outside and once the door is closed (which it was) there should be no airflow within the complex.

Many guests and I also heard strange mumbling sounds and many guests were extremely jumpy in the dark, so much so that they didn’t want to do a séance, as that would have meant standing in the dark.

The second group to this area we started a séance almost immediately as I could see that the spirit were eager to show the guests what they could do. The spirit was called Captain Daniel, he looked to be a First World War soldier but he didn’t actually tell me.

Initially this started with lots of arm movement which then slowly progressed onto people hands being pushed into other people and poking them in the stomach. From this point as the spirit got more used to moving people he started to push people forwards and pull them backwards. Darren (guest) who was standing to my left felt that he was being held in place, as if someone was stood behind him, stopping him from moving. Darren felt this as well and kept looking behind him during the séance.

At the end of this session I held an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena a.k.a. ghost voice) experiment. There were many responses but the experts (independent Sound Engineers) and I couldn’t agree on the words being spoken, some of this was due to noise of the guests shuffling their feet or putting their hands in their pockets during the recording. The best one from this session can be heard at:-

http://youtu.be/HDePzen8ZF0

After this experiment I let the guests wander throughout all the galleries with some of our electronic equipment. High levels of EMF energy (Electromagnetic Fields) were picked up on our KII meters as well as some levels of electronic communication.

The third group to the counterscarp galleries had the most activity, as we went straight into a séance and the same spirit (Captain Daniel) was present and eager to demonstrate his presence to the guests. Arm movement started immediately and progressed around the circle until just about everyone had their arms moved and then Daniel moved onto pushing guests forwards and pulling them back as well as swaying them from side to side. Some guests were pulled by their hands to the ground. When asking for certain people to be moved (pushed or pulled) this usually happened on command until the majority of guests had been manipulated in some way.

At the end of this session I held another EVP experiment, once again there were lots of responses but there was too much background noise (from people) that hampered the technical analysis, however the best ones can be heard at:-

http://youtu.be/DMDCz0vxbpU

http://youtu.be/doino0rTRKA

Once again the guests were free to wander throughout the rest of galleries.

The rest of the night the guests were allowed to wander freely around the Fort to visit areas or activities they enjoyed the first time around with our equipment and to hold their own ghost hunt or do a solo vigil.

Once again the guests thoroughly enjoyed their ghost hunt with us and many had some very unusual paranormal experiences.

Fort Borstal private ghost hunt – 2-2-2013

Thursday, February 28th, 2013

Fort Borstal private ghost hunt 2nd February 2013
Rochester, Kent

This was a special ghost hunt for a Hen party as they wanted something scarier than a hotel, they couldn’t have picked a better location as the very nature of this Fort is meant to be hidden and the owners maintain that.

The best evidence to be had at this location is when there are very few people in a particular part, but because this group wanted to stay together (to start with) we all headed off to the old Officer’s Mess area.

After we gave the majority of the guests some of our kit to enable them to detect the spirit energies that were present, whilst I and Carl (a colleague) filmed them we noticed that any small amount of noise made the guests a bit jumpy, bearing in mind of course that we were in virtual darkness.

There were some extremely high levels of EMF detected and shown on our KII meters and the ghost communicator devices were also busy during this time. Many of the guests were asking the usual types of questions although several times someone asked whether the spirits would like us to leave and every time the answer was “Yes”.

Other guests felt some light touches and lights were seen in the room and after a while once everyone had got used to the dark I decided to hold a séance. The spirit energies that were present; two prisoners Timothy & Jeremy from the 1880s were able to move some people’s arms and also gently push some people, not to the point of falling over, but enough for them to know that it wasn’t them losing their balance.

After a short break the guests all went off with the other two members of my team; Marc & Jo to use Ouija boards and to do some table tilting whilst Carl & myself went off to a separate area to do some EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena a.k.a. ghost voice) experiments and to test some new hearing enhancement kit.

Once the guests came back from this session we then let them decide what they wanted to do & where they wanted to go. Most of the guests wanted to go to the counterscarp galleries as this was the only area in which they hadn’t visited during the first two sessions, so the whole group was split into two groups and I took the first group to the galleries.

As soon as we arrived in the area and after the guests wandered throughout the galleries I decided the best way the guests could experience spirit activity was to hold a séance. Captain Daniel Bedford was the spirit energy that was keen to demonstrate his abilities. He was about 6’3” in his late 20s and of a slim build. He seemed to be a very strict man and angry that he had passed away during the First World War, he considered himself too young.

Throughout the séance Daniel was able to manipulate the guests’ arms as well as push them forward and pull them backwards. He was also able to twist people and pull them down onto the floor. Some guests tried to resist this movement but the spirit energy was far greater than their strength and eventually all guests were moved, some pinned against a wall.

At the end of this séance I conducted an EVP experiment the best results can be heard at:-
http://youtu.be/prEBSLiGhzo
http://youtu.be/4oqhNyUcmXg
http://youtu.be/5fdvZiJM_nQ

The second group to this area were also treated to some unusual arm movement by Daniel although this time and with these guests many felt pains in their knees and this was before any pushing and pulling had started. Many guests in this group were also swayed and twisted and eventually the same types of movements were felt by this group as well and even though there were more people in this group than the first once again many people were pushing against a wall, resisting the force turned out to be futile as the spirit energy just wanted us against a wall, once we were moved to the wall the pressure felt in peoples arms and legs just dissipated away.

Once again a very enjoyable ghost hunt and one which everyone present are unlikely to forget as this was one of the most physical ghost hunts at Fort Borstal that we have undertaken.

Fort Borstal ghost hunt – 12-1-2013

Thursday, January 24th, 2013

Fort Borstal ghost hunt 12th January 2013

Rochester, Kent

As with any of the Forts that we investigate, we always look forward to each event as paranormal activity usually happens in a surprising manner and since Fort Borstal is relatively new to us (our first event was October 2012) we are still looking for the “gems” of the Fort.

As usual I took the area that few of my team wanted to go to, mainly due to the wonderful [sic] staircase, all 200 steps of it!

The first group started in the left-hand counterscarp gallery and we were joined by a prisoner who was in his early 20s, six foot tall and had a very stocky build. This spirit who didn’t give his name was however very happy to talk to the guests via our electronic equipment, although he told me that he was at the Fort in 1885, which meant that it is likely that he was one of the prisoners who built the Fort. He also answered questions posed by the guests and one of the questions was whether he was stuck here, to which he answered “Yes”. I asked if he wanted to leave and needed help to do so, but he did not confirm, in fact he seemed to be undecided on this.

During the séance this spirit energy was able to move some of the guests arms and also gently push the guests. The arm movements however were limited to just one half of the circle. There was also a female spirit energy present although she was watching us and didn’t want to talk to anyone.

Throughout the whole session there were high levels of EMF (Electromagnetic Fields) as shown on our KII meters and high level of electronic communication. Many guests also felt cold spots and drafts, even though this is a sealed space with the only access to the outside from the entrance that we had walked down and once the door is closed no sounds or air movement should affect us.

The second group to the same area felt the presence of the same prisoner energy and another male spirit who also didn’t want to give his name. Once again during the séance there was some minor arm movement and several guests including me felt items of clothing being touched or moved. One guest said that she felt a “proper” poke in her back.

Due to the fact that the level of activity was low, the group spilt up with half of the guests venturing down to the other end which is also another counterscarp gallery which looks out over the other side of the dry moat. They held a séance here as well and also had some light arm movement, but one guest felt some touches by spirit on his arm which scared him and the séance circle was broken.

After these two controlled sessions, like the majority of our ghost hunts, we then let the guests roam and go to whichever area they would like to do their own ghost hunting. Many of the guests opted for The Officer’s Mess area, as this area was not used during the controlled sessions.

Four guests however asked me if I would join them back in the counterscarp galleries as they wanted to get a similar level of activity they experienced the first time. On enetering the area for the third time I noticed that the atmosphere felt different, a good different. After the guests wandered around the right-hand side gallery and made their way to the left-hand, I set up my laser grid in one of the tunnels and although nothing interesting was seen, it did allow me to take some interesting photos. I then joined the group and suggested that we hold a séance as I could see spirit energies wanting to “play”.

As soon as we started the séance a male spirit energy called David joined us, he was a high ranking Officer in the British Army from the Second World War era and he had 3 pips on his shoulder, which I have since found out means that he was a Captain. He was in his 50s and about 5’8” in height. He sported a full beard which was “Salt & Pepper” in colour and he wore round rimmed spectacles. David was very polite but also very stern, but when I asked whether he would move the guests he immediately said to be “Fine” and then everyone felt their arms being moved along with lots of swaying and pushing, followed by lots of twisting sensations and people being pushed into other people.

Scott (guest) was also able to ask questions in his head and use us as pendulums for yes and no answers, all of which were answered correctly according to Scott.

At the end of this session I held an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena a.k.a. ghost voice) experiment and played it back immediately as I thought I heard some answers to the questions posed by guests, however the biggest surprise was the question that I asked, everyone could hear the answer when the recording was playing, without any enhancement, which is quite rare.

The EVP can be heard at http://youtu.be/RpVS3t_x6LE

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the ghost hunt with many people getting their own paranormal experiences, many guests experienced the most activity when they were in small groups of just 4-5 people.

Fort Borstal – 12-1-2013

FORT BORSTAL GHOST HUNT 12th January 2013

I was with Steve most of the night but a couple of highlights for me were; during our second session in the casement galleries I went with some guests to the opposite end to Steve and three guests.  We held a séance circle and initially most of the guests felt like they were being swayed, like on a boat.  Then some guests had some gentle arm movement, to their amazement.  All were enjoying the feeling, until one guest felt like a hand around his wrist.  This unnerved him somewhat and after calming down we realised our session had ended.

After our two controlled sessions I took a group of guests to the Officers Mess.  We tried table tipping but unfortunately only heard the odd taps under the table, however we did hear heavy footsteps in the corridor.  Helen (team) who was filming went to investigate but it stopped.  When she came back into the room we would hear them again.  We then decided to try a séance circle in the corridor, this was very enjoyable as all the guests had some gentle arm movement.  The guests would ask in their head for spirit to move their arms a particular way, and to their surprise they got what they asked.

I then went with a group of guests to the Caponier.  As we went in a group of guests were just finishing talking to spirit on the Ouija table, however when we tried only slight movement on the glass was felt.  But to our amazement we heard a stone thrown on to the ground next to us.  We looked for the stone and found one in a small gulley.  Just when we resumed with the Ouija table we heard another stone fall to the ground.  Again when looking saw a white stone next to the first one, and we knew that one had not been there before.  Then whilst trying the Ouija table again we heard a third stone being thrown onto the wet concrete, however after much searching could not find it.  Here is a photo of the two stones.

Fort Borstal ghost hunt – 20-10-2012

Wednesday, January 16th, 2013

FORT BORSTAL 20th October 2012

The team were all very excited to have the opportunity to investigate this venue for the first ever time, and we were not disappointed.

Carl was with me in the Officers Mess all night, and with our first group of guests we had a lot of communication with our Ghost Pro Meters. The spirit that was with us was a prisoner from the prison opposite aged between 20 and 30 years.  He passed over within the last 50 years.  He had murdered someone but was sorry for what he had done.  Later the name Jim came through on the P-SB7 and Jim confirmed that was his name.  We also had a German Airman come through on the Ghost Pro.

The second session brought through the same two spirits, and guests were feeling unexplained touches.  Carl had the taste of blood and had to leave the area.

At the start of the third session we had excessive KII activity and extreme coldness.  We held a seance circle, and immediately guests were being moved in many different directions, with their arms being stretched to the ceiling then down to the floor.  Team and guests were asking out loud and in their heads where to move people and spirit were obliging.

The final session of the night guests were given the opportunity to choose where to go.  I stayed in the base room with some guests.  We tried communicating with spirit using the ouija board but nothing, so used the ghost pro.  We established a young boy was with us, aged under 10 and liked playing here with his friends.  I had the name Ben which he confirmed was correct.  We placed a led ball on the floor encouraging movement but nothing.

Great night ~ can’t wait to return.

Myself & Jo were in the Officers Mess area, and started with a seance circle.  Immediately spirit made themselves known on the Ghost Pro’s and KII’s, by moving guests with gentle swaying and arm movement.  We heard a whistle, and one of the guests reported seeing a white shadow in the corridor.  As the spirit got used to moving us, we all ended up being in very different positions to when we started.  We then tried some glass movement which proved successful, but just as we were starting one of the guests watching had her arm moved up.  We established the spirit of James was present (he had made himself known to us previously) and some of the guests had established the name Greta from a spirit they were communicating with through the Ghost Pro.  Jo stayed in the first room with some guests and continued with a séance circle. A young girl called Emily made herself known, enjoying moving the guests arms, and they had the urge to sing Ring O Roses and Oranges & Lemons.

Group C
Our second group was very large, and we started with 17 persons doing a séance circle.  Many guests were gently swayed, and some had their arms moved.  We then split up into smaller groups, with myself staying with four guests and continuing with a séance circle.  We had gentle arm movement and being pushed.  We heard what sounded like a male burp/growl next to us, and one guest had her hair tugged several times.  Jo assisted a group doing glass movement – they had a female spirit called Sam aged in her thirties.

Group A
Again we started with a séance circle, and had some arm movement and swaying.  We also heard an unexplained noise in the corridor.  We then split into smaller groups, with myself with a group doing glass movement.  We established James was still with us, and seemed to enjoy taking the glass to the edge of the table.  He continued to do this throughout and would also take the glass all around the edge of the table, quite rapidly at items.  The KII and Ghost Pro that were under the table were lit up constantly.  I then took some of the guests back to base while Jo stayed behind with some guests that wanted to try glass movement and table tipping.  Jo & guests had a very active session with table tipping.

Free Session
For the last session I took a group of guests to the Caponier for a ouija board session.  The spirit that came forward said they were called Emily age 9 and needed help to pass over.  However when I got Steve to help, he said the spirit present was a male called Geoff age 79 from 1944, and that he was tricking us.  Geoff also said he was the ‘Emily’ from the earlier séance session.  Just a reminder that spirits like to play tricks on us too. Great night again at Fort Borstal and look forward to returning.
