Fort Horsted ghost hunt 17-3-2012

Fort Horsted ghost hunt – 17th March 2012

As a team we look forward to every visit at the Fort, mainly because every single time something unusual or interesting happens, again we were not disappointed.

Even before the ghost hunt had begun, I was showing the team around the Fort as there were some new areas opened up or cleaned up that we could use, whilst in one of these areas, two team members were with me, one stayed at the bottom of the steps. The three of us heard a whistle, I thought it was Carl (who stayed at the bottom) but when we descended the steps, Carl said he didn’t whistle nor had he heard a whistle.

A couple of weeks earlier I had visited the Fort to shoot some video and exactly the same thing had happened then, in exactly the same area.

Whilst in this area Sean felt someone blow in his ear and as I was showing Sean the entrance to the lighting tunnels I just had to fall over! As I often say to the guests and manager at venues, if anyone is going to fall over or bang their heads it is usually me!

We split the group up into smaller groups and each group headed off to their favourite areas, I volunteered to take all the groups to the double casements, as this involves a strenuous 67 stepped staircase. After the group had looked at the various rooms we started a séance in an area which in the past has proved very popular. A male energy by the name of Marcus stepped forward he gave me the date of 1978 and he was 34, and a mechanic. There was some small amount of movement from Marcus but some of the group were not patient and wanted things to happen instantly. Very little else happened in this session because the same people spent most of the time chatting or making unnecessary noises.

The second group that I took to the same area, had already had a very interesting first session, in this area a male energy called Taylor (which I presume was his surname) stepped forward he was in his late 30s or early 40s. He gave me the year as 1972 and he drove a gold coloured Ford Cortina with a red interior and his love was to accessorise his ‘baby’ (the car). When I asked what he did for a living he seemed very reluctant to divulge this information.

A female energy also joined us, her name was Annie and she was a WWI Nurse or FANY. (First Aid Nursing Yeomanry), she came across as being quite strict and was offended by some of the comments made by a male guest. In fact his EVP question was one of the clearest from the whole night.

Both Taylor and Annie started to move the arms of the guests and one guest felt as if she were being pushed down, as she commented that she felt a heavy weight on her shoulders. As a group we all heard whistling and mumblings, some of the guests saw red lights whilst others saw white lights. Guests also felt strange coldness spots and breezes, which is not unusual for this particular room and toward the end of the session groans and grunting were heard by everyone in the group.

We finished the session with an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) or ghost voice experiment.

The third group to this area had already seen and sampled most of the rest of the fort but once again this particular session (which is probably the most active area within the fort) was just as interesting. We were joined by a WWII soldier called Taff and Timothy, both in their early 20s. Taff was a Welshman with a loud voice and of stocky build, whereas Timothy was from Sunderland, fair skin and ginger and quite shy. There was a third soldier in the background although he never came into this room. There was plenty of movement and guests were pushed by unseen hands, all quite gentle though. We all heard whispering and mumbling again, as if we were hearing the sound of a conversation but not the actual words spoken. There were also some tapping sounds and some rather louder bangs. Some of the tapping noises were in response to me tapping my torch on the railings.

At one point I called out to spirit to make another noise and at that precise moment an owl which I gather was nesting in the moat or on top of the fort called out, which made everyone jump!

The last session we allow the guests to go wherever they wish to and I took a group to casement 10, which was damaged most during the tire fire which lasted for three weeks. This area is also where previous ghost hunts have had experiences with lit candles, because these rooms would have been used to store ammunition, the spirit energies that are present are all too familiar with what happens to open flames near ammunition. Whilst standing with the guests in the left hand room a male energy by the name of Philip made himself known to me. He gave me the year as 1672 (the Fort was not built until 1880) and he kept himself inside the lighting tunnel, almost too afraid to join us. Some of the guests saw shadows in the lighting tunnel as there are four ‘windows’ into the lighting tunnel in this room.

Once again a very eventful ghost hunt and at a location in which the guests thoroughly enjoy mainly because of its lack of modernisation, but that is what is part of its appeal.

Wouldham Burial Mound Ghost Hunt – 1-10-2011

After a strenuous walk uphill we were glad to find the burial ground, this was the weekend of the Indian Summer and it was very pleasant to be able to investigate without a coat in October.

When we arrived it seemed a fairly serene place however after about 20 minutes the mood changed, especially once we sat down. Since we were all looking in the same direction we all felt that from time to time someone was standing or moving behind us and everyone was a little jumpy. It didn’t help that the leaves on the trees were dropping constantly.

We all heard footfalls in the surrounding woodland and mumbling which since it was a still night could not have been sound travelling on the wind. Many strange lights and orbs were captured on cameras and shadows seen in the direction we were facing.

I felt on many occasions spirit touch me, especially when I walked away from the group.

Whilst we were sitting still Graham (guest) felt that his T shirt was being moved and as we all gathered around we all could see it “breathing” like someone tugging on it and then letting go.

During our EVP experiment Debbie (guest) heard a noise in her ear which she described as a “Woo woo” sound much to our amusement! However when Graham asked his question, both he and I shivered. He asked whether it was spirit moving his T shirt.

Our respective EMF metres pulsated with light almost constantly until we walked around the far side of the burial mound and woods. Here the mood changed, as when Scott, Debbie and Graham all walked on this path on their own, they all came back quite quickly as they all heard noises in the woods that unnerved them. So I suggested we all walk that path!

A male energy who was called Frederick stepped forward immediately and even though we weren’t holding hands started to push people to the point that they nearly fell over. Whilst we were standing in this spot both Scott and myself had a pain that just happened without warning in our knees. It felt as if someone had kicked as in the knees, it was very painful.

As we walked around the path back towards the burial mound and onto the mound we all noticed that a particular point of the mound was warmer than the rest. In fact we all walked back and then over the same spot again just to see if it was our imaginations or whether it was actually warmer and we all came to the conclusion that it was warmer, because after about 5 minutes this warmness disappeared. It was a really strange sensation, as I have felt cold spots before but never warm ones when I have been outdoors.

Even though this was a short Ghost Hunt it was a very surprising one, with lots of different activity felt by everyone who was present.

Darnley Mausoleum – Private ghost hunt – 14-10-2011

Darnley Mausoleum Private Ghost Hunt

This is the second time I had held a ghost hunt here and once again it did not disappoint, although it was a reasonably cold evening, but the brisk walking soon warmed everyone up. There are a number of places along the main path towards the mausoleum which are very active.

The first session we held in a spot of high activity on the main path, a male energy by the name of Bradley Cooper-Smith  who was a WWI soldier joined us, although he seemed disinterested in what we were doing, however we were shortly joined by a female energy who gently moved around the circle and raising the arms of most of the guests. Many people had tingling sensations in their arms or shoulders with the exception of one person. During this time there were many an odd noise heard plus we had to contend with cows, which roam freely around this area.

After we had moved on to another location nearer to the mausoleum we passed some cyclists who were probably just as surprised to us as we were of them. However whilst walking one of the guests pointed out some green goo on the back of another of the guests. It looked rather strange as it was a small patch in his lower back. However he bravely touched it and said that it smelt of hair gel. None of the guests used hair gel (and when we returned to the cars, it was not present in the car the guest had arrived in) nor had seen when this goo had been present on the person.

Our second session was near to the mausoleum and spirit activity was slow to start however once a male energy who was a farmer from 1970s joined us this started to pick up. The male energy was dressed in a white and blue checked shirt, brown corduroy trousers and seemed to be quite tall. He also informed me that he had passed away in a farm accident near to this location. People were moved by this energy, pulled back from the group as if the energy was trying to break the circle. There was a lot of arm movement and twisting of peoples arms. Generally everyone sensed the feeling that they were being pushed downwards. Many guests also experienced strange cold spots which would engulf a person and then move to a person elsewhere in the circle. As we were about to leave the area the EMF metre started to pulse through the lights, then unexpectedly it just flashed the orange middle light all on its own. This is not supposed to happen with these EMF detectors.

Our third session was the most interesting, this is also the area where on my previous visit to these woods proved to be very strange and interesting all at the same time.  After asking for spirit to make a noise, we all heard a faint but definite noise, it sounded a reasonable distance away, but it also sounded meaningful. I then asked if we could hear spirit’s footsteps on the ground and sure enough a few moments later we all heard the sound of someone approaching. I asked many more times for spirit to make a noise and every time we heard either an odd cracking noise (like a stick being stood on) or a thud (like something falling). The two girls present could both smell perfume, but no one else could. I then asked spirit to make a loud noise and once again we all heard a very loud noise, it actually sounded very near us and with that just about everyone wanted to leave, but as ever I wanted a little bit more, so I asked one last time for a loud noise and once again I got what I asked for, it sounded rather odd, completely different to all the previous noises, it sounded like the noise you get if you hit a plastic container with a baseball bat only much louder. As soon as we heard this noise we all started making our way out of the woods. Many of the guests we feeling quite scared including some of the men. Those who didn’t quite believe had a different opinion of the spirit world after this ghost hunt.

Once again a very enjoyable ghost hunt and thankfully the weather was decent enough albeit a little cold.

Darnley Mausoleum ghost hunt – 23-9-2011

Darnley Mausoleum woods – 23rd September 2011

After leaving the car park and making our way to the mausoleum, which was a lot further in the dark than I remember when it was daylight!

After various people took photographs of the Mausoleum, some had the ability to capture orbs, I and many other did not. We wondered down a path which proved very active when I came in the day time. Once again we were not disappointed, after asking for spirit to gently push people or raise their arms, several guests had their arms raised including myself (of course). I would like to add that if you do not want to feel spiritual activity and generally you would rather be left alone until you are more comfortable with the idea, then don’t stand near me, as the spirits generally start with me then go on to others.

There was a male energy that was responsible for the arm movement, he also pushed Graham. When I asked Ellen if she was feeling anything on her right side, as the energy was standing near to her, she reported a tingling sensation on that side. I also asked for spirit in general to make some noise, almost immediately so random odd noises were heard by all in the woodland behind us. The sounds were like branches cracking which is possible in a wood, but it wasn’t windy and we did not hear those noises until we started. The EMF metres were also very active.

Our second session was in an area which I found rather odd, as I could smell Bovril (or something similar when I visited in the day time).
Once again spirit activity on the EMF metres was detected in many places along the path and as a Medium I could sense that spirit energy was all around us but generally speaking the spirits we watching us rather than participating with us. Maybe this kind of activity doesn’t take place in these woods and the spirits in question did not trust us? However when I asked for spirit to make a noise almost instantly a loud cracking/falling noise was heard. Again we asked several times and sometimes we heard faint tapping as if someone was hitting a tree with a stick. There was a group of about five of us standing together and every time we asked for spirit to make a noise they did, in fact seven times we asked and seven times we had a response. Some of those noises sounded like something very heavy being dropped yet we saw nothing (to make the noises). However some people saw lights, Debbie even thought she saw a person in a light blue sweatshirt standing further down the path, this startled her at the time!

We also heard many footfalls which sounded like someone was approaching us on the path and yet no one every arrived. Many of the noises occurred just behind a guest which startled them but more importantly every time this happened it sounded like a heavy object and as far as I know branches do not just fall from trees for no reason.

Once again this was an interesting venue and one which we will be investigating again, probably next year as with winter weather approaching and an exposed location it could be a very cold.

Hucking Estate woods ghost hunt – 10-9-2011

The first event here, albeit a private event was a very scary night with lots of activity, we were hoping that this event would be similar. Although a little disappointing that it wasn’t quite so scary it was however very fruitful in terms of evidence captured by guests and team in the form of photos and EVP recordings.

The first session was held in the same place that we had the coin incident from the first investigation (Read the first report http://ghosthuntevents.wordpress.com/2011/07/13/hucking-estate-private-ghost-hunt-8-7-2011/). A male energy by the name of Tomas joined us, he was a woodman and he began by pushing Nicky, Tabitha and myself, making all us feel  like we were on a boat. During this time many footfalls were heard in the surrounding woodland, as if someone were approaching but never arrived. Lights were seen by many guests and the EMF metres recorded a lot of spirit activity. One of the guests (Graham, had his jacket tugged). However only half the group were getting any sensations so we split up into two smaller groups.

After we allowed several minutes for the other group to walk away from us, we held another séance in the same area. Almost immediately we all heard various strange noises and strange lights again were seen, some of these were very bright & although we cannot rule out that it could have been from the other group, the direction of these lights seen were not where they were supposed to have been. A younger male energy joined us, about early 20s about 5’ in height and of a stocky build with short cropped black hair. He was wearing a white/cream granddad shirt and had leather patches on his trousers. Possibly he could have been a Farrier. This energy had no problem in moving many of us and once again Tabitha and myself seemed to be standing on very unstable ground as neither of us had any balance.

After leaving this area we decided to try to walk through the woods to where the other group were, however this proved (like last time) rather difficult as the woodland paths seem to be non-existant at night!

When finally we joined the other group on one of the main pathways of the wood (this is an area which was very active in the day time) a male energy who was called Marcus joined us, he was 37 years old and lived nearby. From here we walked over to where the pond is supposed to be and once again another energy joined us, I however was at the back and left Kym and Graham asking the questions as they were getting responses on their EMF metres. I was concerned with two male energies, one of which was called Edward. What concerned me is that they had followed us from earlier, but would not approach us. This I thought to be weird, as I could easily sense and see them, yet the still would not approach. It was only after a long while, as the majority of the guests had walked on to another spot that the motive of these male energies became apparent.

They were not there for our benefit they were there because they were collecting another spirit energy, someone who near us who shouldn’t have been there, or who have broken a spiritual law. As we (three guests and myself) continued to walk down the path I had the distinct impression that these energies were to collect a spirit energy that had latched onto a guest of mine.

Again when we finally caught up with the rest of the group, after getting slightly lost and disorientated by the trees, the motive of these two energies was very apparent. They were definitely apprehending another spirit energy, whoever this energy was I have no idea, but my spiritual guide turned up for protection.

As we were walking out of the woods towards the car park, my guide informed me that these two male energies had completed their mission.

Once again a very unusual ghost hunt, the EVPs recorded are very clear and many of the photographs contain some very bright and distinctive orbs. All in all an enjoyable ghost hunt. A place we will return to in 2012.

Fort Horsted ghost hunt – 3-9-2011 – lynn

FORT HORSTED – 3rd September 2011
We were all looking forward to the ghost hunt at the Fort, this was our second visit and were hoping on as good as our first visit.

The night was still and warm I took my first group Graeme, Mia, Sarah, Helen, Simon and another Helen into tunnel 10.

We lit some small candles in the room to the right of the mail tunnel as it was pitch black.
We started with séance, the group was very quiet so I started to ask them if they had had any other experiences as we were chatting a male energy called Stanley came in he was about 55-60 years old when he passed. He appeared to be quite tall, and skinny he was wearing a very smart suit and told me he was a clerk, he did not tell me how he had passed, I asked Stanley if he could give us some gentle pushes or pulls to let the guest know he was there, both Graeme and my right arm shot backwards, then forwards. I asked Stanley to go round the circle and do something to the other guests. Mia and one of the Helens reported that their arms were moving,

We decided to go into the main tunnel where we again did a séance I asked Simon to stand next to me as he had never had any evidence, I asked spirit to step forward and a little boy of about 6 or 7 came through, he started swinging our arms then lifted them Simon was very impressed with this, everyone heard footsteps and mumbling. A lady came through who was about 40 years old she was quite butch but would not give me any other information. We broke the circle and we all stood around taking photos and listening out there was still lots of strange noises, I went to use my camera and the batteries had completely drained one of the other guest said their camera had done the same. We made our way back to meet with the other group.

My second group went back to tunnel 10 with me were Carl, Jo, Mark, Bradley, Carrie and Lou.
We started off with a séance circle, again straight away we all heard strange noises no one could work out where they were coming from or what they were. Mark (seasoned Ghost hunter) said he was feeling a tall man around him, we had some arm movement, Carrie was unsure of this and asked spirit not to do it to her, everyone commented on cold blast of air around them, we broke the circle and went out in to the main tunnel everyone felt they did not want to do another séance circle, again lots of footsteps could be heard, but could not work out what direction they were coming from, we went into the room to our left. Carrie at this stage said she felt very sick and had pain in her tummy, I place my hands on her back ant tummy after a few minutes she said it had gone, we all stood around trying to work out where the sounds were coming from, Carl said he saw a face peer around the door, someone else said they saw it as well. Both Mark and myself felt that one of the energy’s around us had taken their own life in this room. We made our way out towards the door, instead of going out to our left we went further down the tunnel to our right, I felt very uncomfortable in this part so did some of the others, Jo said she could hear a noise which we all heard at first we could not work it out, Jo and Carl thought it was running water, Mark then said it sounded more of a roar of fire, we all confirmed that this was what it was, ( I later checked with Paul who said that tunnel 10 was badly affected by the fire, Mark threw a ball and asked spirit to return it to us he also set his EMF meter which went crazy the red light was really going (this is a sign that Spirit is around us), we tried asking question using the EMF with one flash for yes and 2 flashes for no, every time we asked a question spirit went away, we went back to the main tunnel and again set up the EMF which was again staying on red.  Every time we asked the question are you happy spirit just went away. One of the spirits that came through using the EMF meter said he was a French prisoner of war we got the name Joel.
We finished up and made our way back to the main group.

I took my 3rd group back to tunnel 10 the group was made of Graham and Debbie (seasoned Ghost hunters), Carole, Julie, Ellen and Elisa.

We made our way into the room to the left of the main tunnel, it was very dark and the candles had nearly gone out I lit 4 candles 2 at far end of room and 2 opposite the door way,
We held séance circle and asked spirit to come through, again we heard lots of weird noises, footsteps and the strange mumbling, I asked spirit to blow the candles out,
As spirit was not responding to me I asked Graham to call out as the previous group they had responded well to Mark and Carl.

After a while of just feeling uncomfortable we made our way into the other room, again lots of strange noises, an energy came through called Simon He was lost and seemed quite upset I said we would help him to go over, the group were doing their own thing, and everyone noted different temperatures in the room, we went back into the left room and Debbie noted that the candles had moved instead of 2 in each alcove there was 1 in the end and 3 in the other, there was also wax dripped where it appeared to be moved unfortunately we did not have any evidence to prove the place of the candles were, we did take photos after.
Graham threw a penny and asked spirit to return it to him; again we heard mumbling, which appeared to be coming from all around us,

To sum up we had a fantastic evening with all groups getting some evidence, either being moved or by hearing things. Everyone got some form of orbs on their cameras.
Fort Horsted did not let us down.

Fort Horsted ghost hunt – 3-9-2011 – steve

Fort Horsted ghost hunt 3rd September 2011

Fort Horsted is an amazing place, our first event there was a very active location and this time around we were not disappointed either. The group was split into equal sized groups and each group embarked on several very different areas. Each Medium or Paranormal Investigator has written a report.

My group headed for the double casements, this involved a very steep climb down some nasty staircases, nasty because it is very tiring.

After starting a séance circle various energies were present although none seemed to want to be identified, however we heard various footfalls, mumbling, tapping and voices. These noises could not have come from any of the other groups, as we were separated by quite a distance.
Various shadows were seen, whilst I was experimenting with my laser pen Graham thought that Debbie was behind him as he felt a brush against his jacket, but when he looked around no-one was behind him. During this laser pen experiment, which casts a grid of light, many people including me saw some shadows, all the while we were all still hearing footsteps, which sounded like they were approaching, but no-one arrived.

Each session the group of people experienced a different Medium and a different area, so for my 2nd session I headed for the furthest part of the fort, away from everyone. This time around we had some gentle arm movement and pushing, this was attributed to two male energies who enjoyed pushing Graeme and Mia, so much that they were bent over, virtually touching the floor. During this time once again we heard various mumbling sounds (like distant whispering). During the laser pen experiment, once again some interesting photos were taken by the guests, one of which had a very strange person shaped shadow caught within the light. It takes a reasonable amount of technical photographic knowledge to capture the laser light, as a flash will “knock out” the laser light, so the photo has to be taken over several seconds. I too have some odd photos which are still being analysed.

My 3rd session the guests wanted to go to the double casements, which meant heading for those lovely staircases! After everyone had recovered from the intense walking, once again I started by holding a séance, this time another group was in the same area. However more or less instantly Carl started laughing, without any reason whatsoever. (This happened previously in my group when we were in this area at the last investigation in June). Various hot and cold spots were felt by the guests, there were some gentle arm movements and some vigorous movements. One of the male energies that was affecting the guests was called Webb and he was a WWII soldier, quite a gentile character and it was his energy that the guests could feel as hot and cold spots. There was also a female energy present, she seemed very shy, however I have an EVP which she calls out he name (this EVP is still being analysed, however I can only hear Laura as her name, however the experts cannot agree at the moment). Various lights were seen by the guests, mostly behind me.

The 4th Session we allowed the guests to more-or-less go wherever they wanted for about 30mins to either hold their own mini ghost hunt, or to go somewhere with a Medium. Most of the guests at this time decided that they were tired, however I had a group of people who wanted to experience something, so we headed for one of the magazines. This proved a very active area as within seconds of us starting a séance circle we heard approaching footsteps, whispers and groans. There was a male energy present, he seemed to be dressed like a builder and gave me the impression he was from the 1960s. This energy proceeded to push the guests gently forwards and backwards. There was one candle lighting the room and I then asked for spirit to blow it out. As soon as I said that it flickered very vigorously (bearing in mind it hadn’t flickered at all until this point) this continued every time I asked for spirit to blow the candle out, however it was close to be extinguished once or twice, but it never actually went out. However during this time we were still hearing footsteps and at one moment we heard a loud metallic crash, this I thought was someone walking down the corridor, as there are metal gratings covering holes in the floor, however if someone was walking over these gratings the only place they could have ended up was where we were, and no-one arrived. Towards the end of the session we all started to see various lights and then we all thought we saw a bat or something flying in the room. This was too much for one of the girls and she put her torch on, but there was nothing to be found in the area of the room where moments earlier we all heard something flapping. A very strange experience.

Once again everyone enjoyed the Fort Horsted experience, many photographs, EVPs and video footage was recorded on the night and as soon as our evidence has been verified we will publish it on the website.

Bronze Age Barrow – 2nd July 2011

When I came to this location in the day time to research it and to see if it is a suitable location for a ghost hunt it looked like a peaceful place, one where people would come to think or relax. I also know from experience that although a place may seem to be calm and peaceful during the day, by night quite often the place has a completely different atmosphere. This is exactly what happened here.

When I came in the daytime a spirit energy by the name of Frederick stepped forward, the odd thing about him was that he was holding an Orange although he was dressed in clothing from about 1200-1300s. I asked him why and he said “I like oranges”. I asked him where he got the orange, since in those days it was an exotic fruit, he told me that he was a Medway trader and had brought the fruit in via a ship. He also explained that many people lived in settlements near to this funerary monument.

On the night of the ghost hunt and after making our way along the footpath to the woods, (which was a very long path) we arrived at the woodland site. The Bronze Age Barrow is situated in a clearing, but it is surprising in the dark that the clearing was quite hard to find.

After the usual photo taking exercise and EVP recording taken by more than one person we held a séance on the North side of the burial site. Within a few minutes a female energy by the name of Bethany had joined us, she was aged about 22 and had light coloured hair (possibly blonde). Bethany began to make various people unsteady on their feet, including me. Then she proceeded to move the arms of some of the guests and then pushing the people themselves, mainly Laura (guest) and Debbie (guest). During this séance Marc (guest) , Steve (guest), Scott (guest) and I all heard foot falls or footsteps in the woods immediately behind me. Although we couldn’t see anything because it was dark. However Nat (guest), Kym (guest) and Scott all said that they could see shadows moving in the woods behind me because they were facing that direction and their eyes had adjusted to the light levels.

We all heard various noises that we not common to these woods as we had spent 15-20mins at the start of the evening listening and making notes of the noises which the wind made in the trees. The noises we heard sounded more like people shuffling in the undergrowth or whispering and mumbling.

Steve (guest) felt that there was a male energy in the woods behind him, he thought that this energy was Danish or Scandinavian and that he was a trader. Steve also thought that this energy was responsible for the noises heard in that part of the woods and the shadows seen by the other guests. When I decided to break the séance, both Marc and Steve headed for that part of the woods and although the rest could make out their outlines we could not see them. Marc at one point asked what Steve had said to him, but Steve was closer to us than Marc and there is no way Marc could have known that. But Marc received a reply from whoever the spirit was standing beside him!

No audible EVPs were captured. We did capture some EVPs but we cannot clean them up enough to determine what is being said.

As we were leaving the woods, both Marc & Steve were leading the group and had EVP and EMF metres. Bethany had joined them as they were leaving and they were recording her responses. I was at the back of the group taking photos and also doing my own EVP recordings. As it is not uncommon that when leaving an area Spirit follow us out, either to say goodbye or good riddance!

We stopped in the picnic area which was approximately half way to the car park and proceeded to use a Ouija board and conduct another EVP experiment. The spirit that communicated on the Ouija board gave much information although I have not been able to verify any of it.

All in all another successful ghost hunt with the guests experiencing many forms of spirit communications and seeing various unexplainable lights and shadows plus the physical evidence.

Fort Horsted ghost hunt 11-6-2011 Lynn

I took my group to tunnel 11 (the Cave). We decided to go into one of the side rooms as light was still coming through the main tunnel.
We started with a séance circle, straight away a gentlemen came through who gave me his name Ted, he was about 65-70 years old about 6′ tall, silver/grey hair, he appeared to be very smartly dressed in a brown suit with a hat, he was also carrying a briefcase an old brown leather one. I asked what he was doing here he informed he was to do with the war but not a serviceman, (Anne then informed me he was a civil servant) Ted confirmed this to me. It became very dark in the archway the appeared to be 3 soldiers only one gave his name Jeff. I was asking the guests how they were all feeling and everyone felt uncomfortable as it was so dark I asked if the energies around us could give us some proof they were there. Some of the guest arms started to move upwards, Tess at this stage said she did not want this to happen to her, everyone was pleased when this happened. A female called Evelyn popped in to say hello, everyone was getting some physical proof throughout the séance.

After a short break I conducted an EVP recording and went back into the main tunnel. We decided to leave a torch on as it was too dark. As soon as we went into this tunnel I said to Sean “Hey Stu let’s get started” (I am unsure why I said this as I have known Sean for a number of years), as I looked down the tunnel a young spirit lad came walking up he said he was Stu, I asked spirit to give us some proof they were there and again Anne’s arm went up in the air as well as Lee and mine.
Another male energy came in behind me he told me his name was Terry; he was newly passed over and said he wanted help, I asked my guide to come forward to help take him over. There were some strange noises in this part they sounded like footsteps, everyone heard them but we had no idea where they came from.
After a short break of teas and coffees we were ready to tackle our next area. We were going into where Steve’s group had been, and all felt hyped up.
Straight away we lit a candle so we had some form of light we joined hands and started, Tess became a bit agitated and kept trying to pull away from the circle Sean kept a firm grip on her, both of us saw a male energy in the door where we had come from, again I asked sprit to move someone, Richard and Mark were very quiet. There appeared to be lots of soldiers standing against the wall behind Lee and myself and Richard kept shuffling and standing very straight and putting his feet together Richard said he was unaware that he was doing this, we had lots of arm movements, we asked the soldiers to come forward and talk to us, they were very reluctant to do this, we all heard what sounded like running down the tunnel. Mark started with the standing up tall, and being gently swayed, it was all very strange, after another short break I conducted another EVP experiment, everyone was very pleased to leave this area as we all felt on edge.
Our last port of call was with the rest of the group we split into 2 groups but at each end of the tunnel, I was left with just Lee, Mark, Richard and Sean, I can honestly say we did not stay here long as we all felt very uncomfortable nothing happened but we were pleased to leave.
An excellent investigation and one which I look forward to returning to.
