Marwell Hall ghost hunt – 11th April 2015

Marwell Hall ghost hunt 11th April 2015
Winchester, Hampshire

This was our third visit to Marwell Hall and we were hopeful that it would be as active and interesting as our previous visits, as there are certain rooms which similar activity occurs every time we visit.

As always I chose the room upstairs to hold my séances, this is the room the staff don’t like, things happen in this room, it is also the room that the window bar moved on our previous visit.

In this room there were a couple of spirits; the first one I saw was a Footman he was about 5’11” and quite portly for his height, wearing faded navy trousers with leather boots and a dark Navy jacket, he was dressed similarly to the old Royal Mail uniforms. His name was Andrew although he wasn’t a talkative person he was able to move people.

The first group there was some arm movement although by comparison to other groups this was very minor because no-one (apart from me) encouraged the spirit to do anything.

The second group Andrew was able to lift everyone’s arms and twist people’s arm in the centre of the circle. He was also able to push and rock people and in some cases pull the people down to the floor by their arms. Many of the guests felt the pressure that he was able to assert on to their shoulders to force people to move. This pressure was forceful but not malicious in nature. He was also able to pull people backwards, usually quickly and surprisingly which the guests found fun and interesting because it happened so quickly and without warning. The majority of the movements were asked for and the spirit obliged with the requests.

After we finished with the séance as this room became very hot we sat around the table and asked for spirit to make some noises or repeat our knocks on the table. Many times we heard knocks and taps that sounded like they were made from underneath the table (all our hands were flat on top). Many times when everyone heard the knocks from spirit everyone pointed to a different part of the room or the table.

Whilst we were sitting around the table there was a female spirit who seemed to affect one end of the room. She was Victorian in dress but did not give me her name, in fact she didn’t really talk to me, and she just paced around the other end of the room. I stated at the time this was probably because all the men were sitting at the same end and she was affecting the women of the group. Several people felt a coldness like someone breathing on them, however this moved around the table and one person felt a brush across her face whilst another felt a physical touch, a finger or hand poke in the back, which surprised her!

The third group to this room, Andrew made himself know and moved just about everyone’s arms, he also was more able (or willing) to move people. He pushed one person down to the floor in a very embarrassing manner and lifted another person’s left leg a few inches off the floor much to her amazement and surprise. Whilst this was going on other people had their arms raised above their heads and arms and faces stroked, sometimes this was asked for other times not.

Once again after finishing the séance we sat around the table in the hope that we would hear more noises, but alas we didn’t. However the female spirit came through again and affected the same end of the room, with various people feeling cold spots and they too said that it felt like someone breathing a coldness onto them.

After all groups had spent time with all the team members doing different activities in different rooms. We then (as we always do) allow the guests to investigate on their own in any of the areas that they have been and the guests may borrow our ghost hunting equipment and Ouija boards. Many guests had great paranormal experiences on their own or in small groups. One group used our writing planchette and had various letters and names written as well as objects that they asked to be drawn.

Another group upstairs the room that I held the séances managed eventually to get a long table to be moved by spirit.

This was another excellent ghost hunt and we are looking forward to our second visit later in the year.

Fort Horsted ghost hunt – 28-3-2015

Fort Horsted ghost hunt 28th March 2015
Chatham, Kent

Fort Horsted holds a special interest for us as a team as this was one of the first indoor locations that we investigated plus it was also the venue that we joined the US Ghost Adventures crew and filmed with them in 2012.

As usual I picked a room that was furthest away from the base room for all my sessions. All the group sessions in this room we were joined by a spirit called Andrew, he was a Second World War spirit who was tasked to load the shells onto the cartridge and shell lifts.

The first session there was also a female spirit who I have seen before in this room, her name was Annie and she was a nurse, however all the movement was caused by Andrew. He was able to lift and move the majority of people’s arms, twist them but when anyone asked him to move their arms he obliged. He was also able to rock, sway and move people, pulling them down by their arms to the floor, although for once no-one ended up on the floor. (I usually ask for this, but didn’t on this occasion). He also manipulated some people backwards, pushing them beyond the centre of gravity, a bit like moves from “The Matrix” film!

The second group to this room also had their hands lifted but the activity was less than the first group because half the group failed to get involved, we always say in the opening talk if you want stuff to happen you have to get involved, if you stand in silence then nothing will happen and that is exactly what happened with half of the group. Although one guest felt something brush past him, he likened it to a person tugging on his jeans, similar to how a child might.

The third group to this room, probably had some of the most interesting movement out of all the groups. Nearly everyone had their hands lifted and moved, sometimes on command, sometimes not! People were pushed backwards and swayed, rocked and pushed. Several times my hands were pulled to the floor and then “wiped” on the shirt of another guest, much to our amusement. Other times they were lifted as high as the guest could stretch.

After visiting the whistling tunnel where not much happened with any group we went into a room upstairs which is the reverse of the Hanging room, this is a room where the cartridges and shells would have been lifted into and then carried to the guns on the top of the fort. I have visited this room in the past but never for any length of time, but it is weird in here, so I took each group here on our way back to the base room.

We were standing around the room and listening to the wind outside, a spirit called Cecil joined us and he seemed to have a deformed left leg, it looked like a birth defect rather than an injury, he was also a Second World War soldier and he made everyone feel light headed and unsteady on their feet as many people were swaying and rocking. Jason (GHE camera) had to move away from the stairs as it felt he was being pushed towards them.

The second group to this room, myself and another guest felt like our feet were stuck to the floor a bit like the feeling if they were set in concrete. Cecil was in this room although I’m not sure he was responsible for this feeling. Once again some people were swaying although this time no-one felt any sensations of dizziness apart from Jason (GHE camera), who seemed to “Zone out” and when I shook him (as it looked like he was asleep standing up) he seemed disorientated and confused and said that he felt he wasn’t in the room. Later in the evening this happened to another guest who visited this room. I asked several times for Cecil or any other spirit to make a noise, several times we heard knocks in response to what I asked, sometimes the knocks were heard before I finished talking. We will try to confirm these incident from the video that we recorded.

The third group in this room had some odd experiences, one lady couldn’t climb the steps so Jason (GHE camera) stayed with her at the bottom of the staircase. We could hear them talking at times. Once again people generally felt strange in the room and when I asked for noises to be made in the room we didn’t hear anything, then we all heard the sound of someone with heels on walk away, at first we thought it could be the lady with Jason, until someone pointed out that she wasn’t wearing heels or shoes that could make that noise, then we heard chatter. When we left the room and met up with them both, neither of them were wearing shoes that could have made the noise we heard. Unfortunately we will have nothing to back up this claim as Jason had the camera (which was off) and was downstairs at the time and the both of them heard nothing. The chatter also wasn’t them as they had already left to head back to the base room.

After we had held three controlled sessions we left the guests to go off on their own under guidance from us to do their own style ghost hunt or to investigate rooms on their own. During this time we allow the guests to borrow our ghost hunting equipment. We checked up on various groups of people throughout the night, although this was made more difficult because of the time change from GMT to BST!

Many guests went into the room we used for various session and some felt the same sensations that other did. Especially the “Zoning out” sensation and the feet stuck to the floor sensations in the mirror to the hanging room.

All in all this was an excellent ghost hunt with some great guests who thoroughly enjoyed their paranormal experiences at Fort Horsted. We’ll look forward to seeing them again at other venues.

Landguard Fort ghost hunt – 14th March 2015

Wednesday, March 18th, 2015

Landguard Fort ghost hunt 14th March 2015
Felixstowe, Suffolk

It was with sadness that we attended as this event was due to be the last ghost hunt here at the Fort. We have had some amazing things happen to us over the years and this final ghost hunt did not disappoint.

As usual I took one of the old magazine rooms near the entrance to the Fort. Here we met a spirit called Philip who was aged in his early 60’s and dressed as a plumber or boiler repair man. He was able to manipulate people’s arms and push, pull and sway people. This usually happened on command, but sometimes he moved a person by surprise, much to the delight of the guests. All three groups felt this activity.

However the first group also saw strange shadows and lights towards the end of the room, plus some strange noises, the second group another male spirit made most of the women feel sick, one had to be removed from the group as she felt that unwell. The third group had less activity in this room but after the spirit had moved all of the people, he seemed to lose interest.

After holding a séance for about 30 minutes all groups then walked through the tunnels, normally I would stop at the Caponier but because of the cold wind which made this area so much colder than being outside, I walked on to another magazine room which wasn’t windy to see if anything could be experienced by the guests and then walked on to the mine room.

In the magazine rooms (there are several) different groups felt different things, in one room there was a young army spirit, whose job was to wash/change the felt over-clothes (these were used in the days when the magazines rooms contained gun powder, as any spark could blow up the room), we also met a shy female spirit who didn’t wish to interact with the groups, but she seemed to roam the corridors.

In the Mine room, (a room used to assemble sea mines) we met a portly male spirit who didn’t wish to interact with us, although when I pointed out where he stood to various guests, they could all feel a warm sensation.

Often the most interesting activity happens when no-one is expecting it and whilst the table tilting sessions were surprising the best activity happened in the free time session at the end of the night. A group of guests were in the rooms above the break room, (these were once officer’s quarters) using a Ouija board on the floor. The Ouija board was made from wood and couldn’t bend.

The guests were talking to a spirit using the board, but what was strange is that when the planchette was mid-motion and sometimes stationary the actual Ouija board was spinning underneath the planchette, sometimes fast, sometimes slowly. Obviously no-one could be moving the Ouija board as all hands were on the planchette. A few guests filmed this, hopefully we’ll get a copy of the footage because we didn’t do any filming. Strangely the room that this happened to the guests is also the same room that we had doors slam in people’s faces last year.

This was an excellent ghost hunt, we hope that this is not the last, we hope to return some day

Red Lion Hotel ghost hunt – 7th March 2015

Wednesday, March 18th, 2015

Red Lion Hotel ghost hunt 7th March 2015
Colchester, Essex

This was an unplanned event, this was a last minute decision to come to the Red Lion, but since there was a small amount of guests we were hopeful that we would have some interesting episodes.

We normally also film events here, but on this particular event we didn’t and from experience we know that when we don’t film something interesting happens that we wished we filmed!

Both groups to the cellar felt the spirit energies of; Alex, a well-dressed man, a true gent from the 1800’s and Felicity who was a shy Victorian dressed woman.

However the first group experienced lots more arm movement (all on command) as the spirit tried to move each person one by one, their hands lifted and usually hung mid-air. Most people felt cold spots near or beside them and others felt their heads being touched.

A couple of people heard some odd noises and towards the end of the session I and others heard a voice, it sounded like a question and it sounded like it was in the room with us. There is a newsagent shop above this cellar but the normal muffled voices didn’t sound like what I heard, if only we had videoed the session then I would have been able to listen to the volume of the sound!

As we finished the session there was a girl spirit who wanted some help, she was about 7 or 8 years old and she was looking for her nanny. Jason went back in the lower part of the cellar on his own and asked this girl to touch his hand. He felt some odd sensations and something that he described as a dog brushing past him.

Later when we were in the Restaurant doing a Ouija board session we had a boy called Timothy who like to play in this space. He was 6 years old but could not spell nor able to tell us the year he passed.

All in all this was a very enjoyable ghost hunt and some excellent paranormal evidence was witnessed by the guests.

Charlton House ghost hunt 31st January 2015 (Kym)

Tuesday, March 10th, 2015

Charlton House ghost hunt 31st January 2015

Area: Cellar
Equipment: Dowsing Rods, Pendulums, Writing Planchette

Group B – We started by using the dowsing rods & pendulums, and each person had lots of movement from the start, we were also hearing noises near us, but couldn’t ascertain what.  We asked spirit to point the rods to where the spirit was standing and they pointed towards where the noise came from.  We explored the area for short while, and whilst all standing in one area we heard a male breath next to us twice, asking the rods to point where the spirit was standing, they pointed towards where we heard the noise.  We tried the writing planchette and had some gentle movement at first, then the planchette started moving in a very fast circular pattern, changing direction and speed when asked.  The planchette would lift up on the corners too.  We asked spirit to move the planchette to places on the paper to indicate yes & no, and was able to answer a few questions.  He was male and drew the number 8 for his age.  But we felt the energy was too strong for a boy.

Group C – Started with rods & pendulums, and all were moving.  Asking questions we had a male and female spirit.  Rods again all pointed to where we felt the spirit(s) were.  With the writing planchette we had again random circles, and when requesting spirit to show the planchette a yes & no, confirmed a child again.  Were feeling cold touches on our hands when touching the planchette.  We kept hearing noises, similar to someone walking over a metal manhole cover.  In a different part of the cellar there is an air event to outside, unsure what was on the outside though.  However, we did feel the noise came from near us, and there were manhole covers in the cellar.  I walked with one guest to a different part of the cellar and we felt extreme cold next to us, but this was not near the outside vent.  Then after a short while it moved away from both of us.

Group D – Using the rods & pendulums we picked up again on a male & female spirit, and again after a short while all guests went to explore the area.  With the writing planchette the movement was alot more gentle.  We asked spirit to draw the number of guests touching the planchette – it was four – and the number 4 was drawn.  With another guest (not on the table) drawing a shape on paper, we asked spirit to copy it, with the guests touching the planchette not seeing what was drawn.  It was a circle in a square, however only a circle was drawn.  Tried again with a triangle, but planchette just drew lots of random circles, etc.  Guests tried with just touching the planchette with pinkies and it continued drawing all over the paper.  The planchette also kept lifting up many times too.

Group A – Started with rods & pendulums, and again a male & female spirit were with us. Louise (guest) went to sit in a small area that had stairs going to no-where.  She started feeling very sad, wanting to cry.  They were picking up on a male spirit that had raped women.  All went to explore, and two guests came running back as they heard footsteps behind them but no-one there.  Julie (guest) went to check and she heard the footsteps behind her, again no-one there.  We tried the writing planchette and it started moving.  Didn’t receive anything legible, except lots of random writing.

With the controlled sessions finished, all guests and team went to explore the whole building.  Initially I went with some guests and team to the loft, although spirit were present, I felt there were too many people there to get any evidence.  I then went to some upstairs rooms and watched some table tipping.  The table was moving alot, and we asked spirit to take the table back to Jo (team), who had been in that room earlier.  She was downstairs, and although spirit did try to ‘walk’ the table down the stairs, the steps were too slippery so the table ‘walked’ to the lift!  After coming out of the lift, the table was promptly ‘walked’ to Jo!  I then joined some guests in the library, and noticing a chair standing randomly in the middle of the room, I asked if the guests wanted to try ‘moving’ the chair.  We stood and kneeled around the chair and immediately it started rocking, very gently.  With the chair being padded and on a higly polished floor, we all felt it was impossible for anyone to make it happen.  Then we asked spirit to slide the table, and twice it did just that!
Again a fab night at Charlton House – looking forward to the next one!

Red Lion Hotel ghost hunt 13th February 2015

Tuesday, March 10th, 2015

Red Lion Hotel ghost hunt 13th February 2015
Colchester, Essex

Being a Friday night, yes Friday the thirteenth we were hopeful for some great activity, we really wanted the episode with the light bulb to happen again. The light bulb incident happened on a private Hen night ghost hunt in January at the Red Lion Hotel. A group were sitting in the Restaurant to start to use a Ouija board when we all heard a metal “ping” sound and then one of the light bulbs from the chandelier fell and landing on the lap of someone participating in the Ouija board session. What was noteworthy is that the light bulb in question was a bayonet type bulb, which means it has to be pushed down and twisted before it comes out and that the bulb was undamaged and worked perfectly afterwards.

There were less guests than a normal ghost hunt at the Red Lion Hotel so the plan was to hold four sessions with guests.

Both my sessions in the cellar we were joined by a familiar spirit, a drayman, Michael about 57 years old and from a time when the hotel was a very busy place. We were also joined by a shy female spirit energy who did not give her name. She was dressed in Victorian clothing and seemed to be a Lady.

Most of the guests felt their arms being moved on command when we were holding a séance. Some guests also felt cold spots and heard odd noises. On one occasion I asked for spirit to make a noise and immediately we heard a very loud noise, it wasn’t anything paranormal, as it was from the high street, but just happened at the very point that I asked for it. When I asked for the spirit to push or move people, the spirits obliged and several people were pushed, swayed and pulled backwards.

The following two sessions I held tech sessions in room 7. These sessions I used lots of our electronic ghost hunting equipment like KII meters, Ghost Pro meters, a Mel meter and a Spirit Box.

Both sessions we have lots of KII and communication via the Ghost Pro meters, plus fluctuations on the Mel meter, both in terms of electromagnetic energy and temperature.

The first group however everyone’s Christian name was spoken or repeated via the Spirit box, along with many different answers to the questions asked. These answers were immediate; sometimes before the person asking the question had finished asking! With the second group the spirit only spoke one name; Dean and a few answers to questions.

This was a very enjoyable ghost hunt and we look forward to returning over the coming months.

Explosion Museum ghost hunt – 7th February 2015

Sunday, February 22nd, 2015

Explosion Museum ghost hunt 7th February 2015
Gosport, Hampshire

This was our first visit to the Explosion Museum and since I was the only person to have visited before, I was also the only person to know where the better areas to ghost hunt. This site is so huge and instead of using all buildings that we could, I selected three that I thought would reveal the most activity. Since we are visiting a number of times this year, we will use different buildings throughout the year.

All my groups headed towards the Officers Admin building, as this seemed quite interesting when I visited in the day time.

All groups experienced movement in the séances, mostly arm movement and random pushing and pulling sensations but on several occasions there were noises that were not part of the building. Also whilst holding the séances in one of the bigger rooms, people of the groups kept seeing shadows and movements in the corners of their eye that they thought were spirits looking into the room from a long central corridor.

The spirit who visited us in this building were a mixture of shy and dominant. The first spirit was called Adrian and was a Canadian and he was quite entertaining as he was able to push and pull people in any way that he chose, although he didn’t really want to talk to me. There was also a very domineering older spirit who was a Lieutenant Colonel who didn’t really like us in “his” building and a female spirit who was equally quite strict and domineering.

In the first session we heard noises when we were upstairs that sounded like someone had entered the building. (No one was wandering around the site) and then when we were downstairs we heard noises from upstairs which sounded like someone walking around wearing dress shoes. There was also one noise that sounded like a case or heavy bag being dropped.

As we were exploring the building we passed a number of plastic chairs and a couple of arm chairs. These were all uninteresting in general but as we made our way through one part of the building (the oldest incidentally) to the toilet part and then returned through the same rooms, one of the plastic chairs looked as if someone had knocked or pushed it so that it was resting on its rear legs against the wall. Since there were only 5 people in the group and me, everyone said that they didn’t move the chair and it would seem unlikely that this was caused by something environmental.

There was one room downstairs that all three groups felt a similar experience in. It was a “busy” room with lots of oddness about it and this was also the same room and the one next to it with the chairs, but what was even more interesting is that whilst we were in these rooms we heard noises upstairs mostly footsteps, doors slamming (there were no doors that slammed and the majority of rooms didn’t have doors or the hinges were broken on those that did). There also seemed to be a noise of a conversation (two women and a man) in the distance, it was never clear enough to hear the words, but it was loud enough that we could hear it.

This was a very interesting ghost hunt and a venue which we are looking forward to returning to later in the year, hopefully our next visit will be just as interesting.

Fort Borstal ghost hunt – 10th January 2015

Friday, February 20th, 2015

Fort Borstal ghost hunt 10th January 2015
Rochester, Kent

This was the first public event of 2015 and Fort Borstal is a favourite location for many of the Ghost Hunt Events team we were all hoping for a good start to 2015. We were not disappointed.

We were joined by a mixture of familiar spirits and new / unknown spirits but the general theme seemed to be a physical one.

The first group consisted of lots of arm movement and people being pushed and pulled by spirit. Some of the guests heard odd noises and seeing shadows in the entrance to the room we were in. Several people were pushed to the floor, which is not unusual in this room.

The second group received lots more arm movement and pushing by spirit. This time though it was a little different as everyone was being pushed or pulled in a different direction, most people ended up against a wall. Two people who ended up on the floor (usually spirit stop affecting people once they are on the floor) were pushed continuously until they were lying down, which was a little strange.

Noises were also heard during this session which had no explanation.

The third group received some arm movement and pushing but a lot less than the previous two groups. However the people either side of me were pulled down towards the floor but there were little movements elsewhere in the group. This was caused by the group not encouraging the spirit or in some cases not even speaking at all.

The free session which we always hold after we have held our controlled sessions, I joined a group in the same room that I held the séances.

Once again lots of arm movement and pushing and pulling sensations. We were joined by a spirit that I had seen in earlier sessions. He was called Porker (a nickname) about 5’9″ in height, very portly, bald head, but a full beard. He was a prisoner who was conscripted to build the fort. During the séance there were lots of surprising movements, people who were standing firmly one minute, the next pulled to the floor and twisted with other who were already on the floor. Towards the end of that session everyone was pushed or pulled backward until they were against a wall. This is possible in this room because it is not a square room. One person had to be removed/rescued from the séance as she was affected by the spirit and was shaking uncontrollably. Once removed from the séance circle she recovered from these effects.

This was a brilliant start to 2015 with lots of paranormal encounters experienced by the guests. It was also the first night that we had VIP guests. For more info on this see http://www.ghosthuntevents.co.uk/vip.php

There will be a separate report from the VIP guests.

Toys Hill and Weardale Manor – 14th November 2014

Friday, February 20th, 2015

Toys Hill and Weardale Manor ghost hunt 14th November 2014
Toys Hill, nr Westerham, Kent

I don’t often write reports for our outdoor events as normally these are conducted between much larger events, where we have lots to write about. However this event was on par with an indoor event in terms of activity.
We started at the Manor site, lots of communication on our electronic equipment, a brother and sister aged about 7-8 years old running around.

One guests saw a mist rising not too far from where we were standing, it looked similar to smoke, but none of the group smoked. There was some mist in the distance, but it was a still night with virtually no wind.
I could sense Arthur, a Butler near to me, but he didn’t interfere or interact with the group, just watched.

After we moved from the Manor site into the woods, I set up the laser grid and one or two anomalies were seen. Some of the guests felt very uncomfortable, although there was no obvious reason for it apart from being a very still windless night. There was also more communication via the electronic gadgets.

I also turned on my Spirit Box (a device that scans the FM radio bands in reverse at 100ms). I started to ask simple questions like how many men in the group? The answer we heard on the Spirit box was three, which was correct. I then proceeded to ask more questions, each one in turn was answered correctly, even the place name; Toys Hill and November, plus names of the guests.

From this I decided to hold a séance to see if the guests could feel the physical presence of the spirits. It started with some light arm movement and people being pulled backwards. When I asked for a noise we all heard two footfalls from somewhere behind me (we were still all holding hands in the séance), this scared some people, then without any warning we all heard a very loud tree/branch cracking, to say this was unsettling would be an understatement!

Just about everyone was feeling a little jumpy, but I went off to investigate the branch/tree noise as I know the woods very well, but after walking a reasonable distance to where I thought the noise had emanated from, I saw nothing out of the ordinary, no trees or branches on the ground. So I returned to the group, who were all now scared out of their wits.

We left the woods by a different and quicker route than the way we entered, but saw and heard nothing. Back at the manor site, some people continued with the electronic communication but most wanted to leave, so we finished earlier than expected.

The Spirit Box session was one of the best I have ever had at this location, especially as just about everyone had their names spoken, the day, the month and the location and how many of us were present. It was truly brilliant. The noise in the woods was for me equally brilliant as I have never such a sound in this wood before. To top it off this was the last event at this location in 2014, hopefully when we return in 2015 we’ll have something else to report.

Fort Amherst – 13th December 2014 (Kerry)

Thursday, January 8th, 2015

Fort Amherst 13th December 2014
Chatham, Kent

Equipment: Dowsing Rods, Pendulums and Ouija board
Area: Radio Room

1st Session

At the start of the session we used the rods and pendulums and each guest had a turn at using them. We all had lots of movement on these, and guests were getting responses to questions. Kym and one of the guests picked up on a short man called Bob, around 5’6”, with a moustache and short dark hair. Another guest kept feeling cold spots on her, although the room we were in was very warm.
During the Ouija session a spirit came through but we were unable to get any facts from them as the glass kept moving to No for every question we asked! Spirit made it clear they didn’t like us being there. Kym and Nick (guest) heard one of the metal beds in the room rattling. We then started calling out and listening for noises, to which there were two taps on the wall behind me, followed by a tap on the door and the metal urn. Nick wandered to the other end of the room by the door and heard a noise from behind it. At exactly the same time Kym saw a black shadow on the door.

2nd Session

We again started this session with the rods and pendulums and everyone experienced lots of movement and responses. Guests also mentioned feeling cold spots.
A French male spirit came through on the Ouija, who used to work at the Fort. There were several attempts to get his name but this couldn’t be determined, although we established his age as being 44. He seemed to like Gaynor (guest) to ask the questions and would respond better to her than anyone else. Gaynor said she kept being touched on her left shoulder and she sensed that he was near her as she felt cold on that side. We heard a whistle in the room so we asked spirit to copy our whistles to which they responded each time. One of the guests saw a flash at the end of the room by the door and when we asked the spirit via the Ouija if he was by the door, he responded with a Yes. The ghost pro also responded to confirm this. On leaving the room at the end of the session we all heard three successive groans behind us.

3rd Session

Lots of activity once again on the rods and pendulums. During the Ouija session a female spirit called Victoria came through. She was 28, died in 1925 and used to work at the Fort. She was happy to communicate with us and responded well to our questions. We heard two loud taps on one of the metal beds at the other end of the room, and we called out asking spirit to do it again, but they didn’t. I sensed there was someone standing by the door at the end of the room and when I asked if there was a spirit by the door, the glass moved to Yes.

4th Session

Once again people felt cold spots in the room during the rods and pendulums session, despite the room being the warmest in the Fort. A couple of the guests using the rods asked spirit to point them in the direction of where they were standing, and the rods moved round simultaneously to point in the same direction.
Through the Ouija in this session we connected with a male spirit called Nigel who was 27 years old. He said his wife was called Nancy, aged 28 and they had a 4 year old son called Stuart. There was lots of information coming through and we established that they all died from TB in 1907. He said both himself and his wife worked at the Fort, he was a soldier and she was a nurse.
