Oldbury Hill Fort ghost hunt 5th October 2012
nr Sevenoaks, Kent
Oldbury Hill is a strange place, not least because many do not know that once you climb the escarpment you are in the old fort. Our ghost hunt was hampered by the heavy rain, but we do not cancel a ghost hunt due to rain because most of the time the trees will protect us from the rain.
After making my way to a familiar spot a male energy by the name of Peter came forward, he was about 26 years old and his was wearing what I would describe as peasant clothing. Whilst this energy was around many guests felt as if they were being watched. There was plenty of activity of his presence shown on our KII and communication devices with a couple of people reporting that they had seen shadows move further along the path.
On using the spirit box, Peter was able to use the device to say “Hello” and my name.
Unfortunately due to the rain we could not tell whether the noises that we were hearing were normal for the woods or whether these noises were made by spirit. The same was true of call outs and whistles, although there were some odd noises heard nearby. There was no point undertaking an EVP experiment as this too would have been fruitless because of the sound of the rain.
The second spot was on the edge of the fort, were once again there was high levels of KII EMF activity and good communication via our electronic equipment. I decided that this would be a good place to do a séance as the energies here were the sort of spirit that would move people.
During the séance there was a lot of arm movement and spirit were able to push people, sometimes on demand. The spirit that was responsible was called Jeffery and although he didn’t tell me much his was in his late 50s or early 60s and was a playful character who was more than willing to show the guests that he was near us by moving the guests.
I cannot say that this was an enjoyable ghost hunt, but this is solely due to the weather and the amount of walking at this venue is greater than many of our other outdoor events. This ghost hunt at this location will be repeated but not during the winter when the likelihood of bad weather is high.

Bicknor Woods ghost hunt 19th October 2012
After making our way into the woods, which considering it had been raining all day were unsurprisingly very wet. The witty banter of the guests stopped when the majority of the group screamed when a bird flapped through the trees, this made me smile because this happens every time.
I stopped on the path in the first active location, gave the guests some of our electronic equipment and then we waited for about 10 minutes before a male energy approached us. His name was Timothy Tregar and he was 23 years of slim build and had short brown hair. The guests then asked questions which were answered via the electronic equipment and we were able to establish that he was waiting for his wife and that he worked with ships in Chatham. Although he didn’t give me the exact year of his passing he seemed to be from the late 1890s. Whilst the questioning was going on one of the guests exclaimed that they felt a hand touch them on their back which made them all jumpy!
I decided that this would be the best place to hold a séance since Timothy was walking amongst the group and our KII meters were picking this up.
Within a matter of minutes Timothy was able to move the hands of some of the guests, many found this strange and odd as they were not expecting this type of movement. I then asked if Timothy could push or rock the guests. Almost immediately a group of three girls all swayed to their right and as Timothy made his way around the group several people were either pushed or swayed and after a few minutes everyone was being pushed in some way. Many of the guests reported that they felt like they were on a boat. Some of the guests during this time felt woozy or a little nauseous.
After we completed the séance I set up the laser grid and although nothing notable was seen in the grid I did see another male energy approaching us. His name was Jeffery and was approximately 55 years old and of a stocky build, mostly bald and had a full beard. He gave me the impression due to his smart clothing (a three piece black pin stripe suit) that he was a man of importance.
Once again some of the guests felt a touch or as if someone had brushed past them which made the majority (an 18th birthday party group) all huddle together. I then asked for the spirits to make a noise and many noises were heard, some admittedly could have been normal for the woods however there were some exceptions, like a loud whistle which sounded like the sort of whistle someone would do to call a dog. However given that it was about midnight and no one was walking in these woods this too made a few guests jump. Shortly after this some foot falls were heard behind everyone, which also made them jump & scream.
After using my Spirit Box to no avail we moved further down the path. Both Timothy & Jeffery followed us. We stopped at a place where there was much KII activity and once again the two spirits were using our communication device to talk to us. I asked on several occasions for them to make a noise and just about every time a noise was heard very close to where we were standing. One noise sounded like someone standing on a twig and snapping it, but given that the group were very still after all the other noises this once again made the majority scream and run away from the sound!
Strange and heavy foot falls were also heard in this spot along with shuffling noises, all of which made everyone feel very uneasy.
As I was standing towards the back of the group, as I too had heard the noises and was keen to see whether it was related to an animal, although in my opinion the sound was too loud for a rabbit, fox or badger, I noticed two spirit energies come towards us in a hesitant manner they were a shy pair of siblings, roughly about 14-16 years old, the older of the two was called Rachael and her brother was very shy but would not tell me his name. They asked for my help as they were lost so I immediately held a rescue and they were collected by what looked like their Mother.
After all of the noises many of the guests were ready to leave the woods as they had spent the last hour or so being scared. As I turned to them to explain that we were leaving the woods, there was a strange rustling or movement in the immediate area which scared just about everyone as this sounded like someone crashing through the undergrowth towards us, but when torches were pointed in that direction nothing was seen or heard.
Due to the fact that there was the sound of raindrops falling on leaves all of the night and it could have been raining whilst we were in the woods I did not do an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) experiment as the sound of the rain drops would have been all that we would hear and equally because of the rain no photos were taken throughout the night.
This was a very enjoyable ghost hunt and one in which all the guests either heard or felt physical activity.

White Horse Stone ghost hunt 12th October
This location was chosen as part of The Pilgrims Way ghost hunt, but it is too far to walk to do both in one night, therefore after an initial meeting on the A229 and the customary chat with Kent Police (They often seem to come across us on our ghost hunts) we headed into the woods which is one of the shortest outdoor ghost hunts we undertake.
At the Stone several strange noises were heard, although no KII activity was recorded. When moving further up the path and into a spooky looking area there was good communication from our electronic devices and some small amount of activity on our KII meters.
During the séance held in this area a male spirit by the name of Terry came forward his was about 6’ tall and of slim build, about 55 years old and he passed in 1970s. There was another male energy present although he did not give me his name but he looked to be in his early 30s.
Terry was able to give the guests some physical evidence of his presence by moving their arms gently, which surprised them.
After we finished the séance I held an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena a.k.a. ghost voice) experiment, on playing it back some strange noises were heard in the recording, as well as possible ghost voices, the results of which can be heard below.

Whilst the energies were still near us I tried our Spirit Box, scanning the radio frequencies backwards and one of the guests names was clearly heard by everyone, along with my name and the word “Leave”.
Unfortunately after this very little happened mainly due to the heavy rain which we could hear very loudly as it struck the trees, we didn’t get wet, but the noise the rain made, made it difficult to listen for strange noises, of which there were plenty of before the rain came.
After walking back to the Stone to see if any activity would take place here on either the Spirit Box or in the laser grid, the rain intensified and unfortunately the ghost hunt had to be abandoned due to the high levels of water flowing down the path and the noise it made.
This is one area which we will return when the weather improves as it is definitely an active area and paranormal activity could be very high.

Pluckley Screaming Woods ghost hunt 21st September 2012
Pluckley, Kent
It is always a pleasure to investigate Pluckley Woods as the amount of paranormal activity we encounter during the night is always interesting, sometimes scary and usually surprising. This occasion was no different.
As we made our way to my favourite part of the woods, this is a place where so much has happened on past ghost hunts, I noticed that a spirit energy was already following us, much to the surprise of the guests as those at the back felt that they were being watched and followed. The spirit energy that was following us was a Bobbie (Policeman) from late 19th Century.
Once we were where I wanted to be, we gave the guests a collection of our equipment including KII meters and our ghost communication devices so that the guests could interact with the spirit energies present.
There was a male energy aged about 35 who was eager to talk through these devices to the guests and the guests were able to get many answers to why he was with us. After many guests took photographs, some had some unusual mist formations and plenty of orbs. I decided that we should hold a séance to encourage the spirit energies to interact with the guests.
We were joined by a female energy called Lizzie, she was approximately about 40 years old and was able after a while to move the arms of several of the guests, mostly on command. Many of the guests also experienced gentle pushing and swaying and many guest commented that it felt like they were on a boat. During this time many cold spots were felt by the guests and although we were outside, these cold spots were much colder than the ambient air temperature and felt similar to putting a hand inside a freezer.
During this time colleagues of mine stayed outside of the séance circle taking photographs, listening for footfalls and noises and generally monitoring the area. The photograph below is one of the many taken and although it is out of focus it is taken under IR light, which will only illuminate for about 10 feet in complete darkness. The female which is in the distance on the right hand side of the picture should not have been illuminated, not only that but we don’t believe this was one of our guests nor have any explanation of the positioning of the person, since we were standing on a generally flat path. This photo therefore at this time remains anomalous.
Our second stop a little further along the path we set up a laser grid but nothing was seen by anyone in this grid. There were however lots of strange footfall noises which sounded like someone was walking around us, this too is unlikely without the aid of a torch as the woods here are very dense and the ground very uneven. There were lots of periods where there was high levels of EMF energy recorded and shown on our KII meters.
In this area, which has been a very active area in the past I decided that we would hold an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena a.k.a. ghost voice) experiment. Out of the 10 people present who participated there were two good ghost voices recorded. You can hear them at:-

Our third area of investigation is in an area that I like to call the spooky woods, as the trees here are much older and higher and on previous occasions we have had lots of things happen to guests.
Once again a laser grid was set up and some of the guests were seeing strange things within the grid; shadows and other lights mainly. I was standing further along the path and could see a male spirit energy approaching, trying to sneak up on us in a way. His name was Alfred or Alfie to his friends, which was strange because a guest also standing with me was called Alfie. The spirit Alfie was aged roughly in his early 60s and was wearing a British Army uniform from the Second World War era. I asked those guests who were standing with me to put their hands out to see if they could feel a difference when the spirit walked into their hands. Many guests reported that they felt a warm sensation in the middle of their palms and tingling or pins & needle sensation in their fingers. Some guests also felt that their fingers were being separated and stretched.
During this time Alfie (guest) felt his jacket being touched and moved, as he described it being like someone had just brushed part him.
After a while the spirit energy carried on and walked past us. We returned to looking into the laser grid and some guests also walked into the grid to see if it made any difference to their senses apart from the ability not to see where the path was. During this the rest of us could hear footfalls and other noises to the right of us and some whistles and knocks were also heard in this direction.
Once again another successful and active ghost hunt with many gets getting a physical experience from the spirit energies that we encountered throughout the evening.

Wychling Woods ghost hunt, Kent – 8th September 2012
This is usually a very quiet place, especially at night, however there was another ghost hunt group within the vicinity of the church, mostly making a lot of noise and holding Ouija board sessions within the grounds on the churchyard. This is something that we condone.
However we continued into the woods behind the church as we have had a lot of activity in past ghost hunts happen in this area.
Once settled into an area which made people feel on edge at previous ghost hunts we were joined by a female energy by the name of Catherine, aged in her early 20s and passed over in early 1900s.
Plus a male energy called Geoffrey Hardcourt who was 56 years old also from 1900s. He told me that he lived near the church and he looked like a farmer especially because he was wearing mustard coloured trousers, a checked shirt and was of a stocky build.
Whilst we were communicating with these spirits via our electronic equipment we heard the sound of footfalls, this was not the other group because the sound emanated right behind one of the guests (Becky) which made her move very quickly towards the rest of us!
We also heard whistles in response to our whistles and other various noises. We know that it was not the other group as they made so much noise when moving around the woods, we could hear them long before they became aware of us.
Becky also felt something touch her leg which made her jump. Whilst we were standing in a circle, but not holding hands, Geoffrey was able to push people or gently rock them from side to side. Some of the guests were able to smell pipe tobacco.
During a session when I was tapping very lightly on a tree we all heard some tapping sounds in response to these taps.
When Catherine stepped closer to the group I suggested that they hold out their hands to feel Catherine; all the guests felt the same sensation; pins and needles in their hands and a strange stiffness in some of their fingers.
Very briefly a child energy came forward, this child was about 7 or 8 years old and came and stood near to the guests as they were holding out their hands for Catherine to touch.
During all of this we had little or no KII (EMF) activity on our electronic equipment.
Having noticed that the other group had now gone home, because the area was now back to its usual silence we moved from behind the church to a curious part of the woods close to the church which is an archaeological dig site. I have seen this dig site grow from just a few metres long to many metres long and at one stage an ancient wall was uncovered. I have always wondered whether this was the remains of a house.
We were joined by a female energy called Elizabeth who was a Land Girl during the Second World War. There were sporadic yet high levels of KII (EMF) energy in this area as well as quite a lot of communication from our electronic devices.
Some of the guests photographed Orbs and other light anomalies in this area, this is quite common in this area along with strange mist photographs.
Once again a very enjoyable ghost hunt, in which all the guests had some personal physical activity and although the other group made a lot of noise they did not interfere with us nor their actions have any bearing on the evidence and sensations that we encountered throughout the evening.

Pluckley Screaming Woods ghost hunt – 24th August 2012
Given that the rain had been lashing down most of the evening I wasn’t expecting for Pluckley Woods to be busy, it was with various groups of people in the woods, some were camping & drinking and lighting fires, some were doing what we were; ghost hunting.
For whatever reason one group of people thought that they would follow us, however they were not dressed for the occasion and gave up after about 20mins after they had walked through a lot of mud!
I walked to my normal starting point as this is one of the most active areas within Pluckley Woods where we more or less instantly had very high levels of KII activity and high levels of communication via our electronic equipment. We were also joined by a spirit by the name of Jeffery or Jeff who was about 33-34 years old with light brown short hair wearing green coloured trousers and a check shirt. He told me that he was a woodman. The guests were then able to communicate with him via the devices.
The second location, once again there were high levels of KII activity and various guests all thought that they had seen shadows on the path. Given that there were a lot of people in the woods I set up the laser grid so that any movement could be monitored easily. There was also a female spirit energy present, her name was Elizabeth and she was dressed in summer attire possibly from the early 1900s. However she did not want to talk to me.
The third location we held a séance and although some people of the group did not participate, those that did felt the spirit energies in the form of gentle arm movement and some gently pushing. Mark (guest) had to step out of the circle as he felt sick. The spirit energy that was responsible for this was called Marc who was French aged in his early 20s. He was quite a cocky but laid back person who was able to move people quite easily and usually very unexpectedly.
Towards the end of this session we all heard the sound of a cry, although it didn’t sound like an animal. After we finished the séance I held an EVP experiment because we were hearing various noises in the woods, some sounded like footfalls but the majority didn’t.

Toys Hill & Weardale Manor ghost hunt – 17th August 2012
We haven’t had a lot of luck with the weather at this venue in 2012. First time it was -10 degrees Celsius back in February, then in April it was just before a thunderstorm, June it was a thunderstorm so fourth time lucky and this was well worth waiting for.
We started in the remains of the manor, gave the guests lots of our kit to investigate with and let them roam around. Many guests reported seeing shadows and lights within the near distance trees. I generally stayed put and various groups of people reported different activity in all directions, but the one thing they all commented on was the fact that all felt watched.
A male energy by the name of Philip approached, he was a gardener when there was a house at this place, he tipped his hat to me and some of the guests felt his presence.
Steve (guest) felt a light touch on his back and the sound of a dog, panting during the phase when the spirit Philip was around.
Many guests also reported hearing voices, whispering and whistles in one particular place. Four guests (Andy, Wendy, Marie & Shelley) all heard these sounds as well as the sound of a children’s music box. I then went over to the part to have a look and was met by a Frenchman spirit called Alain. He was about 55 years old and dressed in a smart black suit which had a silver pocket watch attached. He gave me the impression he was from 1900s.
The guests that had some of our equipment all had high levels of activity displayed on the various meters.
From here we decided to move into the woods to hold a séance, as the last time this proved very successful but due to the heavy rain it was not as enjoyable as it could have been.
Once again after finding a suitable spot there were high levels of activity shown on our KII meters and on our ghost communicators.
Within a few minutes of us starting a séance a male energy aged in his early 30s approached us, his name was Roger and he was wearing a white shirt and grey trousers and it was impossible to associate him with a period of time, although he wasn’t wearing a tie or hat.
Roger was very capable of moving people in various ways and generally pushed and pulled most of the group, starting gently and then as his confidence grew the level of movement increased and some people, especially Phil and Lisa, were manoeuvred into some rather uncomfortable positions.
Cold spots were also reported by the guests, mainly behind me as the temperature was a steady 20 degrees Celsius most of the night, these cold spots were felt behind four or five people and it felt like stepping into a freezer.
During the séance Andy felt a stick hit his legs and since Carl (GHE Team member) was outside the circle and at the time on the opposite side of Andy went to investigate although Carl could not see a stick anywhere near Andy. After the séance finished Andy found the stick about 14 inches in front of him.
After the séance finished, which I concluded after most people apart from two had either felt arm movement or had been pushed by Roger, some of the guests wandered deeper into the woods as they thought they heard voices and noises whilst the séance was taking place. The rest of the guests made their way out of the woods.
However those that stayed listening in the woods were soon returning because they heard footfalls in the woods and since no torch light was seen, this scared them.
We made our way back to the site of the manor house and conducted an EVP, although when we played the recording back very few anomalies were heard, however once we analysed them we discovered there were quite a few responses, although not all could be interpreted.

Once again a very enjoyable ghost hunt and a very productive one with many paranormal occurrences taking place.
After we had enjoyed a cup of coffee back at the car park and just before we were about to leave, Carl (team member) saw a “shadow” behind me and exclaimed that it looked too real to be a spirit and so the four of us who were there turned on all our torches to try to see what this was. To our amazement there was a young male (real person, wearing a blue shirt, black top and trousers and had glasses with curly black hair) standing very close to the hedge on the way out of the car park and even when I blinded this person with my torch he failed to move, but just looked down to the ground. All of us decided that this was a very good time to leave as he was probably drunk. As we were driving out of the car park we noticed this same person lying down on the grass beside the road which was really strange.

Pilgrims Way Woods ghost hunt – 10th August 2012
The last time that I investigated this particular woods was several months ago and I had forgotten how steep the hill is to get to the woods since there is no easy way to get to these woods from either end. After we made our way up the hill, (which gave everyone more exercise than they were anticipating) and onto the disused road of Pilgrims Way I started to explain what had occurred here before and what sort of things the guests could expect, as we (Ghost Hunt Events) do not intend to scare our customers and what we do isn’t designed to be scary, but nevertheless people might get scared because of the location.
After entering the woods and finding a suitable place to sit against a tree I gave the guests some of our kit (a KII meter and a ghost communicator) to allow them to see when spirit energies were close to them and so that they may ask questions that have a yes or no answer.
A female energy joined us, her name was Charlotte and she was aged in her late 50s or early 60s. It transpired from the questions the guests asked that she was not from Kent and had no children nor married. When I asked whether she was here because we were she answered “Yes”. Which isn’t a great surprise to me as this often happens, spirit not related to the location often visit just to participate in whatever we are doing. When people ask why the most common answer is because they can.
There was also a male energy present, although his name I couldn’t understand but it sounded similar to Frank but could have been Framke which might be Swedish? He was in his late 50s and a stocky build and was a farmer.
The guests also questioned this spirit for some time as well as Charlotte. During the periods of questioning there were high levels of KII activity, as if spirit were walking amongst us.
Some of the guests also took photographs at this time and some had photographed light anomalies or orbs, but nothing more interesting than this.
I tried using my SB7 (a Spirit box – which is a device that scans radio waves at 100ms in reverse, so any voices we hear on this we can be sure that it is not being broadcast.) There were possibly a number of names called out on this device and a possible “Hello” but unfortunately there was a lot of radio stations and the usual static was interspersed with lots of snippets of music.
I decided that we should hold a séance so that all the guests would hopefully feel the spirit energies and be affected in some way. Almost as soon as we started there was a very bright white light flash behind where we were standing, which lit up the woods. It was similar to a very powerful camera flash, although no-one took a photo (as we were all holding hands) and there is nothing nearby that could cause this. This was the only time all evening that we saw this.
A male energy came to join us, his name was Timothy. He was 22 years old wearing modern clothing, possibly from 1970s era. He was of a slim build and had ginger hair and fair skin. As I asked him to push the guests I heard him announce to me (no one else heard it) who he was attempting to move or manipulate.
First he pushed Tia (guest) gently from side to side and then in an anticlockwise circle movement, which Tia found a little odd. Timothy then moved on to Natalie (guest) and she too was pushed from side to side and then in the same anticlockwise pattern. As I could see him move around the group I knew exactly who was likely to be next but thought better of announcing it as it would be a greater surprise to the guest when it happened. Suddenly Dawn (guest) too felt as if she had lost her balance and fell backwards, like someone had bumped into her, which surprised her. Both Tia and Natalie were still be moved when Dawn again felt another jolt backwards.
Tia also was pushed forwards and backwards much to her amazement as she was trying to keep still but Timothy was having none of that!
As we were about to finish the séance we all heard a loud noise quite close to us, it sounded like someone had stood on a twig and it had snapped. Since there was no wind and no animal heard rustling this noise was unexpected and anomalous.
After the séance I conducted an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena a.k.a. ghost voice) experiment, where I asked all the guests to think of a question to ask Timothy, the more personal a question the more likely the spirit will respond.
After the guests asked their respective question I played the recording back and during this I noted that some of the questions had answers, on the second play of the experiment I pointed out where I heard the possible answers and also we all heard a very distinct “Hello” after I said my name to Timothy. Considering there were 6 guests and myself this was a very successful EVP experiment, with only one person not having a response after their question.
This concluded our ghost hunt at Pilgrims Way Woods and this is one ghost hunt which will be repeated in the future mainly to see whether we get as many or similar clarity of EVPs as we don’t often get more than one or two per investigation.
Once again the guests thoroughly enjoyed their ghost hunt and we made the long walk back to the cars but thankfully the walk was all downhill.

Bicknor Church & Woods ghost hunt – 3rd August 2012
Every time we come here for a ghost hunt something different and interesting happens, either in the woods or near the church. This time however we had both.
Around the back of the church (in a field), which on previous occasions has been the scene of some very unusual and paranormal activity, we came across a female energy who would not tell us any personal information, but according to our communication devices we were standing on her grave.
Some unusual noises and whistles were also heard by the guests and the Ghost Hunt Events team.
Also whilst sat here we used the Ovulus and some words were heard in response to guests questions. There was also a very high level of KII activity as if the energy was walking to and fro from the church. Using our SB7 (a spirit box, which scans the radio frequencies in reverse at 100ms) we all heard “Hello” spoken.
Several of the questions asked were recorded for possible ghost voices (EVPs – Electronic Voice Phenomena) and there are some excellent spirit voices recorded. You can hear them at:-

As we were walking away from the car park, Stuart & Donna (guests) heard a sound which made them catch up with the rest of us, Stuart described the sound as being a metallic clanking sound, not like keys, but something heavier.
We then made our way into the woods, which were as usual very quiet with a distinct lack of animal sounds, which makes hearing any noises that much easier. There was also no wind to speak of either.
After setting up a laser grid pointing along the path, many people noticed that some of the lights were being blocked as if someone was walking across the path. Many guests felt unstable on their feet and several complained of swaying which was unusual because the path is generally flat.
Also in this spot there were brief periods of high KII activity. Whilst Carl & Marc (Ghost Hunt Events team members) carried out an EVP experiment, I walked further down the path to find a particular spot which on a previous occasion proved to be a rather active place and one in which many of the guests present felt uncomfortable as well as very high levels of spiritual and ghostly activity.
After walking the guests to the spot that I had just come from we held a séance to try to get the spirit energies that were present to physically move the guests.
We were joined by two energies, one a male energy called Roy who was 67 year old and a local farmer and Francis who was female and about 30 years old.
Gentle arm movement was felt by Wendy, Lloyd, Bradley and Stuart (guests) and when I asked for the energies present to push some guests Andy, me, Lloyd and Bradley all felt some gentle pushing. Several of the guests also noted that they thought they could see shadows moving within the woods.
During the séance and afterwards Andy was being drawn to an area to the right of where we stood, he kept looking in that direction during the séance and after we finished he had the urge to go to that area. When he got there he felt cold (it was a warm night) and also nauseous. Andy then called me over to see if it was just him. It wasn’t. I too did not feel right in this spot and although I cannot describe exactly how I felt, my head did not feel right, like I had just been shaken violently.
At this point Andy had to leave as he was feeling ill, the nausea had got too much. The rest of the group came over and with the communication device we established that this particular spot had been the site of a murder. The energy that was causing all the feelings was a male energy about 14-16 years old and he had been strangled and his body buried in the woods. He did not, or was not able to give a year and the audio recording from this area revealed no voices. Unfortunately the feelings I felt had got the better of my and I too had to leave the area as I was feeling the same sensations that Andy felt. Just before I left the area Donna, Stuart & Wendy all had a metallic taste, which is usually the taste of blood, they too felt the coldness and we all heard voices and footfalls in the direction of the path. But since I had to leave none of them wanted to stay there!
Carl also decided that he would investigate the area, but after a few minutes he too came back and reported that he tasted blood and said that the area did not feel right.
We decided that this was probably a good time to stop the investigation and made our way back to the Church.
Once again a very active and enjoyable ghost hunt with plenty of activity and some very clear EVPs (ghost voices) recorded.

Pluckley Screaming Woods ghost hunt 28th July 2012
It always amazes me how much activity we get at Pluckley Woods, especially because there should be no difference between these woods and any other woods, but for reasons which I don’t understand the spirit energies are always happy to oblige on certain paths within these woods. There are however other pathways which have some truly nasty spirits lurking in them waiting for the casual ghost hunter to wander by and then scare them.
We generally stick to the same route, although with deviations depending on the group and the time allowed and as always we walked to the middle of the woods to start the night. We walk this far so that we do not get disturbed by those casual ghost hunters and teenagers who are out for a laugh.
Within about 10 minutes our KII meters and Ghost Pro devices lit up with spiritual activity, just about everyone had a piece of equipment to hold or watch so that they could “detect” spirit energies around them. Many guests also took photographs, some had some very interesting mist formations, which were not related to the weather because it was generally comfortable in the woods, not cold and it had not rained for several hours. Also many photographed orb and light anomalies on the pathways.
We were joined by a male energy by the name of Philip who was about 22 years old and wore a light coloured shirt and brown trousers, and he seemed a little mentally slow.
I decided that we would hold a séance there to try to get the guests to feel the spirit energies. There was gentle movement felt by some of the guests and some slight pushing. However everyone including me, jumped, or in some cases gripped the hands of whoever they were holding when out of nowhere we all heard an extremely loud noise in the trees about 6’ off the ground. It was almost directly opposite me and about my eye level. At the time I was asking for the spirits to make a noise. We ruled out any animal because nothing in the tree moved, not a single leaf. The only thing moving were the people closest to the noise!
During the séance many guests heard footfalls amongst the trees, although the ground behind where we were standing is quite open and the people who were not in the séance circle did not see anything.
Whistles were also heard in response to our whistles and although the group weren’t feeling too scared no-one ventured very far from the group as the footfalls and the whistles got louder and then stopped.
Our second location there was more communication via our electronic equipment and when we set up the laser grid the atmosphere changed. Many guests heard more footfalls and other noises which I have never heard before.
We didn’t stay long in this location as some of the guests were feeling cold.
Our third location is a place which I would not venture on my own, it doesn’t have a nice atmosphere, it is however one of the highest spiritually active areas of the woods and much evidence (Photos & EVPs) have been recorded here.
On starting the SB7 (A Spirit Box which scans the radio frequencies at 100ms in reverse) many of the guests names were heard along with “Hello” and “Go Away”.
We also set up a laser grid and strange lights were seen in this. Many of the lights were seen quite high up and since the grid was green it did not explain why we were seeing orange lights within this grid.
Many attempts to record a ghost voice were conducted by the team throughout the night and a voice has been recorded which has a Devonshire accent (no guests had this accent) speaking an entire sentence. This is still under review and analysis as we are trying to work out the words spoken, but it is a very similar voice to something that we recorded several months ago.
