Oldbury Hill Fort ghost hunt 28th June 2013

This location we don’t often investigate, because the walk to get to the site is a very hard and strenuous uphill climb that takes the best part of 20 mins. However it is usually worth the effort as this was one of the first places that we had success using our laser grids outdoors and all guests saw something they could not explain.

The first session I stopped at a crossroad called five ways and after handing out some of our electronic equipment and explaining its use, the communication devices started to pick up on spirit energies and electronic communication commenced. No KII (EMF) energy was detected at this time.

However lots of guests and me saw shadows and lights within the woods that could not be explained as well as hearing voices and whispers which sounded very close to us.

We were joined by a spirit energy called Michael who was in his early 20s and was interested in Millie (guest) and made his presence known to her. There was also a male teenager spirit energy around us who was with his sister called Jessica, although they did not interact with us, just watched. There was also an old gent in his 70s that seemed to be approaching us, but he never arrived.

Many guests took photos and most had some pictures of orbs and light anomalies.

We moved from here on to another cross road and I set up the laser grid. We didn’t see anything anomalous in the laser grid, although when we stood within the light many guests commented that it felt like someone was watching us from the edge of the wood.

Whilst standing within the lights I saw a male spirit energy called Christopher, aged in his late 30s or early 40s who seemed to be interested in us and I asked for him to touch the guests. After we held out our hands he was able to touch some people’s hands and the guests felt that someone was holding their hand, some also felt tingling sensations, heat and a physical touch. Christopher told me that he had committed suicide after his son died in the 1830s. Some guests felt the child energy.

Other guests that were not standing with the majority of us saw shadows of people moving within the woods and voices that seem to draw them further away from us.

While still on this path I decided to conduct a séance to try to get the spirit to move or touch those guests which hadn’t felt anything. After asking for spirit to move us in some way, our arms were moved gently as well as various forms of pulling sensations, sometimes across the group and sometimes downwards. Sue (guest) said that she could taste a metallic taste, this is usually what blood tastes like. Debbie (guest) also felt her rib cage being twisted, she wasn’t moving but she felt that her ribs were being twisted to the left.

This was an interesting ghost hunt and many gets had a physical paranormal experience as everyone either felt spirit energy touch them or move them in some way.

No EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena a.k.a. ghost voice) experiments were undertaken as the noise from cars on the main road could be clearly heard.

Pluckley Screaming Woods ghost hunt – 6-10-2012

Pluckley Screaming Woods ghost hunt, 6th October 2012
Pluckley, Kent

This event was organised with military precision, simply because it was in aid of The Children’s Trust charity and we had the same amount of guests that we would normally have for an indoor event, so the car parking was one such issue. We also had certain members of the team in fixed areas, normally our ghost hunts follow a set path, whereas this event we had a central meet point and all teams went off from this point.

That said the event ran without and problems and there were other people wandering the woods, but we didn’t see them all night.

My area was not only the furthest from our start point but also the most active with numerous paranormal occurrences that have happened here from various public and private events.

The first group here had very high levels of KII activity and some communication via our electronic equipment, but since time was an issue with this event, I held a séance quite quickly so that the guests could experience some physical spiritual activity.

We were joined by a female energy called Grace, she was about 26 years old and gave me the year as 1870. She looked like a typical farm girl wearing a blue dress which was well worn and she had long brunette coloured hair.

Grace treated the guests to some gentle but purposeful arm movement.

At the end of the séance I conducted an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena a.k.a. ghost voice) experiment, although at the time when the recording was played back we all heard some possible ghost voices, on inspection and clarification on a computer there were no understandable voices audible.

The Second group once again experienced high levels of KII activity as well as some brief communication via our electronic gadgets, however upon commencement of the séance a male spirit energy by the name of Tommy came forward. He was a strict and sensible spirit energy, aged in his late 60s and about 5’7” in height. Tommy gave me the impression that he was a local farm trader, as he seemed to be carrying a crate of fruit.

During the séance Tommy was able to move the guests arms as well as push and pull them. Some guests felt a series of cold spots behind them, which seem to come and go as well as seeing shadows and light formations within the woods. Footfalls were also heard approaching us, but no-one arrived.

At the end of this session I held another EVP experiment. There were several audible responses to the guests questions, these can be heard at:-

The Third group we more or less went straight into a séance as Tommy was still about and he was able to give the guests some more arm movement and push them gently. However the atmosphere changed quite quickly as another male energy came forward, however I couldn’t see him clearly, he was however about 6’ tall and of a broad build. He took an instant dislike to one of the guests and started to affect her. The guest felt extremely hot and had to be removed from the séance circle. However as soon as she returned the same energy did exactly the same thing to the guest. I decided that it was probably best not to continue the séance circle. On speaking to the guest afterwards she said that although she could hear me, it sounded like she was underwater as everything seemed to be muffled and distorted. She felt very hot throughout the séance and thought she was going to faint on more than one occasion. However after we had finished the séance circle the guest said that she felt normal again, albeit a little drained from the experience.

Once again a very good ghost hunt with some excellent paranormal activity encountered by the guests.

Fort Horsted ghost hunt – 9-6-2012 (One)

Fort Horsted ghost hunt – 9th June 2012

It is always a fantastic experience for our guests and ourselves when we investigate Fort Horsted in Chatham, Kent. We have had some amazing experiences at the Fort and every time something new or different happens much to our delight. This time was no different.

After splitting the whole group into two smaller groups, both groups set off in opposite directions so that we knew that we could not hear each other and therefore any noises heard by either group was not our own doing. As the Fort is a horse shoe shape noise travels in the corridors very easily.

My first group set off to the furthest part of the Fort in an area which we have had some great experiences. All the guests had time to play with our equipment although there wasn’t a lot of KII activity. We did however have some very good activity on our communication device. I was aware of a male energy called Tomas (pronounced Thomas) although I could only see his face, he seemed to be of Mediterranean descent as he had olive skin, dark hair and dark eyes and rough shaven. He was about 30 years old and passed in the early 1980s. Although I do not know what his link with the Fort was. Tomas gave the majority of the people a push during the séance we held. Some guests also reported a sensation that they were being pushed downwards and felt a pressure on their shoulders. Tomas also moved the arms of myself, Donna, Steve and Kerry as we were all together and Stuart although felt no arm movement, did get pushed a lot.

Whilst the séance was taking place we all heard some very loud whispering and mumbling as well as the sound of footsteps approaching us. Paul (Business Development Manager) thought that the sound had to be a person and set off to investigate the sounds. He didn’t find anyone until he came across the other group, who were exactly where they were supposed to be. Therefore the noises we heard of people approaching are anomalous. I also set up a Geo phone (a device that visually shows noises) at the corner of a tunnel away from us but close enough so that if a noise was detected the lights on this device would light up so that we could see and hear the noise. This device lit up many times and some of the guests also reported seeing shadows and dark shapes move in the same corridor.

From here we moved into the very long and extremely dark tunnel which has proved to be eventful on previous occasions. This time though just about everyone felt an oppressive feeling that made them want to leave, but not on their own!

After short break I returned to this same area with the other group, once again there was little or no KII EMF activity but some good spirit communication from our electronic equipment. Many of the guests were very scared, not just because of the complete darkness but mainly because we heard very similar noises to our first session; mumblings, whispers and footsteps. A female energy called Alice made herself known to me. She was a Nurse in WWI, aged about 19 years old and was approximately 5’6” and had long brunette hair.

I suggested to some guests to put their hand out so that they could feel Alice, many reported pins and needles in their hands, although one guest actually felt a real touch which scared her witless. Other guests could also smell a fruity fragrance which they said did not smell like perfume. This has been reported before in this part of the Fort from our previous events. Many guests also felt cold spots and shivers which was not related to the weather as there was not a breeze within this part of the Fort. Taking the group into the long tunnel did not result in them feeling the same as the previous group. This time the atmosphere felt completely different.

After this session we allowed our guests to roam to some extent. They were able to go to any area of the Fort with us on a supervisory role. Many guests chose to go to the most interesting part of the Fort; the double casement.

I on the other hand took a small group of people to an area which a) has never been investigated before and b) it was an area that I wasn’t supposed to be in. Curiosity however led me here.

Since I have never been to this area before I did not know what to expect, although spirit joined us very quickly. A male energy whose name remains a mystery because he wouldn’t tell me approached us. He looked like a sailor not dissimilar to Captain Birdseye, however he was a carpenter who hand extremely large hands (he was generally quite a stocky built man) and smoked a pipe. When asking for this spirit to repeat a noise we were not disappointed, just about every noise we made we heard a response, although they were quiet responses we have recorded some of the whistles. We also heard footsteps from the staircase and other noises which sounded similar to stones being thrown.

We also heard several bangs and taps in response to our requests and a general mumbling sound, which due to where we were could not have been anyone else talking.

Whilst in this area I undertook several EVP recordings. The best is below and I commented at the time that I heard something, although not as clear as the recording.

Once again a very exciting and enjoyable ghost hunt and one which our guests thoroughly enjoyed although disappointed that we had to finish at 2.0am. The six hours according to most of the guests had just flown by.

Molland House ghost hunt

Molland House Ghost Hunt on 25th February 2012

Our first session was upstairs in one of the bedrooms, I chose this room because it was nearest to the “Haunted room” and furthest away from a colleague who was watching and controlling our remote cameras. One of these cameras was positioned opposite the doorway to the room we were all in.

Our K2 metres picked up on lots of energy at various times and then a male energy aged in his late 60s stepped forward. He gave me the impression that he was quite strict, although he would not tell me his name he implied that he owned the house in 1760s. This male energy would have stood about 5’10” but he appeared to me bent over with a spinal disorder. This male energy stayed around long enough for reasonable communication via our electronic equipment.

During this period we heard lots of noise downstairs, like someone entering the house and walking up the stairs. This was not possible because the front door was locked from the inside.

When talking to Carl (who was downstairs throughout the investigation) he said that he had heard a door slam and although he investigated this he could not find a door that could slam as most had automatic door closers on them.

From this room we went up into the attic room where an 8 or 9 year old boy made himself known to me. He was called Emmanuel or Manny for short. He passed over with small pox. During the time here more noises were heard and mumbling which all guests heard at one stage or another, since it wasn’t a windy night this mumbling could not be explained. Whispering could also be heard by some guests and Sean (who was filming) heard a female whisper “Manny” on the landing of the stairs. Several guests also felt cold spots.

After a short break we headed into the “haunted room” which two of our guests were staying overnight in. Danielle (guest) and some other guests used Danielle’s Aura glasses and tried some scrying in the mirror, everyone saw an older lady transfigured over whoever stood in the middle of the room.  A male energy made himself know to me. He was aged in his mid-30s with a tall and stocky build and came across as a very angry energy who said that he was falsely accused of rape. He hung for his crime. Many guests including myself saw lots of strange shadows in the room and more or less at exactly midnight Carole (guest) felt very unwell. Danielle said she had experienced a similar feeling the night before at around midnight. Our respective K2 metres picked up varying activity through the session.

In another room a male energy came forward he wasn’t associated with the house and told me his name was Colin Gyllyanvase, which sounded familiar to me as it is a Cornish name and he was in fact a Cornishman, aged in his 30s and a spirit energy who was just visiting. Whilst I was communicating with this energy many guests heard footsteps on the landing and other tapping noises.

After this we headed into the very strange cellar which was quite big albeit low celings, but the cellar had two entrances, one near the main staircase and the other near to the Kitchen, I and some guests stayed in the cramped conditions whilst some remained in the bigger part of the cellar. Those guests asked spirit to copy three knocks and immediately the fluorescent light flashed on and off. Then they heard noises from upstairs, and were about to investigate when my group came back and the noises stopped.  According to those people the noises sounded like someone or something scraping their feet on the floor or gravel.

We have recorded quite a few light anomalies from our remote cameras, too many to feature on our website or our Social Media channels. These however will be available on our TV website which will be launched in March or early April 2012.

Fort Horsted ghost hunt – 3-9-2011 – steve

Fort Horsted ghost hunt 3rd September 2011

Fort Horsted is an amazing place, our first event there was a very active location and this time around we were not disappointed either. The group was split into equal sized groups and each group embarked on several very different areas. Each Medium or Paranormal Investigator has written a report.

My group headed for the double casements, this involved a very steep climb down some nasty staircases, nasty because it is very tiring.

After starting a séance circle various energies were present although none seemed to want to be identified, however we heard various footfalls, mumbling, tapping and voices. These noises could not have come from any of the other groups, as we were separated by quite a distance.
Various shadows were seen, whilst I was experimenting with my laser pen Graham thought that Debbie was behind him as he felt a brush against his jacket, but when he looked around no-one was behind him. During this laser pen experiment, which casts a grid of light, many people including me saw some shadows, all the while we were all still hearing footsteps, which sounded like they were approaching, but no-one arrived.

Each session the group of people experienced a different Medium and a different area, so for my 2nd session I headed for the furthest part of the fort, away from everyone. This time around we had some gentle arm movement and pushing, this was attributed to two male energies who enjoyed pushing Graeme and Mia, so much that they were bent over, virtually touching the floor. During this time once again we heard various mumbling sounds (like distant whispering). During the laser pen experiment, once again some interesting photos were taken by the guests, one of which had a very strange person shaped shadow caught within the light. It takes a reasonable amount of technical photographic knowledge to capture the laser light, as a flash will “knock out” the laser light, so the photo has to be taken over several seconds. I too have some odd photos which are still being analysed.

My 3rd session the guests wanted to go to the double casements, which meant heading for those lovely staircases! After everyone had recovered from the intense walking, once again I started by holding a séance, this time another group was in the same area. However more or less instantly Carl started laughing, without any reason whatsoever. (This happened previously in my group when we were in this area at the last investigation in June). Various hot and cold spots were felt by the guests, there were some gentle arm movements and some vigorous movements. One of the male energies that was affecting the guests was called Webb and he was a WWII soldier, quite a gentile character and it was his energy that the guests could feel as hot and cold spots. There was also a female energy present, she seemed very shy, however I have an EVP which she calls out he name (this EVP is still being analysed, however I can only hear Laura as her name, however the experts cannot agree at the moment). Various lights were seen by the guests, mostly behind me.

The 4th Session we allowed the guests to more-or-less go wherever they wanted for about 30mins to either hold their own mini ghost hunt, or to go somewhere with a Medium. Most of the guests at this time decided that they were tired, however I had a group of people who wanted to experience something, so we headed for one of the magazines. This proved a very active area as within seconds of us starting a séance circle we heard approaching footsteps, whispers and groans. There was a male energy present, he seemed to be dressed like a builder and gave me the impression he was from the 1960s. This energy proceeded to push the guests gently forwards and backwards. There was one candle lighting the room and I then asked for spirit to blow it out. As soon as I said that it flickered very vigorously (bearing in mind it hadn’t flickered at all until this point) this continued every time I asked for spirit to blow the candle out, however it was close to be extinguished once or twice, but it never actually went out. However during this time we were still hearing footsteps and at one moment we heard a loud metallic crash, this I thought was someone walking down the corridor, as there are metal gratings covering holes in the floor, however if someone was walking over these gratings the only place they could have ended up was where we were, and no-one arrived. Towards the end of the session we all started to see various lights and then we all thought we saw a bat or something flying in the room. This was too much for one of the girls and she put her torch on, but there was nothing to be found in the area of the room where moments earlier we all heard something flapping. A very strange experience.

Once again everyone enjoyed the Fort Horsted experience, many photographs, EVPs and video footage was recorded on the night and as soon as our evidence has been verified we will publish it on the website.
