Perry Wood ghost hunt 16-7-2011

Perry Wood ghost hunt – 16th July 2011

I was very hopeful for Perry Wood ghost hunt, because it would be the third time I have investigated there and the last time was brilliant. However not all ghost hunts can be guaranteed to be brilliant, and this was one such occasion. It didn’t help that it was a clear sky and the full moon shone very brightly through the trees, this made it very light and most of the paths were lit up that we didn’t need torches. It is never scary when it is light!

Nevertheless spirit did join us at the top of the first hill it was a male energy called Billy and he passed over in 1960s. He was a chubby man (a lorry or coach driver) and suffered a heart attack. Billy proceeded to move the hands of some of the guests and make his presence known to the others by making it very cold beside them. Whilst we were holding the séance a loud crack was heard behind the group, but as it was so light we could see that there was nothing there. Whether this was spirit or not remains a mystery although we heard no more noises throughout the evening.

After much photo taking and some small amount of activity on the EMF Metres we proceeded to walk to the lookout point. It was a very eerie walk not because it was scary but because it was the complete opposite, it was so light, but so quiet and still. That is unusual because the previous occasions I can remember hearing animals and distant traffic.

Spirit energy here was quite impressive and orbs were captured in many photos along with strange mists. At one point Graham who had taken several orb photos reported that his camera was now not working, the camera card just stopped working (even two days after the card does not work, which is a mystery because camera cards are supposed to last a lifetime. A new card in the camera works fine).

On the walk back to the car park I stopped just as we were about to descend the steep hill as I had just seen a flash of light (white) in the trees to my right. Instinctively I took some photos and the photo that I took looks like cigarette smoke in it, but no one was smoking and one of the guests commented that they could smell cigarette smoke. The second photo is full of a mist formation that is so dense I have no idea what it is. Some of the guests suggested that it could be breath (as it was quite cold) so we tried to re-create that effect but to no avail. Whether this was active spirit or not I don’t know, as I did not sense any spirit at this point in the woods.

On balance this ghost hunt wasn’t as good as some of the recent ghost hunts, but equally they can’t all be brilliant, as we would not be able to distinguish a brilliant one from a mediocre one.
