Landguard Fort ghost hunt 13th June 2015
Felixstowe, Suffolk

Due to a smaller group of guests we kept everyone in one group and the team took turns to host different sessions. We started with a human pendulum sessions in the guardhouse and shower/boiler room. The session was split between two rooms because Sue (GHE team) wanted to use both rooms.

Spirit stepped forward in both areas and guests were able to communicate and get answers to their questions.

The second session was a tech and gadget session in the communications rooms. These rooms have in the past been very active. Once again our equipment lit up with spirit activity but this time the spirit needed to be ordered to do something. Considering the room; a communications room and plotting room where ship movements could be plotted it really isn’t surprising that the spirit needed to be told what to do, as this would have happened in life. There was a female spirit called Natalie present, she was aged in her late 20s and a Royal Navy clerk and gave the year that she would have been at the Fort as 1959.

Certain rooms were more active than others and the smaller radio rooms seemed to reveal the most results with one room in particular that guests found to be more active.

The third session was another double activity session with half the group using a Ouija board, the other half table tilting. It was a bit of a let down to start with as very little happened to either group when they were both in the same room. However we split up and moved a few rooms away from each other and I joined the table tilting group. There was a male spirit called Colin who was present and able to move the table although this was not massive amounts of movements, this was gentler. However as a team we have had table walked into and out of rooms, down staircases and around the narrow walkways of the fort, we can’t expect to have that sort of activity every time as different spirit are able to do different things. But we always hope that the spirit can move the table to start with, that in itself is probably a massive feat for the spirit.

The fourth session was a séance session in one of the older magazines rooms. This room I have used many a time as the spirit that seem to frequent this area are able to move people. Lots of people felt spirit move their arms, this was after a while on command and the spirit who was called Damien, a young 20 year old modern spirit, although he didn’t tell me the year, his clothing was from the 1980s period. Once Damien got used to moved certain people he was able to twist people up and tangle their arms, wobble the guests forwards and mostly backwards when they least expected to be moved. Both Will and Ben (guests) who were either side of me, were both pushed many times and they both had their arms moved. Damien also dragged mine and Will’s hand down to the floor and every time let us stand up a bit and then push or pull our hands back down to the floor. This was all very strange and something which I haven’t experienced before at this fort. Usually the spirit either push people to the floor and then let them stand back up but to be let half way up and then pushed down feels very odd. There was another male spirit in the room with us, but I could not see him nor would he tell me his name, but he was responsible for moved people opposite me, as those guests were moved in a different way.

From this room we moved through the tunnels around to another magazine room underneath the seaward side gun rooms as there is one room that we sometimes have activity in. We asked spirit to make a noise or tap or knock and after a short while we heard some noises. These sounded like water dripping onto something (it was raining at the time) but we could not see any water on the ceiling or on the floor. However when asked to make the same noise again we all heard a definite tap, this happened just two more times before we had to finish the session.

The guests then had a 45 minute free time session where they went off on their own or with different team members to do their own style ghost hunt in rooms that we didn’t use during the ghost hunt. Many guests headed towards the Caponier or to the upper gun rooms.

All in all this was an excellent ghost hunt with all the guests having some paranormal experiences and our VIP guests thoroughly enjoyed the experience. You can watch the VIP reviews at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqWQMrZeI7VRO5B3eXYak5UiQTRDsxxTU

This is one of the GHE team’s favourite venues and we always look forward to returning to the venue.

Landguard Fort – 14th March 2015 (Wayne)

Friday, April 24th, 2015

Languard Fort ghost hunt14th March 2015
Felixstowe, Suffolk

Gun Room

Session 1

We used K2s, Ghost Pros, SB7 Spirit Box, REM Pod, Laser Grid, Ovilus 3, EM Pump, Full Spectrum Video Camera and Digital Voice Recorder throughout the sessions.

Guests used the ghost pros and K2s with great success having a lot of activity and communication throughout the session, all K2s showing the same light pattern and spikes at exactly the same time. A male spirit communicated through the ghost pro with one of the guests establishing that he was killed in an explosion on one of the staircases within the fort. We also had a female spirit called “Jane”, she was killed outside the fort in the mouth of the river by her sister “Carol” who was jealous over a man in 1864. She was in her 20’s. “Jane” admitted pulling a guests hair at least 3 or 4 times during our communication with her, I (Wayne) asked the guest what her name was, Jasmine she said, then she added but my middle name is “Jane”.

Session 2

We had activity with the K2s and ghost pros again communicating with the spirit of “Jane” while another guest had a female spirit with the initials “G” and “A” we later managed to confirm this spirit as “Gladys” she also stated that she was the auntie of “Jane” and “Carol” and knew about the terrible act carried out on “Jane” by her sister.

Session 3

A quieter session in terms of K2 and Ghost Pro activity but we had some great responses on the SB7 in this session, capturing 2 male spirit voices through the spirit box both stating their names “Bill” and “Danny” respectively. One guest decided to roll a coin to the other end of the room past everyone into a clear space, we all watched it roll past and heard it come to a stop before it reached the doors, the guest then asked if any of the spirits present could roll it back to him, we heard a slight thud in the direction of where the coin would be but nothing else happened so we asked again. When nothing happened this time we went to where the coin had stopped, but it had disappeared the whole group looked for it throughout the room, underneath the mock cannon, in the cracks in the floor (which weren’t deep enough or open enough to hide a coin) and in the corners of the window recesses but the coin was never found. We done another SB7 spirit box session and asked if “Bill” or “Danny” were still present and if either of them had taken the coin to which we had an answer from “Bill” saying “Yep” in very smug sounding tone.

Landguard Fort ghost hunt – 14th March 2015

Landguard Fort ghost hunt 14th March 2015
Felixstowe, Suffolk

It was with sadness that we attended as this event was due to be the last ghost hunt here at the Fort. We have had some amazing things happen to us over the years and this final ghost hunt did not disappoint.

As usual I took one of the old magazine rooms near the entrance to the Fort. Here we met a spirit called Philip who was aged in his early 60’s and dressed as a plumber or boiler repair man. He was able to manipulate people’s arms and push, pull and sway people. This usually happened on command, but sometimes he moved a person by surprise, much to the delight of the guests. All three groups felt this activity.

However the first group also saw strange shadows and lights towards the end of the room, plus some strange noises, the second group another male spirit made most of the women feel sick, one had to be removed from the group as she felt that unwell. The third group had less activity in this room but after the spirit had moved all of the people, he seemed to lose interest.

After holding a séance for about 30 minutes all groups then walked through the tunnels, normally I would stop at the Caponier but because of the cold wind which made this area so much colder than being outside, I walked on to another magazine room which wasn’t windy to see if anything could be experienced by the guests and then walked on to the mine room.

In the magazine rooms (there are several) different groups felt different things, in one room there was a young army spirit, whose job was to wash/change the felt over-clothes (these were used in the days when the magazines rooms contained gun powder, as any spark could blow up the room), we also met a shy female spirit who didn’t wish to interact with the groups, but she seemed to roam the corridors.

In the Mine room, (a room used to assemble sea mines) we met a portly male spirit who didn’t wish to interact with us, although when I pointed out where he stood to various guests, they could all feel a warm sensation.

Often the most interesting activity happens when no-one is expecting it and whilst the table tilting sessions were surprising the best activity happened in the free time session at the end of the night. A group of guests were in the rooms above the break room, (these were once officer’s quarters) using a Ouija board on the floor. The Ouija board was made from wood and couldn’t bend.

The guests were talking to a spirit using the board, but what was strange is that when the planchette was mid-motion and sometimes stationary the actual Ouija board was spinning underneath the planchette, sometimes fast, sometimes slowly. Obviously no-one could be moving the Ouija board as all hands were on the planchette. A few guests filmed this, hopefully we’ll get a copy of the footage because we didn’t do any filming. Strangely the room that this happened to the guests is also the same room that we had doors slam in people’s faces last year.

This was an excellent ghost hunt, we hope that this is not the last, we hope to return some day

Landguard Fort – 29th November 2014 (Kym)

Thursday, January 8th, 2015

Landguard Fort 29th November 2014
Felixstowe, Suffolk

Area: Mine Room – used to create sea mines
Equipment: Dowsing Rods, Pendulums, Table Tipping

Group C – We started by using the rods and pendulums to communicate with the spirit with us, initially there was a female spirit, aged over 20 years, and had worked here.  Her husband had also worked at the Fort and was with us too.  We tried the table tipping and had some creaks and slight movement.  We were feeling cold touches on our hands.  We also explored the surrounding rooms too.

Group D – Again started with the rods & pendulums, we had a male spirit with us, aged over 100 years!  Not sure if that was true.  He said there were between 15 – 20 spirits with us.  He had worked here in the army in the 1900’s.  He was married with no children.  We then tried the table tipping and this time the table started moving immediately.  It would lift and spin in many different ways.  We were also hearing noises in the room near us, and out in the corridor, we were seeing shadows in the doorway, and continued to hear what sounded like people talking in the room we were in.

Group A – We used the rods & pendulums again to communicate with spirit, and it was the same male spirit that was moving the table previously.  We were hearing noises outside, very loud similar to heavy footsteps.  Tried table tipping and lots of movement as before.

Group B – Using the rods & pendulums as before, and again we had the same male spirit with us.  He said he was in his twenties, and was a British Soldier here at the fort in the 1900’s.  He said his name was Robert.  Again Robert stepped forward to move the table with us, twisting, spinning as before, slow at first, then increasing the speed when asked, and changing direction when asked.  We asked the spirit to ‘walk’ the table to the door, and it did by spinning in different directions.
During the free session i joined several groups of guests, but what did amaze me, and all others that saw, some team and guests had started in an upstairs room table tipping, however the table ‘walked’ out of the room, all round the upstairs areas of the fort, and then finishing by coming down a full flight of stairs.  Pretty incredible!

I absolutely love coming to Landguard Fort, there are always new places to explore, and something different happens every time.

Landguard Fort ghost hunt – 4th October 2014

Tuesday, November 11th, 2014

Landguard Fort ghost hunt 4th October 2014
Felixstowe, Suffolk

Landguard Fort remains one of the Ghost Hunt Events teams’ favourite venues, especially as a fort because it is one of the bigger forts that we investigate with so many rooms that we haven’t fully investigated and we have held events here for three years.

I usually try to hold my sessions in different rooms, for two reasons, one so that I can remember what happened and to who and secondly so that I investigate and see more of the fort.

The first session was held in a Magazine room in the rear of the fort (the front is the seaward side, the entrance is to the rear).

We were joined by Sergeant Robin an Army Sergeant from World War Two era wearing typical Khaki clothing and aged about 25. Throughout the séance that I held here we all heard mumbling (which wasn’t from any of our other groups, as they were too far away) footsteps, doors slamming and banging and the odd voice calling out.

There was some gentle arm movement amongst the guests, but the predominate physical action was that most people felt pushing sensations on the back of their knees.

There was a female spirit present, her name was Jane with a nickname of Janey and she was in her mid-30s.

The second group I chose a different magazine room (magazine rooms are those used to store cartridges and shells used for guns that would be mounted on the upper levels of the fort to fire at ships and planes) but near to the first.

Once again during the séance there was some gentle arm movement but more knocks and door banging. This time we investigated the door bangs but could not find any door that was banging in the wind as all doors were firmly closed and in some cases locked.

The third session was held in another area, away from the possible door bangs. This séance was different as the spirit energy just wanted to touch people with our arms. Although most of this this turned into people being swayed and pushed as they were not expecting to be moved. Many people felt heavy sensations on their shoulders with some people being pulled backwards much to their surprise.

This was an excellent ghost hunt and lots of paranormal activity witnessed and experienced by the guests and we are looking forward to our return visit in November 2014.

Landguard Fort – 4th October 2014 (Kym)

Tuesday, November 11th, 2014

Landguard Fort ghost hunt 4th October 2014
Felixstowe, Suffolk

Area: Guard House with adjoining cell to rear
Equipment: Writing Planchette, KII’s, Ghost Pro’s, Dowsing Rods, Pendulums

Group B – I had been looking forward to coming back to Landguard Fort since our last visit in April. One of my favourite places and I started by showing the guests how to use the rods and pendulums.  Once everyone had established their yes & no’s, we asked spirit who they were.  We had a male soldier, British and over 50.  We asked spirit to point the rods to where he was standing, and three of the four rods all pointed in the same direction.  We did use the Ghost Pro too which was answering questions.  We then moved to the cell and tried the writing planchette, but no movement, however some of us were swaying whilst kneeling on the floor and leaning on the table.  We did hear noises and footsteps near us, and were feeling cold breezes.  With just 10 minutes left we moved to the shower area and spent a little time in there.

Group C – With my next group we started with the rods & pendulums and had a lot of movement.  Most guests had a male spirit, but one person had a female.  The male was again a British Soldier, and had died here in battle.  One guest’s pendulum was rotating continuously in very large circles, and would change direction when asked.  We asked spirit to do this to the rods, and all started rotating, slowly, but kept going all the way round.  Again we asked spirit to point the rods to where he was standing, and they pointed to the same place as previous group.  We moved to the cell but had no movement on the writing planchette, so we took the Ouija table to the bathroom.  Although the glass didn’t move, the table was gently rocking whilst everyone’s fingers were on the glass.  Some guests were being swayed too.  With 10 minutes left we all moved to another room and whilst doing so two guests saw a shadow of someone move across opposite.  They both went to check but no-one there.  We did all go into another room for just a short while, but with no movement on the Ouija stopped for break.

Group A – With the last controlled session we started with the rods & pendulums, and had lots of movement.  We then tried the writing planchette in the cell, and almost immediately it started moving.  We asked spirit to give their initials, and although not too clear we think it was either an S or P for their first name, and a Z for their second.  Then we asked spirit to copy the shape a guest had a drawn on paper (she was not on the planchette and didn’t show anyone).  A triangle was drawn by the planchette, a star was what we had asked for – quite close.  We asked spirit to copy again, this time a Z, but the planchette drew a circle with a square around it.  One guest who had a digital recorder hanging around his neck felt it being pulled.  We then spent the last few minutes back in the main room quietly, asking spirit to affect us, make a noise, etc.  One guest felt he was pushed a couple of times.
In the free session I joined a group of guests in the map room on the ouija table, although there was only small movements with the glass, we were hearing and feeling lots of thuds underneath the table.  Gill (guest) was also feeling taps on her back.  We then did try some table tipping, and got lots of rocking followed by the table tipping up and spinning around.

Landguard Fort ghost hunt – 11-4-2014 (Kym)

Thursday, May 29th, 2014

Landguard Fort ghost hunt 11th April 2014
Felixstowe, Suffolk

Area: Guard House with adjoining cell to rear
Equipment: KII’s, Ghost Pro’s, Dowsing Rods, Pendulums, Glass Work

Group B – I started with showing the guests how to use the rods & pendulums, and immediately they had lots of movement, and established their yes & no answers.  We had a male & female spirit with us.  Guest were amazed by the movement they had, especially when the rods started spinning like a helicopter.  We also had some matched responses on the ghost pro.  A female guest had felt a touch on her arm.  We moved into the back room had continued to have responses on the ghost pro, with some little movement on the glass.  I asked spirit if they would prefer the five female guests on the glass, and not the male guest, replied yes on the ghost pro, and with that changed, the glass started moving more.  The glass would move in rapid circles, and stop & change direction when anyone asked.  The guests then would ask for spirit to move the glass to certain persons i.e. the person with a black dog, the person who had just had 22nd birthday, person going on holiday next, person with a particular car, and each time the glass moved to the correct person.

Group C – Again started with the rods & pendulums and had lots of movement.  With all of us standing around I asked spirit to touch someone as in the previous session, but said to all if we stand around and wait it won’t happen, spirit like to surprise, and sure enough 5 mins later one lady suddenly stepped forward.  She had felt as if someone had pushed her ruck sack on her back.  No-one was near her.  We then moved into the back room and had little movement on the glass at first, then it started moving around the table a lot stronger.  The spirit answered a few questions, he was male, not married, had no girlfriend, but had a male friend.  It was the 1500’s and he went to prison here for liking men.  We did turn on the Ovilus and had some words come through, the strongest and more apt were “shoot”, and asking if spirit had shot someone, answered “possible”.  Again one guest got touched, and we all heard what sounded like the metal bed springs being moved or touched.

Group D – Started with rods & pendulums and had movement.  Moved to the back room, and the glass started moving.  The spirit confirmed he was Peter who had been with the guests from the last session.  He was then able to answer some personal questions from the guests about themselves.  The spirit also said there were three spirits with us.  One lady who was kneeling felt she was pushed.  All then returned to the first room, and the ovilus was turned on.  The name Carol was shown, and using the ghost pro spirit confirmed this was her name.  I then asked if anyone wanted to spend time in the cell on their own, and Dawn did this for a short while.

Group A – started with rods & pendulums and lots of movement – guests were amazed by the way they all moved.  Again they were able to ask questions to spirit.  Went to back room and had a little movement, but could feel tapping and vibrations on the glass.  A noise was heard next to us, sounding like a male groan.  We tried a little table tipping, but only had some creaking under the table.  We returned to the front room, and some guests did solos in the cell.

Free Session – after a short break I went off to explore and stopped in a trio of rooms with guests – Jackie, Steph & Dawn.  We stood in the end room with metal wardrobes and asked spirit to copy our taps on the wardrobes.  We did this a couple of times, and one of the guests commented that she wasn’t very patient waiting, and all of a sudden we all heard a very loud bang.  After calming down very quickly I knew we need to check no -one was there.  With guests in tow – Steph holding my hand very tightly – we walked through to the middle room and realised it was the far door that had closed.  This door had no handle on it, but we were able to open and go through.  To our surprise nobody else was there or even on that top level.  Steph and I went back in, whilst Jackie and Dawn stood outside looking through the window.  Steph & I again stood in the wardrobe room and called out for spirit to open and close the door again.  I was sure the door had moved so we ventured back into the middle room.  We could see it had moved a little.  Asking out for spirit to open the door again, we were both amazed to see the door open in front of us, and at our request the door slammed shut again.  Jackie & Dawn were watching through the window and were amazed to see the door open and close too.  We were all very excited by what we had witnessed.  Asking for spirit to do it again, we heard one thud on the door, and saw it move slightly at the same time, but no more.

Great end to the night !!

Landguard Fort ghost hunt – 11-4-2014

Monday, April 28th, 2014

Landguard Fort ghost hunt 11th April 2014
Felixstowe, Suffolk

Landguard Fort is one of our favourite locations that we always look forward to the event as there are so many rooms within the fort, many of which we haven’t tried anything paranormal. However on this particular evening we had split the whole group into four smaller groups and each group was as far away from each other as possible so that we shouldn’t have any noise interference.

Each of my sessions I chose a different room within the same area so that I would remember each group and the activity, mainly for writing this report, but to also try to use more rooms within the fort.

The first room I chose was one of the magazine rooms, I have held séances in this room before and after a slow start the spirit started to interact with us. The spirit was called Philip aged in his early to mid-20s, a boiler repair man from the 1960s. Philip first started to move some people’s hands and arms with eventually the majority of the guests feeling the sensation. Philip was able to use our hands to stroke the shoulders of other people in the circle and in some cases the faces of two particular guests.

The second group I took to the Caponier. This is always a cold place because it is semi-open to the elements and the wind can blow through the shooting apertures. We were joined quite quickly with a spirit called Thomas, aged in his early 20s, who had passed in a motorcycle road traffic accident in the 1980s. He told me that he left behind a wife and two children. He was wearing a white T shirt and jeans. Thomas quickly was able to move the majority of the guest’s arms which some guests found fascinating. Other guests who did not have much arm movement were pulled backwards; usually this happened as a surprise and quite quickly, especially to Angela and Lyndsey (guests).

During this séance I had the sensation of smelling Silver Nitrate which I know from my professional photography days, however this is not used in the photography business anymore and it has a distinctive smell. On asking the guests if they could smell anything, they all replied ‘no’. I then asked if any of the guests had used Silver Nitrate recently, one person said yes, and she had used it a few days before the event, she works in the medical profession. Silver Nitrate is not commonly used in any industry and certainly not handled by many because it is toxic and corrosive.

The third group I took to a different magazine room, this was in the second grouping of magazine rooms and an area which I have never held a séance before nor an area which any of our team have investigated before. We were joined almost immediately by a male spirit called Cedric who was about 65 years old. Whilst I asked for him to move our arms and hands, little happened at first although when people’s hands started to move, most found this surprising and a sensation which they couldn’t believe or understand. Many people questioning the person they were standing beside say “is that you moving”, the response every time was “no, I thought it was you”. This unnerved a lot of the group. Several others felt an unusual pain in the back of their knees, throbbing arm pain and in the case of one person a static buzzing sensation in his chest. Several of the female guests felt odd sensations in their legs and lower back when their arms were moving, no-one could really describe the sensation although they all agreed it was unusual and something they had never felt before.

The fourth group I took to some of the older areas of the fort, still a magazine room but these rooms in this particular part of the fort were probably the original armament rooms from 1880. We were joined by another boiler repair man, Charlie and a female spirit briefly joined us. Charlie was able to lift the hands and arms of everyone, as well as drag us down to the floor by our hands and used my hands to rub some of the dirt on the floor onto a guest’s boots.

I also took this group to the Caponier were I encountered Thomas earlier to see if he was still around. He was and he happily pulled the guests backwards much to their surprise, it was one of those sensations that at first it was a little scary because no-one knew who was going to be moved, but once it happened a couple of times each guest wanted more movement.

After we finished our four sessions, each group had then spent time with all of our team doing different activities and we then allowed the guests to conduct their own ghost hunt or to go into rooms that we had not used. I suggested to a group to go up onto the first floor to a room where I have seen and heard some odd things.

This group were asking for knocks to be repeated, but instead of knocks the door promptly slammed, which freaked them out as it was not at all windy and there was no obvious explanation of why the door slammed.

This was an excellent ghost hunt with lots of paranormal activity experienced by the guests and we look forward to returning to Landguard Fort later this year.

Landguard Fort – 5-10-2013 (Sue)

Tuesday, January 28th, 2014

Languard Fort Saturday 5th October 2013 – Sue & Sean Report

1st Vigil Group B Sean and I were based in the Guard Room. We began by calling out to spirit to make themselves know to us and almost immediately the Ghost Pro meter began to light up. We encouraged the guests to ask questions to the spirit that was engaging with us and the guests were getting responses to their questions via the ghost box pro flashing either once for yes or twice for no. We attempted to get spirit to talk to us via the Ouija board but the glass moved only very slightly. I could sense the presence of a female spirit that had entered the room. I was overcome with extreme sadness and had the feeling she felt isolated and that she had felt betrayed by a man. She did make me feel very upset and emotional but this was the only time this lady interacted with me. We all heard what sounded like a pebble or something similar rolling off a shelf and hitting the floor behind us.

The strange thing is there was no shelf and we couldn’t find anything on the floor that could have made this noise, although it was heard by all the guests. We decided to move into the single prison cell that is at the far end of the guard room. We all held hands and formed a séance circle. Sean and I called out to Spirit and asked them to let us know if they were present. Almost immediately one of the guests began rocking and was being forced backwards, he said he could feel a heavy presence on his chest. My team member Sean and Misha (a guest) began to have their arms moved upwards and twisting. Several other guests but mainly the men, were having there arms moved. We noticed that Daniel (one of the guests) was being pushed backwards quite forcefully. His legs were rooted to the spot but he was bending back from the waist upwards. Daniels breathing changed, it became heavy and he seemed breathless. Sean and I asked if he was ok but we got no response from Daniel, he had gone into a trance like state and appeared to be starring straight through us. This is very unusual and does not normally happen. Sean placed his hands on Daniels back and very quickly he came out of the trance like state. He was ok but said he felt extremely hot. Daniel was not aware of what had just happened, he just remembered the feeling of being pulled backwards. I do stress that after a few minutes Daniel was completely fine and he continued to participate. Whilst we were in the cell, the ghost pro meter and K2 was continually lighting up.

2nd Vigil Group C We decided to start off our second vigil with a new group of guests in the Cell area. We formed a séance circle and almost immediately one of the guests Angie said she felt very light headed, faint and as if she was going to blackout. We placed Angie in the centre of the circle for protection and so she could sit down. Within a minute or two she said she felt better. We decided to leave this area and move into the main guard house area. We placed a table in the middle of the room with 2 x K2 and 2 x Ghost box pro’s and formed a séance circle around the table so all the guests could see the equipment. Myself and Angela (a guest) both said we felt sea sick and we felt as if we were rocking gently, as if we was on a boat. Angela said she felt a bit drunk and merry. When we asked spirit did he like a drink the K2 spiked. I asked the guests could any of them feel or sense anything happening. One of the guests Daniel who had been very quite said Yes something has pulled my trousers down, when I asked Daniel, how far have your trousers been pulled down he replied, right down to the bottom of his bum. With this everyone began laughing and we all said I wish this was on film. Once we all began laughing this seemed to raise the energy because all of the guests apart from two ladies began having their arms lifted in the air and twisted. Guests were having there arms pulled down and pushed into the floor. One gentleman said to Sean (my team member) it feels like they are trying to push my hand right through the floor. It was most amusing to watch as it was if they were playing a game of twister. I have never before witnessed so many people being touched, moved and pushed by spirit. It appeared as if the male spirit was trying to pull (a guest) Simon’s body round so he had his back to the rest of the circle. Simon, Gemma, Sean and several other guests were all pulled down to the ground. We were all laughing as we were so shocked by how physically we were being touched when Gemma said Simons hand had gone very limp. Simon had gone into a trance like state just like Daniel had in the 1st group. It took a few minutes but we brought Simon back round but when he went to stand he had lost the feeling in his legs and they felt like jelly.  Simon has no memory of what had happened but after a few minutes he was ok. This really is strange and something that I have only ever witnessed once before so to have this happen twice in one evening is extremely unusual.

3rd Vigil Group A Our last group experienced similar to the other two groups although they were not pulled to the ground but there arms were moved, lifted up into the air and twisted. When we were in the cell area several of the guests and Sean were pushed up against the wall and Spirit was pulling Sean and other guests around the room.  A guest said he could feel a cobweb on his face. There was no cobweb but when a spirit steps close it often feels although you have walked into a cobweb. The other strange thing that did not happen on the 1st or 2nd group was we noticed how dark the cell had become. This area should have been quite light as you have a window in the cell and also we had set up in the corner a camera that was recording and a torch was on the bed. However the cell was extremely dark. Through out the night we had activity on the ghost pro meters but the k2 only spiked occasionally.

Free time For the final hour the guests are allowed to investigate the fort by themselves. They can go anywhere they wish and use any of our equipment. They can investigate by themselves or grab a team member is they wish to. Simon, Gemma and few other guests asked if they could come with me. We headed for the room that had the baths in. This room made you feel uneasy and we did get some responses on the ghost pro but this is a small area and there was quite a few of us so we decided to move on. I then took the guests to the room that they store wood in. As soon as you walked into this room the atmosphere changed and the guests did not like the feeling of this room. We asked a few questions but within a few minutes the guests wanted to leave this area as they just didn’t feel comfortable. Simon, Gemma and I went back to the guard house. We began using the Ouija board and connected to the male spirit that had been so physical with the guests. The spirit was reluctant to use the letters on the board. We asked if he could spell his name for us but unfortunately he could not spell. So we communicated with him by asking questions and the spirit using the yes and no and the numbers on the Ouija board. The gentleman told us he was married and had two sons. One of his sons had died in infancy. The year the gentleman had died was 1847. He was a sailor and I sensed his death was an accident. So by asking several questions we established that his death had been caused by an explosion. He felt he was to blame for this.

Overall Sean and I have a very interesting night. I don’t think either of us has ever seen so many guests and Sean being pushed, pulled and twisted. The level of activity we have had has been amazing. This Fort is huge and has so many areas to investigate. I cannot wait to come back again and investigate other areas of this Fort.

Many thanks to all the guests

LANDGUARD FORT GHOST HUNT 5th October 2013

For the evening I was on the upper level in the ramparts with Jason filming with me.  In our first room we explained how the equipment (Ghost Pro & KII) worked.  The guests had some interaction with spirits on the ghost pro’s.  We then moved to the Gun Room and held a séance circle.  It felt very uncomfortable in that room, I was feeling dizzy with a headache and difficulty breathing.  Jason was feeling it too with a headache.  I kept being pushed back – I felt the spirit didn’t want me or us there.  A male guest was being pushed back too.  The female guest to his left felt blowing in her ear.  To her surprise when asking spirit to blow in her other ear it did, and not just once.  Another female guest felt her neck being tickled, then she felt it continue down her back.  Noises were being heard around us too, and Jason and Simon (guest) heard a ringing noise.  We then moved to the next room where we had set up the Ouija table and more equipment for the guests to use.  The glass on the Ouija table moved slightly, guests were feeling cobwebs and tingling, one guest whilst touching the glass felt his finger go very hot.  Gemma (guest) was having positive responses with the dowsing rods.  We swapped the guests on the table so everyone got an opportunity to try, and we tried some table tipping.  We were hearing creaks underneath the table but no movement.  When we asked spirit to copy our taps we heard some taps back in response but not to our pattern.  However some of the time one of the guests could feel the correct taps underneath his hands.  As we all left the room, Jason was last to leave and heard a loud bang behind him.  Thinking it was a ghost pro fallen, he looked and couldn’t find anything.

With the second group again we explained the kit in the first room as they hadn’t used any on their first session.  Some interaction with spirits was experienced.  We then all went to the gun room and held a séance circle.  The guests standing to my left, their hands holding each other started moving up.  They took it in turns to ask spirit which way to move and to their surprise their hands moved to their request.  Other guests were being swayed.  We then went to the next room and tried some glass work on the Ouija table but nothing.  Tried some table tipping and felt some vibrations and taps.  Jason and guests heard what they thought to be the chain moving on two old bikes in the room.  We could hear some noises outside the room too.  Some guests then went into the cells for a short while before the break and one guest heard the door creak but when moving the door to his surprise it did not creak!

With my third group we went straight to the gun room and held a séance circle.  To our surprise we had activity on the KII for the first time.  The guests were asking the spirit communicating with us on the ghost pro’s if they were related to anyone here, and were receiving positive responses.  As no-one was having any type of movement we stopped the circle and as we all left the room, with Jason last, the doors at the opposite end flew open.  The doors were only pulled shut, not properly closed with the latch so we all questioned whether it was wind (although it was not a very windy night).  We all reconstructed the event, opening the doors one end to leave, all left the room with Jason remaining to film.  We all stood outside the opened door and watched through the room to see if the other doors opened.  To our amazement after a few minutes they flew open again.  Then as Daniel (guest) went to walk back into the room the door he was about to walk through closed on him.  This happened again when he tried to enter the room.  I left five guests and Jason in that room and took Drew and Tanya (guests) to the Ouija table as they thought they had a family member with them.  Although no movement with the glass, we had turned the Ovilus II on and the words coming through had personal meanings to the guests connected with a relative passed over.  With the remaining guests and Jason joining us, Drew & Tanya stepped away from the table to continue with the Ovilus, whilst the other guests sat at the table.  Immediately the glass started moving for them and by asking a few specific questions were able to verify that Daniel’s (guest) mother was with them.  This brought joy to them all and many questions were asked, with some amazing replies.  Daniel’s mum remained with them for the next hour.  All asking questions to validate more the spirit that was with them.  Much happiness was felt, along with lots of tears.  Daniel’s mum was taken too early and it was clear that she was dearly missed.  Throughout we also had lots of KII activity, always around Daniel, showing where he mum was standing.  When we felt that area pockets of warmth was felt.

Now into the free session the guests decided to have a wander with kit, and Jason & I stayed in the room.  Jason was playing some WWII music, and the atmosphere started to change.  The temperature dropped rapidly until we were both shivering with cold.  We felt that several spirits had joined us.  The empty chair next to us kept creaking as if someone was sitting there.  Other noises were heard around us.

A great night as most of the guests were new to ghost hunting and many were sceptics…but all seemed to be converted by the end of the night!
