True Crime Museum 13th February 2016
Hastings, East Sussex
On this first ghost hunt (at this location) I thought I would aim for something that many wouldn’t; 13 people on the 13th February. It proved to be a good decision as we had lots of activity on Ouija board and table tilting as well as the séance held in part of the museum called the Death Chamber.
During the séance we had a number of spirit present, the two most prominent ones were an Army Captain and a Bobby (an old fashioned Policeman) both of whom were able to move us beyond what we thought possible. Some of the movements were painful, but were actually on command of what someone had asked for, not necessarily the people who were being moved!
The Ouija board had lots of communication as well as our electronic gadgets and dowsing rods and pendulums.
It was an interesting ghost hunt and a location we look forward to returning to in the summer.

Explosion Museum ghost hunt 6th February 2016
Gosport, Hampshire
AREA: P-BUILDING
EQUIPMENT: OUIJA, TABLE TIPPING, WRITING PLANCHETTE, GLASSWORK
We started the evening by having a tour around the Explosion Museum with the VIP’s, being led into some interesting areas that are not seen by the general public. I chose to work in a huge building that would have been used, and still was being used, for storage and boat building/renovation. The weather was very wet and windy at the start of the evening, with the door being continuously blown open and closed, but the skies became clear and still later.
We started with half the group on the Ouija, and the remainder of the group on the table tipping, but with only slight movement on both all seven guests tried the table tipping together. However, before this we were hearing whistles when asking out for them, and one guest felt his chair move whilst sitting in it. The table started moving immediately, lifting up at the side, twisting and spinning randomly. We were also experiencing a coldness moving around us, and some felt they were being touched. We did hear what sounded like the glass being moved across the Ouija table, but on checking the glass had not moved, or if it had, it had been moved back.
With my second group we had a little movement on the Ouija, with the glass twisting, but no communication. The group on the table had some slight movement, they tried the writing planchette, but the table tried moving again. So I brought all the guests together and we all tried the table tipping. We had some gentle rocking, and were hearing noises around us, a mumble or murmur in one area, one guest saw a shadow in a different area at the same time were heard a rustle/movement there too. We all tried the Ouija, the glass moved to the numbers 4 and 5, was this his age? The glass started moving to yes but then stopped.
With my last group we had a little movement on the Ouija but no communication. We then all tried the table tipping and it did start rocking very gently. I encouraged the guests to interact with the spirit, and the more they did this, the more the table moved. We then tried the writing planchette, had no movement, but the table was moving again, so we switched back to that. And again with the guests asking, especially Janet, the table moved and spun as they asked.
With the controlled sessions over, and an hour left of the night, I joined three guests, in the Admin Building. We went to the shower/toilet area in the back left of the building and started with the Ouija board on the table we use for table tipping. The planchette started moving immediately, and went to “Hello”. We then asked for spirit to spell his first name and got “OFUK” – interesting! The planchette went to “goodbye”, but we asked spirit to stay with us for some table tipping. With our fingertips lightly on the table, the table started moving. We managed to get the table to lift towards Mark for yes, and opposite for no, and was able to ask spirit some questions. He was a male spirit from WW2 who had murdered someone here. Mark suddenly felt a coldness behind him and heard a footstep next to him, which made him jump. We had also heard a footstep earlier in a different place. We then put the Ouija board back on the table without the planchette, and with us touching the board asked spirit to move it, to our surprise the Ouija board started moving on the table. We then asked it to rotate, which it did. With only a short time left, we went back to the table tipping, and again the table started lifting, spinning and started to walk out the room. We did also have a spirit box on for some of the time and were hearing corresponding words to the answers on the board i.e. hello and yes.
A fabulous end to the night at a terrific venue!

Landguard Fort ghost hunt 30th January 2016
Felixstowe, Suffolk
Area: Tunnels
Equipment: Table Tipping & Ouija
We initially started in one area, with the Ouija in a room and the Table Tipping in the corridor, but with only slight movement on the table we moved throughout the tunnels until we felt a stronger spirit presence. This was in the far end, in the Boiler Room. The glass on the Ouija only moved slightly, but with a little more movement on the table we decided to see if the male spirit that was with us would move the table more if only females present, which it did. The guests enjoyed interacting with the spirit, and with encouragement from us the table started rocking quite a lot. Gareth, Dennis & Brian (guests) stayed with the Ouija, had a little movement on the glass, but did hear two of the empty chairs creak, as if someone had sat down on them. In the Boiler Room one guest saw a large white flash of light on the floor by the boiler, checking to make sure it wasn’t a torch light, it was left unexplained.
With my second group we all tried the Ouija but having no movement switched to the Table Tipping. We initially started in the corridor, and immediately the table started rocking. We asked the spirit to tilt the table towards the room we were just in if he wanted the table moved into there, which he did. So moving the table back into the room we were in, the table started rocking quite a bit. We noticed when we were laughing the table would move more. When the guests started singing the table lifted up one side and started spinning around. With more singing and encouragement, the table would continue doing this to their request. The table when asked, also walked out of the room, then came back in. With lots more spinning and movement on the table, our time was up.
With my last group we started with the Table Tipping in the main room. The table responded after about 5 – 10 mins by gently rocking, then with everyone laughing, singing and encouraging, the table started moving more, spinning quite a lot too. Also the control when the table was leaning over, almost to the ground, was incredible. We were just touching the table with one finger each, very lightly, and the table just stayed there balancing. Amazing. The guests then wanted to try the Ouija, and the glass started moving immediately. The spirit spelt his name as Dick, short for Richard. He was the spirit that had been moving the table. Asking what year he was from – 909. His age was in his forties. Asking where he came from, he spelt a name we did not recognise. Going through the countries, he confirmed he was from Italy, he was a Roman, and Caesar was there. He said he was buried here on this land. He was married, and did spell his wife’s name. Asking if he had a message for us, he gave us “MZPXAMAMAM”.
We wondered if that was roman numerals or Latin. We did ask Dick to help us with an experiment, he said yes. So five guests that were touching the glass wore blindfolds, whilst those that weren’t asked the questions, the same as before to see if the same answers came back. The results were about 50/50. Then the glass started spinning in circles, and I asked Amanda who wasn’t touching the glass to hold her hand up when she wanted the glass to change direction, to our surprise it did but only once. We also asked spirit to take the glass to where he was standing, and it went towards Ben. He then felt a coldness in front of him. The guests continued to interact with Dick, asking many questions about themselves, to which Dick confirmed the answers, always correctly.

Fort Amherst ghost hunt 29th January 2016
Chatham, Kent
Area: Radio Room
Kit & Human Pendulum
I started the night by giving the VIP’s a personal tour around the tunnels, showing them how to use the Ghost Pro’s and KII’s. We stopped for a short while on the Gun Floor, and immediately we were sensing spirit around us. I started feeling a static energy around me, and a pressure on my head, as if I was wearing a very tight hat. I was also being pulled back. I asked spirit to do this to others, and Pat (guest) to my left started being pushed & pulled back too. We were also asking spirit to copy our whistles, and were very surprised when we heard whistles back twice, especially Luke & Jay (guests) when they heard it right next to them.
With the event starting we headed back to the guest’s area, and commenced with the three controlled sessions. I started with the first group by showing them all the equipment, and we explored the Radio Room. No activity on the KII’s and Sprit Box, but a lot of interaction with the Ghost Pro’s. We then did a human pendulum, and was able to communicate with a French male from the 1600’s, aged 40+ and not married. He was not connected to this fort. We then had a young female spirit who had a small child, was not married, and had died young. Then we had a male prisoner from Fort Horsted. He had killed someone, but said he deserved it. He had killed another person, and the prisoner had seeked revenge. The prisoner had escaped once but had been recaptured.
With my second group again just activity on the Ghost Pro’s. With the human pendulum we first communicated with a female who had miscarried. Her husband was in the Navy and connected with the fort. The second spirit that came through was her husband, who confirmed he was in the navy in WW1. He said his ship was bombed, but by the Russians. The ship sank but he survived. He worked as a deck hand cleaning the ship. After his wife had lost their child, he had an affair and fathered two children. He was born and lived in Kent. I wanted to know the spirit’s name, so I asked all the guests to clear their mind and ask spirit to tell them his name. Initially we had John, then Sam, but three of us all had George, including Jenny (guest) who was in the middle with me. Spirit confirmed that was his name but moving Jenny to yes.
My last group was too small to do a human pendulum so we just concentrated on kit. We had a lot of activity on the ghost pro’s, communicating with George again. On the spirit box we kept hearing a female calling what sounded like “help”.
Throughout all the sessions, people did comment that they felt they were being touched.
At the end of the night I joined most of the guests on the Gun Floor for some amazing Table Tipping with a very large table.

Fort Amherst ghost hunt 11th December 2015

Human Pendulum
We had kept all the guests together for this event as the numbers were low enough, therefore I only had one controlled session. My first guest in the middle was Nina, and the spirit we were communicating with was a male in his thirties. He had murdered someone, over a woman. He had children but had not married. The second guest in the middle was Dean, and we had a female spirit, who was the daughter of the previous spirit. Then we had a female friend of the daughter. The last spirit to come through was connected to one of the guests called Sharon, she was an Aunt who had passed away just a short time ago. Sharon was thrilled to have her come through, and although this isn’t normal for spirits we know to come through, she obviously need to receive that message.

Colchester Town Hall ghost hunt 28th November 2015
Colchester, Essex
Area: Kitchen and adjoining rooms
Equipment: Table tipping / dowsing rods
Session 1: group C
I started this session in the Kitchen area. Working on two tables it was decided that the group split into two smaller groups so there was an even number of guests on the table. I explained to the guests to put one hand lightly on the tables and I stood on the middle of the room and called spirit forward to come and move the tables in some way. Initially there was no movement, one of the tables then started to gently rock back and fourth but no more movement even with encouragement from the group. At this point the guests decided to split up and take the tables to separate rooms to see if the spirit activity would be stronger. One group had no movement at all from the table even with my encouragement and theirs. So I decided to try the group with the dowsing rods. After explaining how they work to the guests showing a movement for yes and a movement for no, they all began to get activity and all started to asks questions. A couple of spirits came through that of a little girl and male spirit in his 50’s. However no more information was received. In the other room the group had the table moving and the K2 that I had placed on the chair was lighting up. I asked spirit if they could possibly light the K2 up to amber and hold it there and it did so, a which point the table started tipping on to one leg and spinning round really fast. All the guests started laughing and the K2 lit right up to red. After some more encouragement from the guests the table started to walk and went out of the door and right along the corridor stopped for a while and then walked straight back into the room. As the activity from spirit was so great, I decided to ask the guests if they would like to move one of the bigger tables in the room. The table I can only describe as a long school dinner table. We all placed our hands on the table and immediately the table started to tremble. Vanessa and Marie (guests) called out to spirit to ask possibly if they would move the table for us instead of making it tremble. Then all of sudden taking us all by surprise it started rocking really forcefully back and fourth.
Session 2: Group A
This group were the VIP’s being looked after by Kym (Team). It was decided that we all start the session back in the Kitchen area. Again initially the tables didn’t move, so I asked the group to encourage spirit to move the tables to which they did. Both tables slowly started to move just gently rocking back and fourth. Kym (Team) then decided to take a group into another room. My group and I stayed on the table in the kitchen as it had really started to move. The guests asked spirit to show them more with table to prove that they could do more. A this point the table tipped up on to one leg spun round in an anti-clockwise direction and walked us out into the corridor and straight into the other room where all the activity had taken place on the first session. The table walked right up to Kym’s group and stopped. Both tables then stopped moving. But we noticed that the K2 was lighting right up to red. I asked spirit to take it back down to the green light which it did, then asked if they would take it back up to red if we moved into the kitchen area and move one of the big tables in there, it shot straight up to red. After placing our hands on the table and calling out to spirit the table completely spun round in a full circle. We could not believe that this was happening. The table then stopped and we could here taps, bangs and scraping noises coming from under the table and we could also feel the vibrations through our hands. One of the guests asked spirit if they could possibly do that again for us and it did so straight away. At this point I and one other guest saw a shadow figure pass by the doorway. We went to investigate and the temperature in the corridor had dropped significantly.
Session 3: Group B
This session was started in the Kitchen. Initially there was no response from spirit even with encouragement from the guests. The table then stated to move very slowly rocking then suddenly started to spin went up on to one leg and held this position. With encouragement from Janet (guest) the table started to walk out into the corridor and down the stairs. This amazed the guests, so as we were getting a lot of activity from spirit, Janet (guest) decided that we move on to one of the big tables that I can only describe as a school dinner table. The table immediately started to rock back and fourth forcefully. At the same time during the session a number of guests saw shadow figures walking along the corridor and disappearing into the other room.

Old Beneficiary School ghost hunt 5th December 2015
Portsmouth, Hampshire

Equipment: Table Tipping/ Ouija Board and Dowsing Rods
I started all the sessions on the Ouija board. Not everyone wanted to participate in this activity but all were more than happy to watch. The guests sat round the table and I asked spirit to step forward and come and communicate with us by moving the glass. Very little happened and the glass didn’t move despite all the encouragement to spirit to come and tell us their story. I told the guests to keep encouraging as I went to join two other guests that had started to work on the table tipping. Initially this was also very slow to start, but then the table began to gently rock from side to side. At this point a really cold sensation passed right through us as we heard a loud bang come from the wall right beside us. Jason (team) called out to spirit to make the again if that was them to make the noise again and straight away the noise was heard again but louder. With More encouragement from the guests on the table the table slid itself across the floor to the Ouija table and stopped. As there was no movement from the glass the remaining guests decided to join us on the table. Shuffling noises and loud footsteps were heard coming from the on the stage and got us all a bit worried at this point. On investigation nothing was found but the footsteps carried on throughout the rest of the session. As there was now more energy on the table it started to rock back and fourth tipped on to one leg and spin us around. One of the guests asked spirit if they could walk the table to the door before we leave. To out surprise the table very gently started to walk towards the door. All encouraging spirit saying how well they were doing the table then walked very quickly and stopped very abruptly when it reached the door. Activity stopped at this point except that we thought we heard laughter of small children as we left the room.

Army Flying Museum ghost hunt 23rd January 2016
Middle Wallop, Hampshire
Equipment: Table tipping/ Ouija board
For this session it was decided that I use a conference room. I started the session by splitting the group into to smaller groups. Five started on the Table tipping and five started on the Ouija board. At first the glass didn’t move even with the encouragement from the group to spirit. After some time the glass started to move very slowly around the table then went to hello. Saying hello back to the spirit that had joined us, they went on to tell us that they were male and German and fought in the WW1 and during battle his plane was bombed from the sky. The spirit failed to give us his name even with the group asking politely.
On the table tipping, the table started rocking back and fourth but very slow. As the table became a bit more active through asking spirit to come and move the table more for us, we asked them to tip the table to the right if they wanted to communicate through the table to which point it tilted to the right. Establishing a yes and no answer by asking spirit to tilt to the right for yes and the left for no, we discovered the spirit that came through was connected to one of the guests. A girl came through who used to go to school with two of guests and had died young, but just wanted them to know that she was ok.

Upnor Castle Halloween ghost hunt 31st October 2015
Rochester, Kent.
Area: North Tower
Equipment: Tables for table tipping
Upon arrival we were shown around the Castle. It was decided that I worked in the North Tower top floor as I felt this area to be really active.
Session 1 – Group B
I started the session by splitting the group in to two smaller groups so we had people on both tables. Initially none of the tables moved. I called out to spirit if they would come and move the tables in some way. Both tables then started gently rocking from side to side. Jeff (guest) encouraged spirit to see if they cold move the table in some other way. After a while the table tipped up on to two legs and held this position for some time. With more encouragement from Julie (guest) the table then tipped on to one leg and started to spin round in a clockwise direction. Meanwhile the guests on the other table had also got their table to spin and carry out random movements. It was then decided that we ask spirit to communicate through the table by tipping it right for a yes answer and left for a no answer. Through the tables we started talking to two male spirits who confirmed they were both soldiers. They went on to tell us that they didn’t get on together and one was angry with the other for a dispute that happened during their time at war.
Session 2 – Group C
This group immediately arranged themselves into two smaller groups so we had an equal number of people around each table. I asked spirit to step forward and start to move the tables for me please. At this point both of the tables started to gently rock from side to side. I was not on any of the tables at this time and the guests could not believe what was happening. This group was full of encouragement and laughter which made spirit move both of the tables very well. Both tables together at the same time both tipped up on to two legs and held their positions for some time. With encouragement from myself and the guests both tables then just started carrying out random movements and spinning very fast making it hard for the guests to keep up with the speed. One of the tables then went on to walk towards the door much to the guest’s amazement.
Session 3 – Group A
Again I asked the guests to split up so an equal amount of people were on each table. I asked spirit to step forward and once again move the tables. Initially none of the tables moved. Then without warning one of the tables just tilted to the side very fast and held this position. Encouragement from the group asking spirit if they could move the table for them in some other way, it suddenly tipped up on to one leg and spun round in a clockwise direction very fast. Some of the guests were not convinced that someone in the group was moving the table, so I asked each guests just to lightly put one finger on the table and still encourage spirit to move the table. To their amazement the table again started to spin even with us all just having one finger on the table. On the other table the guests had managed to encourage spirit also to move their table to which it has spun round and started walking off towards the door.
This event was very interesting as it was our first visit to Upnor Castle. I was very happy with the evidence that we got from the sessions and I can’t wait to visit this venue again

Landguard Fort ghost hunt 6th November 2015

Equipment: Ouija/Table tipping
Session 1 – Group B
We started the session with table tipping. Initially the table slowly rocked from side to side. Asking the group to all encourage spirit to move the table more or in some other way it tipped up on to one leg and slowly rotated clockwise. The table then began to walk to on several occasions to a desk that was in the room and stop at this point. Steve (guest) had a K2 metre that lit up from green to red very quickly and held it on the red light. Asking the guests if any of them had their mobile phones switched on as these can interfere with the equipment, they all said no. However, the K2 would only go off in that certain area of the room that the table kept walking to.
We then moved on to the Ouija board as I asked spirit through the table if they would communicate through the board and it tilted the table for the yes position asked by the group. The glass moved straight away moving the glass very quickly in a circle around the table. The spirit then went on to say she was a female spirit by the name of Isabel, 19 years old and married to John who worked at the Fort. During this session we managed to find out that Isabel had two children called James and Sarah and she died during childbirth. She then went on to tell us that her surname was Suttoz and her husband was Austrian and died in 1936. At this point the glass started spinning very fast around the table and a loud bang was heard by all the guests in the corner of the room. I asked spirit to make the noise again and it did so straight away much to the amazement of the guests.
Session 2 – Group C
I began the session by splitting the group into two smaller groups. Some of the guests had done Ouija before and felt comfortable to make a start. I however stayed with them until the glass started to move. Asking spirit to stay on the board I then started the other group on the table tipping. All the guests started to encourage spirit to come and move the table. It immediately started to move tipping, rocking and spinning making it hard for the guests to keep up with the fast movements. Once the table had settled we asked spirit if they could communicate by tipping the table right for a yes answer and left for a no answer. One of the guests asked if we were in the presence of a male spirit to which the table with some force tipped to the right. Back on the Ouija the group had contacted a spirit called Tom who said he was moving the table. He also went on to say that he died whilst building the Fort. The glass then went to goodbye and another spirit came through. The spirit went on to tell us her name was Elizabeth and she was 19 years old. She then told us that she was kidnapped while fishing for her family and brought to the Fort and was beaten and raped by her brother who worked at the Fort and died at the age of 25 years of her beatings. The glass then took us all by surprise and very quickly spelt out the name Ray. Ray was the name of one of the guests on the table who had seemed to have gone in a trance like state. The spirit went on to tell us her name was Edna and she was 78. Still in a trance like state Ray said that’s the name of my Mum. I asked Ray if he was comfortable to carry on to which he replied yes. Rays Son Luke (guest) asked if Edna had a message for Ray. She went on to say that she was sorry for dying and that she loved him. At this point Ray had come out of his trance and became very emotional and had to leave the room.
Session 3 – Group A
I started this session on the Ouija board. I was joined by guests Kelly, Steven, Louie and Jan. Initially the glass took some time to move even with the encouragement from the guests. However, after some time we were joined on the table by a spirit called Trevor who said he as born in 1897 and died in an accident. Asking Trevor if possible he could tell us, he went on to say that he was cleaning his gun when it accidentally fired killing him and his friend called Geoff in 1943.
Trevor then said goodbye and we were joined by another spirit by the name of Thomas. He went on to say that he was murdered by his friend Tim whilst on duty. He had a wife called Elizabeth who is still alive today. He said he was confused but his mum and dad are with him but misses Elizabeth as she was a nurse and she tried to save him but he later died from his wounds. The glass on the table begun to move very erratically and very quickly spelt out the name Tim. Tim went onto to say that he was angry with Thomas and that they were never friends as he did bad things and that is why he murdered him. Tim went on to say that his regiment was the Lance Corps, he loved being the joker and always made people laugh. Even today he said that he still makes noises to try and scare people. When asked if he could make a noise for us to prove he was there, a loud sudden bang came from the corner of the room.
