Rye Castle ghost hunt 25th April 2015
Rye, East Sussex

The Old Mortuary

Session 1 with Steve
We used K2 meters,Ghost Pros, SB7 Spirit Box, EM Pump, REM Pod, Mel Meter, 360 Parascope, Ovilus lll and Tarquin the Interactive Bear.
We handed out K2s and Ghost Pros to the guests as we normally do, having activity on the ghost pros almost immediately with some small spikes on both of the K2s. Shortly after the activity started we realised that all of the ghost pros were acting in a way that none of us had seen before, they were all flashing the same pattern as each other but it was a constant random pattern with simultaneous needle spikes, this carried on in short bursts throughout the session.
Steve pointed out that we were not alone as he could see a spirit in the corner of the room who had been drinking heavily and staggered around at the back of the room. We placed a 360 Parascope in this area which immediately picked up some static and lit from one side to the other as if someone had “brushed” past it exactly where Steve had seen the spirit.
Paula and two of the guests experienced cold spots on them feeling cold on the back of their legs and arms whilst I also felt a temperature drop and static energy around me as I was kneeling to “pray” in front of the cross. Tarquin also mentioned a few times about a temperature change.
Steve and one of the guests heard a high pitched squeal come from the area in front of the cross just before I knelt in front of it. It was also noted that the batteries in our equipment were being drained more so than at other locations.

Session 2
Same activity as before with the ghost pros but not quite as badly affected. We managed to get a few answers through the ghost pros but not enough to gather a story on any one of the spirits that were trying to communicate.
Soon after we started we all heard noises from the top of the stairwell as if someone was walking around, firstly hearing creaking then footsteps then tapping and finally something that sounded like a coin being dropped on the floor.
We decided to try the Ovilus lll to see if any relevant words would come through this device but again as in session 1 it was being affected by this area and refused to work properly, incidentally we tested all of the affected devices and they all worked as they should once we had left the area.

Free time
During free time whilst in the entrance/shop area we were speaking to the resident guide about John Breads who had killed a man in the churchyard opposite the castle. He pointed to one corner of the tower and told us that this was where John Breads spent the last 60 days of his life so I immediately went to this area with the Ovilus lll device. The first 2 words that sounded from the Ovilus were “Centre” and “Stabbed”.

Rye Castle – 25th April 2015 (Kym)

Rye Castle (Ypres Tower) ghost hunt 25th April 2015
Rye, East Sussex

Area: Women’s Tower/Prison
Equipment: Writing Planchette, Glass Work, Table Tipping, Dowsing Rods, Pendulums

Group B – We started with table tipping, and could feel the table trying to move.  Some guests were feeling a tingly sensation under their hands whilst touching the table.  Two guests felt they were being touched on their shoulder at the same time.  But with only slight movement we switched to glasswork.  Ted (curator) was sensing a familiar female spirit nearby, and he was being pushed/pulled throughout, but with no movement on the glass we tried the writing planchette.  Again had no movement on the planchette but could feel the table gently moving again.  Whilst asking for the table to move, Ted & I could sense it was a child trying to move it.  As not much more movement we tried the pendulums & dowsing rods.  Everyone was able to ask spirit some questions, and yes it was a small boy aged around six.  He knew the female spirit, was a mother figure but not his mother.  Ted had the names Emma & John given to him.

Group A – We started with table tipping and the table started rocking immediately.  Asking spirit to move the table to show a yes & no, we established the spirit was a male jailor.  He was the nicer jailor, who didn’t like the other jailor.  The table would move however we asked, lifting a particular way, spinning, and walking towards the door when asked.  We asked spirit to lift/move the table to show us where is was standing, and it lifted towards the corner of the room next to us.  Asking spirit if he would like to communicate with us using the glass or writing planchette he chose the glass.  Again the glass started moving straight away, in very fast circles around the table.  We asked spirit to take the glass towards where he was, the glass now moved towards the door.  Ted commented he often stands in those two places when here.  The jailor answered a few more questions:  he worked in the main building in 1840, the women’s tower was built when he was here, and he was scared of the other jailor who was his boss and not nice to the women.  He was aged 34 and died of natural causes, and was buried in Rye church graveyard.  He was married with no children.  We asked spirit to draw using the glass, his first initial.  He drew what looked like a M or W.  Moving the glass to yes he confirmed it was the letter M.  We asked spirit to try and tell us his name and one guest had the name Matthew, the spirit confirmed this was his name.  We then tried the writing planchette and the pen/planchette started moving in lots of random circles.  We asked again for spirit to draw his initials, which looked like M – O or D – S.  Louise (guest) was feeling unwell during this and had to sit down, and didn’t start feeling better until she left the area.  We did try table tipping again, and again had lots of tipping and spinning.  We also tried pushing the table back down when it was lifted up, and with all taking it in turns was amazed by the strength we had to use to push the table back down on to the floor.  When Ted tried he was unable to push the table back down.  This amazed us all, and we could not believe the power/force behind it.

I love Rye Castle – a fantastic venue, with something different happening every time we go!

Rye Castle ghost hunt – 25th April 2015

Rye Castle (Ypres Tower) ghost hunt 25th April 2015
Rye, East Sussex

Given that this event was our first at Rye Castle for 2015, we were very keen to see if it were comparable with previous visits. If anything it is more active now than it used to be but now the improvements and building work have finished for the time being and maybe the spirits are happy with that.

As with all our events I like to vary the types of things we do in each group, so this time around we had three sessions for the guests to participate in, one with me holding séances, one with Wayne & Paula holding a tech session and another Kym in the Woman’s Tower.

Upstairs of the Keep I held the séances sessions and we were joined by Godfrey, a 56 year old portly gentleman wearing a three piece suit who repeatedly jingled the money in his pockets to inform people that he was rich. Godfrey was from the 1830s.

There was also another male spirit called Freddie who appeared from time to time. Freddy was a more modern spirit as he was dressed in a more modern fashion of just an open necked shirt and plain/grey trousers, aged in his early 20s.

Many of the guests in the first group felt their arms and hands being moved by the spirits and being pushed and pulled to the floor and the circle being pulled and twisted towards the cell that has the graffiti. I moved the least as people seemed to move around me, with those opposite me being moved more often.

During this session we all heard what we thought was the main door to the keep being closed or slammed. Considering the outside gate was locked and the other group were in the lower ground floor of the keep it was a bit unnerving, so Ted (Rye Museum custodian) went to investigate. He found nothing out of place or unusual.

Many guests saw a face on the headless mannequin or thought they saw a face at the window, this wasn’t a person as we were on the first floor and about 20 feet above ground level!

Also whilst standing in a particular spot near the window many guests felt the unfathomable experience of being “sucked” into the wall.

Odd lights and strange noises were heard as the session continued, but none of these had any obvious or explainable answer at the time. We will have to see if they happen at future events at Rye Castle.

The second group didn’t get anything like the activity of the first group because either they didn’t encourage the spirit to do anything or just took the mickey out of the spirit. Godfrey was present but became disinterested and left. After 40 minutes I ended this session as it was pointless continuing.

After we finished our controlled sessions the guests were allowed to investigate on their own and use our ghost hunting equipment. Many went back to the Women’s Tower or sat quietly in the keep to see if spirit would interact with them. Some interesting photos were taken by guests and some felt spirits presence.

Once again another interesting ghost hunt with lots of guests feeling and sensing spiritual and paranormal activity.

Rye Castle – 10th October 2014 (Kym)

Rye Castle ghost hunt 10th October 2014
Rye, East Sussex

Area: Women’s Tower/Prison
Equipment: Writing Planchette, Glass Work, Table Tipping, Dowsing Rods, Pendulums

Group B – This was my first visit to Rye Castle this year, so was looking forward to the investigation.  Whilst setting up earlier I had noticed the Ghost Pro was doing a lot of random flashing so decided not to use any electronic equipment.  We started with the pendulums & rods, and all had some movement.  One person didn’t and seeing his frustration, I asked him to control my pendulum, so whilst I was holding it he would ask in his head for spirit to move the pendulum in a particular way, and each time my pendulum moved to his request.  This surprised him.  We were asking the spirit questions, and we were receiving the same information: male, British, died here in his 50’s, possibly 8 or 10 spirits with us.  Ted (curator) was feeling his pendulum being pulled from his fingers.  He felt he had the female spirit of Dorothy with him, but she wouldn’t come closer because the Jailor was present.  One guest, whilst holding the rods, asked for them to rotate continuous, and was surprised when they both did it instantly.  We tried the writing planchette but no movement.  We tried the glass, but only little movement.  We then tried table tipping, and the table lifted up slowly one side, but just stayed there until it fell over.  We tried again and it did the same.  Tash (guest) had started feeling pins & needles in her hand, and when she started feeling stabbing pains, looked down to see her hand had swollen a lot.  The pain then started moving up her arm.  We moved the guests around the table, but Tash’s hand remained swollen and painful.  However, Ted was now in the corner where Tash had been, and he was being pulled backwards off the table, until he was in the corner.  Ted decided he should step outside, and with only a little more movement on the table, we tried the writing planchette again, but without the paper and pen.  The planchette started moving around the table slowly, then the planchette started lifting up and down on one corner.  Then it moved to the edge of the table and started moving around the table edge.

Group A – Started with the rods & pendulums, most receiving movement, and we had between 20 – 25 spirits with us!  Adam (guest) whatever he tried would get no movement.  This seemed to be a pattern all night, as if he was being protected.  We started with some table tipping, and had some movement.  We tried glass work which worked better.  Adam, Ryan & Ted were feeling very cold on the backs of their lower legs. We also heard a noise from outside, the same time as Olly (guest) saw a shadow come into the room.  The spirit on the glass was female, aged 33, passed in the 1450’s, and was just passing through.  However she also said she was connected to Adam, and was protecting him.  Adam then asked some personal questions and was very surprised by the answers ie. asking spirit to draw with the glass the dates he was born, house number, and other significant information.
We had now started with the free session and guests went off to do their own investigation with equipment.  I returned to the Women’s Tower, and my last group were back there talking to the same spirit using the glass.  We did switch to the writing planchette and surprisingly we received a lot of drawings, including initials R G for the spirit, go, no, yes, and then Adams name and a heart.
We then went to the basement of the Castle, which had been used as a mortuary, and tried some table tipping.  With only 15 minutes left we asked spirit to step forward quickly, to which he did.  However with table lifting one way for yes, and opposite for no, it seemed spirit did not want Adam on the table.  With just Ryan and friend, the table started lifting and spinning to everyone’s amazement.

A great end to the night – looking forward to next time !

Rye Castle ghost hunt – 10th October 2014

Rye Castle ghost hunt 10th October 2014
Rye, East Sussex

It is always with a little bit of sadness  when we come to end of the year, as this was the last investigation at Rye until April 2015 and often the last event is memorable for lots of reasons. This event was no different.

As usual I headed to the first floor of the Keep and started to hold a séance circle. Within a few minutes we were joined by Philip aged in his early 40s, quite a portly gent who gave the impression that he locked prisoners up.

Arm movement was felt by the guests as Philip went around the circle and affected the guests one by one, some guests were pulled backwards and other forwards. As is becoming relatively normal, the people either side of me were being pulled down to the floor. The people opposite me were pulled backwards and onto a table.

However the more time that passed the feeling was that there was more than one spirit responsible and then I heard a spirit say his name; Ezekiel was the name the spirit gave which didn’t correspond to the person I saw. The person I saw was not nice and possibly a murderer as some of the guests were sensing some discomfort around their necks. At the same time other guests saw shadows and movement in the shadows especially in the direction of the terrace doorway.

The second group, we started as normal and once again Philip returned and started to move the arms of the guests but once all guests had been moved at least once I saw Ezekiel and once again guests started to feel odd. I decided at this point to end the séance just in case things got out of hand (which has happened in the past).

At one point one guest was lying down and their head was banged on the floor. Tasha (guest) who was standing in one of the cells felt pinching on the back of her legs.

Many times we all heard a strange tapping sound, like someone rapping their fingers on a wooden desk or cabinet.

After the guests chose what activity they wished to do and I joined some in the Women’s Tower who were having some mixed responses with glass divination. However once I stepped into the room the energy levels increased and the guests had useful movements and answers to their questions. Thankfully I didn’t need to touch the glass.

This was a great ghost hunt and we cannot wait to return in 2015.

Rye Castle ghost hunt – 27th September 2014

Tuesday, November 11th, 2014

Rye Castle ghost hunt 27th September 2014
Rye, East Sussex

As usual I headed to the first floor of the Keep with half of the guests, the other half were in the Women’s Tower.

The séance that I held started well with lots of arm movement however this didn’t progress into anything else, normally I would expect the level of physical activity to increase to push and pull people, but this didn’t happen. Some of the guests ventured into the Cells in the corners of the room.  In one was a female spirit energy that had lost her child (baby) whilst imprisoned.

Many of the guests felt their ring finger being pulled and those guests who stood by the main window didn’t feel comfortable.

At various times some guests smelt lavender and something they described as an “old” smell. When I stood by them I could smell pipe tobacco.

Within the cell many people felt an odd or strange sensation in their hands, which I had hoped would result in someone being touched but alas this didn’t happen.

The second group was predominantly female and this brought a different type of spirit to the room during the séance.

Lots of movement was felt by the guests, with Courtney (guest) being bent backwards over the map table and having her arms and shoulders stroked by other hands of the guests.

Other guests were twisted like ballet dancers and generally moved and pushed or pulled. Once again Ted felt uncomfortable and had to move within the room. Although this time I could see why as the spirit energy had changed from an affectionate gentleman who liked “good times” to a gentle female spirit energy who called herself by many names until she chose Maggie as the name that we should use to call her. For whatever reason Courtney then felt emotional for this spirit.

A little later in one of the Cells another spirit energy was present and was able to touch people’s hands, I wondered whether this was the same spirit that had made the other group’s hands feel odd. However Courtney felt her bum pinched.

Once again another enjoyable ghost hunt with lots of paranormal activity felt and experienced by the guests.

Rye Castle ghost hunt – 27th August 2014

Rye Castle ghost hunt 23rd August 2014
Rye, East Sussex

After splitting the guests into two groups, I headed upstairs to the first floor of the Keep, the other headed into the Women’s Tower.

After starting a séance we were joined by a spirit called Paul, who I described as being a local rogue, aged in his late 30s and of a large build, shaven head and a scar on his left cheek.

There was also a young spirit of a soldier who did not interact with us.

During the séance the guests had their arms moved and were gently pushed and pulled. A couple of occasions the people either side of me were pulled to the floor.

Towards the end of the session I noticed an older female spirit had entered the room and at this point Ted (the Museum Guide) had to leave the room as he said he felt odd.

The second group experienced some more arm movement; lots more than the first group although there was no pushing or being pulled to the floor.

During the séance we all heard some odd noises and saw strange lights within the room that upon investigation we could not find any explanation for these oddities.

After this we all headed into the garden (the old exercise yard) to do an experiment with a Spirit Box (a device that scans the FM radio frequencies in reverse at 100ms). Many of our questions we all heard an intelligent answer.

Some of the guests after this session held Glass and Table tilting sessions, other ventured on their own throughout the Keep to try their hand at ghost hunting and to take photos.

This was once again a very enjoyable ghost hunt with all the guests experiencing paranormal activity in some form.

Rye Castle ghost hunt – 24-5-2014

Thursday, June 19th, 2014

Rye Castle ghost hunt 24th May 2014
Rye, East Sussex

We were hopeful after our first ghost hunt at Rye Castle in April that similar activity would be repeated on this visit. We rarely get the same activity on two visits but nevertheless we can always hope. What we had this time had been experienced by guests before, but not all in the same night.

After splitting the guests into two groups, one group headed towards the Woman’s Tower the other with me onto the first floor of the Keep.

Starting a séance we were joined by a male spirit called Simon, who was wearing a red jacket with white bits and light blue trousers with a navy blue cap. Obviously either a guard or soldier and aged in his early 30s. On asking for Simon to move us he proceeded to move our arms, which when asked by the guests to be moved in a particular direction he obliged.

Simon also was able to pull people backwards, much to their surprise, especially Billy and Kelly (guests) and to the floor, and even when on the floor some of us were still being moved and pushed into more painful positions.

Many guests felt a strange but definite pressure of their shoulders, which in turn left them feeling as if they were being pushed to the floor. During this séance some off smells were experienced by the guests, sometimes it smelled of chemicals other times horse manure.

The second group to the Keep were joined by Simon (the spirit from the first group) and when asked to move us many guests felt arm movements but the movement wasn’t of the same calibre as the first group.

Once again some unusual smells seemed to “arrive” in the room, lavender and perfume were the nicer ones but the other was leather in the tanning process. At about the same time as people were starting to smell these unusual aromas the room seemed to get darker and the atmosphere of the room changed. Dennis and Tanya (guests) both saw a dark shape and presence by the terrace entrance. I stopped the séance at this juncture as Dennis said that he wanted to see what he could feel. Afterwards he told me that he felt threatened and had the flight or fight feeling. He had no idea why he had this feeling.

The atmosphere changed again, back to a familiar feeling although I have no idea what caused the changes or why. Since all the guests had now spread out throughout the Keep various groups of guests were feeling different things. Tanya and Sarah felt touches and odd feelings when in one of the cells and Dennis and Sam were experiencing the same strange sensations in different ways but neither could explain why they felt that way or what they had been threatened by.

A few guests wanted to hold a séance in the mortuary part of the Keep (the basement) so I joined the group there. Whilst I could not properly see the spirit I could feel their presence, as could the guests as we were all eventually moved by our arms into painful positions. Kerry (team) had the sensations and the physical feeling of being pulled backwards towards the cupboards. At the end of the session all of us felt very unsteady and had to lean or hold on to something to avoid falling over. This is a normal occurrence lately and something which we had not experienced often before the Woman’s Tower was refurbished, however since its refurbishment we frequently have times where people feel very unsteady standing and have to lean or rest of something and it happens in the Keep and in the Woman’s Tower.

In the upstairs of the Woman’s Tower I held a sitting séance and we were joined by Daniel a Second World War soldier and priest aged in his early 20s. He was able to move some of the guests hand and arms to “draw” invisible shapes and letters which enabled the guests to ask him questions and get some responses. Many times he said that he would make a noise, but we never heard any strange noises.

Once again this was a very good ghost hunt with lots of paranormal activity witnessed and experienced by the guests. This particular ghost hunt was more physical than some of our previous ghost hunts, although our next ghost hunt in August 2014 may be different as we will be using some equipment that we have never previously used at Rye Castle.

Rye Castle ghost hunt – 26-4-2014

Friday, June 6th, 2014

Rye Castle ghost hunt 26th April 2014
Rye, East Sussex

Rye Castle is one of those special places, were it seems innocuous during the day time, but at night things aren’t quite what people expect. That’s why we like it!

Normally all guests are split into two groups, one group in the Women’s Tower, the rest with me in the main Keep, but this time we held a larger séance in the main keep first.

We were joined by Charles, a provincial bobby (countryside) who wore a large cape and carried a storm lantern and Clive who was a local petty criminal aged in his early 30s, wearing a white granddad shirt and green woollen trousers.

The séance started with gentle arm movement, which is what I asked for and then spirit took this to another level by twisting our arms with other people and pushing people off balance. Many of the guests who asked to be moved, touched or pushed got their wish come true as spirit was able to move everyone eventually by pushing them forward and pulling the guests backwards.

At the end of the séance a familiar feeling was felt by everyone in the room, this is something that we have witnessed a few times before, but this feeling is getting more frequent. It is the feeling of being unstable when standing up, after a while all guests had to hold on to something or lean on something as standing unaided felt odd and many reported that if they didn’t they had the sensation that they would fall over.

Anyone who was standing near to the front window felt the sensation of being pulled into the wall, whether this had anything to do with the general sensation in the room remains a mystery.

Half of the guests stayed with me the rest headed into the Woman’s Tower, those with me went into the mortuary part of the tower, and this is now the lower part of the tower.

Some unusual noises were heard, although we all heard them we couldn’t explain what it actually sounded like, the noises were just plain odd.

Whilst I was talking to the guests a World War Two soldier joined us and it would seem just to listen to what was said because he didn’t interact with us. Going upstairs to the main keep into one of the old cells we met a fairly short male spirit his name aptly was Dicky who had been persecuted for killing a chicken. The guests in this cell were able to feel his presence.

Going into the Woman’s Tower one guest reported feeling a tightening sensation around her neck and throat and feeling dizzy. When I stood in the same spot I too felt much the same although the sensation of being dizzy was more prominent. As the session progressed the sensation of feeling dizzy, unsteady and general swaying became more pronounced.

There were two spirits present, one a young female spirit aged in her late teens and a male spirit who took a dislike for me. Whilst we were here in the tower we heard a strange breathing noise, like someone who had difficulty trying to breathe or someone taking their last breath. When I asked for the spirit to touch or move people Katie (guest) felt nauseous. When we were in the lower part of the tower we all heard footsteps on the concrete steps leading to the upstairs and walking across the floor above us, we were the only people in the tower at the time and the tower doesn’t adjoin anything.

At the end of the evening all the guests were in the keep whilst Ted, the museum guide was locking the Woman’s Tower and we were watching on the CCTV. There was a chain that when put in place across the room seemed to sway, nothing unusual in this, but it took a very long time to stop swaying and then when it nearly stopped, it started swaying again. We wondered whether this was due to Ted shutting the door and creating a draft, but as we watched the swaying get more pronounced Ted walked into the Keep. This continued for at least 5 more minutes before coming to rest.

Once again a great night and our first for 2014 at Rye Castle, hopefully the rest of our ghost hunts at Rye will be just as active.

Old Police Cells Museum ghost hunt (Sue) -1-2-2014

Thursday, February 6th, 2014

The Old Police Cells 1st February 2014
Brighton

This was my first visit to police cells so I was really looking forward to this investigation. I was based upstairs in The Council Chambers. When I first arrived I went in alone to set up the room and sort out any equipment I would be using. I kept having the feeling I was being watched and found myself looking behind me. The Chambers is a huge very impressive room with an adjuring room to the side that although a lot smaller and not as grand gave me an uncomfortable feeling.

My first group was the famous Boo Club. On entering the room we heard a noise and discovered the dowsing rods that were placed on a chair had suddenly appeared on the floor, there is no reason this should have happened and we did ask spirit to push them on the floor again but this never happened. Firstly we tried the Ouija board and some glass work but unfortunately we had very little movement on the glass. As these guests have been on many events I wanted to try and see what they could sense and feel. We spread out and stood or sat in different areas of the room. We began calling out and I asked spirit to make the guests feel how they had once felt when they was in this room. We did get some great results with several people feeling the same thing at the same time. Jason (Team) and Rusty (Guest) both said they had a metal taste in their mouth. This indicates they had got the taste of blood. Later on two guests both said they felt they had bitten through their tongue. Audrey (Guest) was drawn to a particular chair and when she was sat here she said she felt very emotional and upset but also that she had the feeling that she just didn’t care, almost as if whatever was going to happen would happen and she had no control over the outcome. She was also feeling cold spots down her right side. Audrey was picking up on how the person had felt when they once sat there. Some on the guests and me were feeling sick, light headed and dizzy especially when they were stood by the window.  Most people generally felt agitated and uncomfortable with a knotted feeling in their stomach. Darren and Mark (Guests) decided to sit in the area of the accused. They both felt very upset and emotional when sat here so much so that Mark said he felt like he wanted to cry. As the boys had had such strong feelings in the accused area three of the female guests sat in the same area. However they felt completely comfortable here so it was only affecting the men. Darren (Guest) chose to sit in the Judge’s chair. Myself and a few of the others guests stood close to him. We could feel cold breezes sweep across our hands and different parts of our bodies. There was no draught causing this. Darren said it felt a lot colder above his head than it did at waist height and when we used the digital thermometer there was a 6 degrees difference. Which is quite odd that it felt 6 degrees colder above his head than by his waist, normally heat rises so this did have us all intrigued.   The whole time the vigil was taking place we had almost constant activity with the Ghost Box Pros lighting up and flashing once for yes or twice for no to our questions. We heard a groaning noise coming from the adjuring room next door. But the most impressive noise we heard was the sound of a chair being scrapped across the floor. Jo (Guest) tried to see if any of the chairs had moved and tried to replicate this noise by dragging a chair but it was carpeted floors in this room and we could not recreate this noise and we could not find any chair that had been moved. Spirit gave Jo (Guest) the name of Michael, liked to be called Mickey aged 55yrs who had been sent to prison, although he would not tell her exactly what he had done just something bad.

Second Vigil – Group A

In my second vigil I was joined by my fellow team members Sean & Kerry.  We started off in the Chambers / Court Room but I was drawn to the adjuring room next door.  We began an Ouija board session and almost immediately the glass began to move around the table but could not spell out anything that made sense. Establishing the male spirit could not spell we got the spirit to move towards my torch for Yes of towards the triangle that was placed on the other side of the board on the table for No. We all took it in turns to ask the spirit questions and he seemed to respond better when the two male guests asked the questions. The Male spirit didn’t really want to answer any of our questions but was very happy drawing shapes circles, square, straight line etc. with the glass. He had once worked here. The energy on the glass changed and became very gentle. I instantly see a little girl aged 6 with brown bobbed hair, chin length with a fringe. She was wearing a brown shirt, white blouse type top and something was tied around her waist. She had no shoes on and her feet and legs looked dirty and grubby. Our spirit child was called Elizabeth and she liked moving the glass. Sean (Team) went off to get a ball that lights up. We threw the ball and asked Elizabeth if she would be able to move the ball for us but unfortunately she didn’t move the ball (This would take a lot of energy for a small child to do this) but she said she could see the ball. She had always lived her. Whilst we were in this room we did hear several noises.

Third Vigil –Group B

My last vigil was very similar to the first. We started off in the court room. I sat guests in the same places as I had with my first group and some of their experiences were very similar. The male guest stood by the window felt sick. A lot of the guests felt very uncomfortable, uneasy and just generally wanted to leave this room. When a guest was sat in the same chair as Audrey had sat, she also felt cold spots down her side and also felt someone was stood behind her. The Ghost Box pros were lighting up and responding well to our questions. We moved to the adjuring room next door and had a little activity on the glass but not as much as my second group had experienced. But it was all women on the glass and previously it had responded better when the men asked questions. (I later learned that women would not have been allowed into this room it would have only been men) We heard a lot of noises and one brave guest went off and stood on her own to see if she could figure where the noises were coming from. After a few minutes she came back saying how strange it was as she could hear the noise but couldn’t figure what was making the noise. The session came to a end and one of the guests said to me she was glad she was leaving as this whole area just made her feel so uneasy and anxious she also kept rubbing her stomach.

An interesting evening with many guests having very strong feelings. Most people did not want to stay in these rooms and wanted to just get out. Some good photographs were also taken with strange mists appearing in the photos. I look forward to returning to the police cells in the future as this place has left me intrigued and wanting to find out more.

Special thanks to all the guests. Till next time.
