Pluckley Screaming Woods ghost hunt

Pluckley Screaming Woods ghost hunt – 12th February 2011

After leaving the car park we made our way down the extremely muddy footpath, after 10 minutes I was lost, since the last time I visited the woods a large proportion of trees had been felled and added to this the footpath was awash with mud, so I had very little to navigate from memory.

However, after the path seemed to stop, so did we. After a short cigarette break we decided to hold a séance and try to gather some kind of evidence. The night was quite cold, but the moonlight was adequate to see without a torch. There were active spirit around, but after much cajoling very little happened. We did however have a good laugh and joke. People saw lights in various directions, although most were lights on houses. The only unexplained lights were some red lights or eyes that one of the guests spotted.

There were some noises, however being a wood we couldn’t rule out the odd animal, as we all clearly heard owl calls.

So after a rather unproductive start, I decided to try to find the part of the woods that I have visited on three previous occasions. Which meant trawling through all the mud again.

I nearly reached the car park, when I spotted the track we should have taken, this was even worse as far as the mud was concerned. However after a nice brisk walk at midnight in the middle of the woods I made it to where I had intended going in the first place.

I started by doing an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) experiment to capture a ghost voice, this proved successful as three examples were captured upon inspection of the audio recording.

I then proceeded to hold another séance and this time an old gentleman made himself known to me, although he would not give me his name he did however start to move the hands of everyone in the circle, some more than others, much to the amazement of some of the guests as they had never experienced anything like that before.

Although the evening did not go according to my original plan, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and I hopefully proved to my guests that ghost hunting isn’t scary.
